![]() Name ➟ Shayde Uchiha Alias ➟ Vargulf Gender ➟ Male ♂ Age ➟ Twenty Three Clan ➟ Uchiha Ichizoku Birthdate ➟ Sept. 6th ![]() Appearance ➟ Shayde is a tall, handsome young man from the Uchiha Clan with a slim build and fair complexion. He has long, black, unkempt and wild hair which has an appearance similar to raven's feathers. Thanks to his extensive physical training Shayde possesses a fairly muscular physique, indicative of his love for the art of Taijutsu and close quarters combat in general, however, since defecting from Konoha, there have been many scars inflicted upon his body. Most noticeably are the numerous faded scars across his entire body, small echoes of the torture he recieved at the hands of the Knights of Tragedy and Havoc. Additionally, there is one far more severe scar found on his back. The words

seared and scrawled into his flesh itself in a crude and violent manner. Their meaning is a reminder, for his arrogance in the face of Kurogakure, and one he would not soon forget. Shayde's eyes are also worthy of note as his left is the common for the Uchiha Clan, onyx, while his right is as red as the blood in his veins and the fire at his core. This also visually affects his Sharingan, inverting the colour scheme for his right eye whenever his Dōjutsu is active.

Finally, Shayde's entire body is covered in a series of tattoo's which react to the flow of his Chakra, glowing vibrantly when Chakra is circulated through and around them. To the untrained eye it appears as though his tattoo's designs are constantly in motion, shifting from one design to the next, but in truth it's simply the result of his Tattoo's reacting to the flow of his Chakra, perpetually dancing across his skin. One of Shayde's favoured patterns is one based off of a traditional design for his Clan's ceremonial events, with "Tomoe" circling the collar and back of the garb. Shayde's tattoo's natural state mimics this design, with several black Tomoe forming a pattern across his collarbone, shoulders and back, much like a necklace in appearance. In addition to the cosmetic benefit, all of these tattoo's act as a fully functional Summoning Tattoo's for both his Summoning Contracts, and a unique Summoning Jutsu known as the Sentō Shōkan Jutsu, a.k.a, the Combat Summoner Jutsu. In terms of clothing, Shayde typically wears a red shirt, with black jacket, dark pants and black boots. Regardless of his current attire, he is always outfitted with a veritable arsenal of tools and weaponry, fully prepared for a wide, sensible, array of situations.Personality ➟ Where Shayde was once kind, cheerful, respectful and, generally a cool-headed individual, since seemingly succumbing to the fabled "Curse of Hatred" which is said to plague the Uchiha Clan, his attitude has become far darker, resulting in a near-complete reversion of his warm personality. Where there was once kindness, there is now a complete lack of empathy. His caring smile; engulfed by a perpetual scowl. His quiet sadness; replaced with inconsolable grief. Outside of combat, some habits never die. Shayde is still a cool, calm and collected individual, and even still retains some of his old "aloof" and "detached" habits, much to the same effect as when he was a member of Konoha. However, when things start to become hostile, this peaceful façade fades away, revealing the hollow shell of the man he used to be. Despite this however, Shayde is still a very intelligent individual, thanks to his heritage as a member of the Uchiha Clan. Because of this he has well developed reasoning and deduction skills, as well as their signature reaction speed, which is further enhanced by his well trained senses and the activation of his Sharingan, making him a formidable opponent for all but the strongest individuals. Village, Rank & Jutsu Information
Chapter 5, Wildfire "I was born to set this world on fire... But what can I do if it has already been reduced to ashes?" Months passed in Konohagakure, and Shayde quickly worked his way through the Village's Ranks once he had been properly intergrated back into the Village lifestyle. It wasn't long before he found himself burdened with more responsibility than most, first as the War General for Castiel, and soon after Saber, then the right hand of the current Hokage, as his First Officer. When he wasn't dealing with the menial day-today chores required of high-ranking Officials of a Hidden Village, he was out in the field, acting on behalf of the Hokage. When Death was nominated, Shayde was, naturally, saddened to hear of Saber's passing. Just like Castiel, she was a close friend, and one he looked up to very fondly, so upon hearing that a man who only went by the name of "Death" had taken her place, he was naturally devastated. The sheer irony that she would be replaced by a man who took the name of the inevitability that took her was almost too much too keep a straight face... But Shayde carried on, believing his love for his Village would carry him