Sage probably just wanted a family cause she'd feel lonely she was cool with kids until they started sharing chakra with other people then she got angry and started to attack her children.

I think black zetsu is manipulating kaguya if she really hates her kids she wouldn't be crying plus when she said I hate you she hesitated. It seems black zeysu is manipulating her that or kaguya is just bipolar with an extreme case