through this tough time. It wasn't all miles and fun, however. While he was growing tired of the smaller assignments, one large mission was given to both he, and the at-the-time Peace General, Ikiru Uchiha. Word had reached their ears of a small Village full of dangerous criminals, who had declared war on all of the Great Villages, and their nations, promising they would raze them to the ground. To prepare for the coming days, Shayde and Ikiru were sent on a diplomatic mission of the utmost importance, to Amegakure, to confirm whether or not the treaties of old, from the time of Death's predecessors, were still valid. Shayde and Ikiru departed immediately, travelling via ash cloud, kindly provided by the younger Uchiha, saving Shayde the effort it would take to summon one of his animal companions to facilitate their travel. Though mostly uneventful, during the travel, Shayde took the time to think back on all the suffering he, and his Village had seen in the short time since he had joined back up with them. From the War that broke out within the Hokage's Mansion itself, to the death and destruction caused by a man clad in steel armour darker than shadows themselves, all of these thoughts weighed heavily on him, and, unbeknownst to him, this overflowing wave of sadness was affecting Ikiru's ash cloud, changing the embers within the cloud from their natural hot, red state, to one of a cold, blue state. Shayde had no idea that the uncontrollable grief and despair that he was currently processing, was accidentally infecting Ikiru's Jutsu with his "Sovereign Flame", Imogen's Sorrow. As they neared their destination, the Land of Rain, Shayde put these thoughts from his mind, and focussed on the task at hand, reverting Ikiru's Jutsu back to normal. As they entered the Lands of Amegakure, Ikiru performed a Jutsu as a means of informing the Ame-Nin of their arrival, and peaceful intentions, and it didn't take long for someone to respond. In fact, within moments, it felt like half of the Village had come out to greet them... First was a young Hyūga by the name of Kēji, who was there to tell them that one of the Officials would be there shortly. Next was one who arrived by some unknown means, projecting an image of themselves to their location, albeit with a heavily distorted visage. Shayde was especially intrigued by this method, as it seemed both fun, and handy, to an extent. However, neither of them were Officials of Amegakure, so they were seemingly there to let them know that their presence had been recognized, and that one was on their way. A few more moments passed before another young man, by the name of Trunks, arrived. He was the Peace General of Amegakure at the time, and his arrival was delayed due to some form of clerical error, or such. It took him time to find Ame's original copy of the Peace Treaty, for it would be needed in the discussions ahead, and as proof of the accord struck between the two Villages. Showing the Treaty and it's conditions to Shayde, Trunks then detailed the same events that Shayde was partially ruminating on during their travel, but from Amegakure's perspective. They had thought Konoha had abandoned them, breaking one of the conditions on the treaty, thus making it's conditions invalid, and their agreement null. Shayde was about to explode in anger, when another Amegakure Ninja stepped forth. A familiar face to Shayde, and one that didn't inspire hope for his immediate future... Visions of a time before his current tenure in Konoha flashed before his eyes, of a War in the heart of the Leaf, of his friends falling like flies, and Shayde too cowardly to try and do anything about it. Once Castiel had left to fight, and failed to return, Shayde knew that it was hopeless... This man, Sado, had killed the Hokage himself, and came to finish the job. Shayde soon found himself immobilized, first by some overwhelming force, then physically, as his spine had been severed. For good measure, his eyes were then plucked from his skull, and he was left for dead, bleeding out on the floor of the Hokage's office... ![]() As tensions were rising, Shayde did his best to keep his cool, and summarize their position, options in the current state, etc. Before Sado could respond, another Rain Shinobi arrived, this time with tangible intel about the shadowy faction/ Village that had been causing destruction throughout the World. As Castiel's name was mentioned, Shayde found himself slipping once more into his internal sea of depression, again losing control of his Chakra, accidentally freezing the rain that fell perpetually in the Land of Rain with the lack of heat being generated by his body at the time. After some more diplomacy, the two Uchiha, and the Ame Nin came to an understanding, invoking a ceasefire of sorts, at least until the immediate threat had passed, at which time they would, potentially, discuss a new peace between them. It was good enough, considering that Amegakure didn't even consider them "Allies" before their arrival, so with that, the two Uchiha promptly returned home. Before they did however, in the spirit of cooperation, the two Villages decided to share information, as it stood to benefit boths sides. Information, such as names, locations, etc, related to Kurogakure were shared openly between all parties present. Coincidentally, Konoha's intel came at a rather important time, as Death had sent another one of Konoha's Shinobi to spy on Kurogakure, and gather as much intel as he could. Apparently barely escaping with his life, he soon returned to the Hokage, primarily with info relating to names, and abilities. As soon as Shayde saw the list from the Hokage, his heart sank once more. One of his closest friends, Kaneki, was among their apparent number. As the talks wound down, Shayde spent the rest of the journey home pondering why his friend would go so far as to join a faction the directly opposed his own Village, and friends... He tried to put it from his mind as they returned to Konohagakure... If only he had decided to do something about it then and there... Perhaps he could have avoided his eventual fate... Upon returning to Konoha, and reporting in to the Hokage, Shayde soon got back to work, organizing files, maintaining Konoha's various documents, etc. Not a few hours later, after the Hokage had swiftly left on "serious business", did a new development unfold within the heart of the Hidden Leaf. As an explosion rocked the Village to it's roots, Shayde promptly left to see what had happened. It wasn't hard to follow the screams and cries of the Villagers, as well as notice the direction the smoke and debris that had been flung through the Village came from. To his dismay, it was the Uchiha Police District... His home was completely decimated, and the culprit, by few scattered accounts, was an obese and horrifically ugly hag, had fled as soon as she had arrived. The coward... With his home, and all his personal belongings completely destroyed, he turned to the last bastion of his Clan; The Naka Shrine. As he made his way to the ancient meeting place for the Uchiha's plotted coup, he spied a small opening in the forest, but now wasn't the time for training... He just wanted to rest, and sleep off the day's events, for there had been many. As he arrived, the Shrine was in a state of near-complete dilapidation. No one had cared to maintain the Uchiha's sacred landmark, most likely due to word from the higher-ups, because of their plotted coup... Despite it being the equivalent of a hovel, Shayde spent the night there, because, as uncomfortable as it was, it was still a roof over his head for the timebeing. When he woke, he couldn't help but check the secret meeting room, where all of this began... It was completely barren, save for the braziers. Even the Sacred Stone Tablet of the Uchiha was gone, much to Shayde's dismay. Another relic of the old days, apparently lost to ignorant fools, who had no respect for the Uchiha, or their traditions... As he left and returned to the Village however, he spied that same opening, and a grave of sorts that he hadn't registered before. With Uchiha markings clearly visible on the grave, Shayde decided to check it out. The grave seemed to act, not as a marker for any single individual of the Clan, but for the Clan as a whole. Someone, Shayde didn't know who, had taken the Tablet, and placed it here, with this marker, perhaps as a way of respecting the Clan, and to remember all those lost in the Massacre? Whatever the case, it was only a matter of time before either someone found the Tablet, and stole it, or it was eaten away by the elements, and eroded and decayed to nothing. Shayde wouldn't let what happened to the Police District happen to this, their most treasured relic from the era's of their ancestors. To this effect, Shayde created a replica, using base Earth Release, and took the Tablet for his own ends, taking it with him back to the Mansion. Once there, Shayde immediately gathered some basic materials for tracing and recording the contents of the Tablet, and immediately began studying it for himself. In his youth, he was barred from looking at too intently, both by the elders of the Uchiha, and oddly enough, his own parents. He didn't understand why. Perhaps it had to do with his Sharingan's maturity at the time, or perhaps his own maturity, but Shayde reasoned that he was old enough that he didn't need to be wary of these warnings any more. Activating his Sharingan, he learned a great many things, such as the secrets of his Clan's Kekkei Genkai, and the Clan as a whole, as well as information regarding the Mangekyō Sharingan, how to unlock it, and what came with it... It required the user to kill their best friend, or, as an alternative translation, the loss of one's best friend if one wanted to be literal. There were also parts that Shayde's Sharingan couldn't decipher. Was one's ability to translate the Tablet directly tied to the maturity of their Dōjutsu? It seemed likely, as Shayde could only read it when his Sharingan was active, making it plausible that a higher state could decipher, or perhaps "perceive", more of the Tablet's secrets? Several hours of study later, Shayde fell asleep in the small room he had commandeered for his own use. As he lay, head face-planting the desk, partially drooling on the Tablet itself, he had a dream, although it felt much more tangible than that. It felt real, almost like a

of sorts. In this dream, he bore witness to a flat, barren landscape, save for one, single spire, atop which stood a lone figure, bathed in a red light from above. The surface of the Moon was completely enveloped by a Sharingan-like pattern, with several sets of Tomoe orbiting the lone pupil... Was this a Mangekyō Sharingan? They were said to possess radically different patterns than a regular Sharingan, but this seemed like it was simply 3 Sharingan layered atop one another... Was this the power it held? Everything but this lone spire was flat. Was the Mangekyō so powerful, that it could propel it's user to a level high above the rest of the world? Was he the one standing atop the spire? Was this what the future had in store form him? He had so many questions, but just as quickly as he found himself beholding this sight, he was abruptly pulled out of it. Someone had entered the room, and began addressing him. It, apparently, was a small boy, one he had never met before. Believing him to be merely a student at the Academy who got lost on the way to orientation, or something like that, Shayde tried to shoo him way, and make him someone else's problem, but as more and more people made their presences known, Shayde began to realize that this was no mere lost child. The clothes, mannerisms, the way the spoke, and acted, etc, all indicated to a group of outsiders by all accounts, and thus, a potential threat. As the conversation quickly shifted from Shayde to the Tablet, Shayde promptly removed it from play, fearing that was what they were after. After partially summoning a wolf's head to safely devour, and transport the Tablet far away from Konoha, Shayde relaxed, and, much to his surprise, "Meliodas" and his small group left soon thereafter, leaving Shayde alone to his thoughts once more. Shayde thought it odd, but didn't give chase. They didn't seem to be behind the recent attack on the Police District, and no other "attacks" had seemingly occurred, so Shayde thought it was better to live and let live.Alone, and with few comrades to talk to, given they had all left with the Hokage on that "urgent business" that Shayde wasn't privy to. Instead of wallowing in his bottomless spring of pity, he got to work trying to restore what files were lost in the destruction of the Police District, since he made it a hobby of sorts to speed-read through various files, folders, books, documents, etc, using his Sharingan's visual prowess to make the process effortless, and near-instantaneous. Recreating, in excruciating detail, them from memory was tedious, but easy enough for Shayde. However, part-way through the process, his companion, Roukan, returned with news of a sour nature. Apparently the Hokage lead an assault against Sunagakure for their successful attempt against the previous Hokage, and their failed attempt against the current one, yet despite taking large numbers of Konoha's forces, including some of the best Shinobi they currently had, they failed. Almost all of them beaten and bloodied, then slaughtered and killed, with no remorse. Shayde cursed them for their short-sightedness. The Leaf and Sand had went to War with one another when there was a much larger threat bearing down on them... The fools... Upon realizing that, once again, he was left alone, to try and pick up the pieces, Shayde snapped. Time and time again, he was abandoned. By his Clan. By his parents. By his friends, and now his Village... Everyone seemed to leave him alone. And this time, it was too much to bear. Storming outside, Roukan barely keeping up with him, Shayde then summoned his Griffin companion, Shriek, and took to the skies high above Konoha. Looking down on the Village that, despite being his home, had caused him so much grief, and sadness, he decided that this was the final straw. Roukan and Shriek watched in horror as Shayde released a fireball, large enough to engulf nearly the entire Village, on top of the Mansion itself. As it exploded, causing untold damage on impact, the Villagers that survived watched in horror as small, near-inconsequential embers slowly drifted towards the ground. Thinking them to merely be the remains of the Mansion, they were all horrified to find that each and every single one of the innumerable embers were in fact their own small, condensed maelstrom of flames, that released a torrential tower as they hit the ground, or something of substance. The entire Village was engulfed in an endothermic storm of rage and grief, bathing in the flames of Imogen's Sorrow, and Shayde simply watched from above, waiting for the flames to, eventually, die out, much like the Village itself... Eventually, only embers remained, and so he landed, and split off from his Summons. Walking through the dead echoes of his home, and former Village, Shayde watched as the few survivors that survived the onslaught struggled to remain alive. Some were completely frozen stiff, caught in their last moments, clutching their loved ones, while others were "lucky" enough to be partially, or mostly frozen. Some attempting to help, or try and fix their loved ones, only to watch in horror as their forms shattered at their touch, crumbling into nothing... Shayde didn't even bat an eye as he passed them by, completely indifferent to their cries for help. He had better things to do than listen to these insignificant parasites, and their pointless struggles any more. As he headed South, heading back to the Blood Tavern until he recovered from all of these events, he ran back into Meliodas, and his troupe. Apparently they were at the Mansion earlier to seek revenge on the Hokage for his assault on Sunagakure, and when they couldn't find him, they decided to humiliate him, before giving chase. They returned to eradicate what remained of Konohagakure's chain of command, and do as much damage as possible, but with Shayde defecting, after destroying the Village himself, it seemed they travelled all this way for nothing. Thus, with absolutely no need for hostility, the two groups went their separate ways, with Shayde continuing to head South East. As he finally arrived at the Blood Tavern, he was quickly pestered by some kid with red hair, asking him about his Griffin companion, or some annoying shit... Shayde nearly killed the poor lad right then and there, for his patience was at it's end, but he was quickly calmed down, and rushed away by Roukan, saving the kid from a slow and painful death... As the two of them made their way into the Tavern, Shayde knew it would take some time before he would recover from this entire ordeal, not just on account of the physical over-exertion back at the Mansion, but the mental strain he had been bottling up for so many weeks, and months, and years... Eventually, something had to give, and, unfortunately, after this, there was no going back...

Chapter 6, Last Ember "No flame, no matter how brilliant, does not one day splutter and fade. But then, from its ashes, it reignites. Reborn, sporting a new face. It is a curse... And it is your Bloodline that has inherited this curse." Several weeks passed, but Shayde was not as restless as the inhabitants of Crimson State Island would have preferred. Between the random earthquake-like tremors that shook the island, the random snowstorms and glacier-like formations that began to litter the landscape, and the perpetual, pained screaming that echoed from the deepest reaches of the forests on the island, Shayde had become a very unwelcome addition to the populace of Crimson State Island. This all came to a head as Shayde was leaving the Island, finally ready to hunt down his best friend, and "suffer" the "loss" of his death... All in the name of achieving the Mangekyō Sharingan. As he was heading for the coast, several Rogue's had gathered in an attempt to ambush him... How silly they were. As threats were hurled at the lone Uchiha, he simply stared on at the sheer courage it took to stand before him, knowing that all of the recent destructive activity was of his own doing. As the mob started their assault, Shayde's body tensed up, as Roukan began a full sprint in the other direction. The idiots took this as a sign of cowardice on the canine's part, but they had no idea it was fear of Shayde, not them. In an instant, Shayde had sped through the entire group, landing precise strikes on each and every single one, as though it was nothing. ![]() The journey from Crimson State Island was almost entirely uneventful, besides Roukan's insistent warnings that Shayde was out of his depth, and that they were walking to their death, Shayde didn't care. All he did care about was awakening his Dōjutsu's next stage, no matter the cost. As they made landfall on the steel shores of Kurogakure, Shayde had no idea where to start. So many spires of black steel were jutting out of the ground, grasping up towards the sky, Shayde thought it would be far too much hassle to chase his prey, especially on his home turf. Instead, he let out a Killing Intent that was highly potent, but spread throughout the entire Village, making it's effect much weaker, but sure to reach his target. It didn't matter if it was directed at everyone else present however, as these were Ninja that were feared throughout the entire world. If they took something as inconsequential as high-ranking, yet highly dispersed Killing Intent personally, then they were not all they were cracked up to be. After a moment of leaking this intent through the entire blackened Land, Shayde then redirected his Chakra, manipulating his Chakra to project his voice throughout the entire Village. If Kaneki failed to show up after this, then he was nothing but a coward. Shayde didn't realize thought that, up until this point, he was but a mere annoyance to the Shinobi of Kurogakure. His next actions, however, would seal his fate... Kaneki had failed to show, so Shayde decided to show just how serious he was to these "Shinobi". Gathering a unique blend of Sound Ninjutsu Chakra, and Fire Release Chakra, Shayde then began to channel this Chakra throughout the primarily-steel Land, quickly and rapidly melting entire structures, creating a Salvador Dali-an view before him. As the Chakra made its way to the largest spire however, it abruptly disappeared, pulled towards it like some kind of beacon. Shayde reasoned they must have had someone who could absorb Chakra amongst their ranks, which was likely, given that it was a very handy ability for anyone to have. As to what kind, Shayde didn't know enough to hazard a guess, so instead, he simply waited for his "friend" to show up. Expecting a tearful reunion with his dear pal, instead another figure came from the direction of the tower, one Shayde wasn't familiar with, not in name, form or abilities. This was troubling, but not panic-worthy to Shayde. He made his intentions clear from the get-go, he was here to kill Kaneki, so he didn't expect any hostility to come from this stranger. But as soon as they got close enough, Shayde found himself heavily bound in place by some form of Seal, or Barrier, that enveloped his entire body, making it impossible to move. Quickly realizing the futility of the situation, Shayde surrendered, on the condition that his companions were allowed to leave in peace. The stranger, known to those in Kurogakure as the Knight of Havoc, didn't even register their appearance as a threat, so they were "allowed" to leave, while Shayde, the target of this man's ire, would remain. Soon after being bound, Kaneki arrived, too late for any kind of showdown however, as it appeared as though Shayde was to be transported back to the Tower the Knight of Havoc came from, to face judgement for his transgressions against Kurogakure. As they arrived within a Throne Room of sorts, Shayde saw several individuals gathered, and one that, to the unobservant or uninformed, appeared to be the Mad King himself. After a laugh or two at Shayde's expense, mistaking another individual entirely for the Leader of the entire Nation, Shayde's trial went under-way. Part way through it, however, Kaneki saw fit to dish out premature justice for Kurogakure, grasping Shayde by the head, covering his eyes with his palm, before utilizing some unknown form of Chakra to invade Shayde's mind. Shayde experienced unbearable pain as Kaneki's Chakra ate away at his body, mind and soul. His eyelids were slowly being devoured, no doubt an attempt at instilling fear for his Dōjutsu, and it was indeed working. Shayde had never experienced anything like this pain before. It was completely alien to him. Breaking down his flesh, invading his mind and thoughts, feasting upon his soul... He could do nothing but scream as Kaneki's Jutsu slowly eroded his very existence from the world. He felt like he was suspended in a state of perpetual torture for an eternity, but then Kaneki stopped short before reaching Shayde's eyes themselves. Gasping for air at this point, Shayde was relieved that Kaneki had apparently had enough fun for the moment. Kaneki himself then addressed Jeanne, and tried to hide Shayde's true motivations for wishing to kill him, giving some speech about a former comrade Kaneki had killed, and Shayde was out to seek revenge for it. It took everything Shayde had to prevent himself from bursting out in laughter, and he still failed. He made sure everyone knew that the "Knight of Tragedy" was a bare-faced liar. Shayde hadn't come all this way to "avenge" a former comrade. He had blown his own Village up not a few weeks back, so why would he give a modicum of attention to some "comrade" Kaneki apparently killed? The only explanation was that Kaneki was covering for Shayde, but Shayde wasn't having any of it. Shayde let everything out, his reasons for coming here, his desire to awaken the secrets of his Kekkei Genkai, acknowledgement that he was entirely out of his depth, and deserved what was coming to him, finishing with an admission of guilt, sealing his fate... Even as Shayde continued, as soon as the Knight of Havoc, Avenger, heard that admission, he immediately took it upon himself to render judgement. Creating some form of lightless blade that radiated with an intense heat, he began to slowly torture Shayde. Or, at least, he tried to. Compared to the suffering he had just endured at the hands of Kaneki's, albeit out of turn, torture, this was nothing. This man thought Shayde, an Uchiha, someone who grew up being burned by his own Jutsu, and lived for the pursuit of greater temperatures, would suffer at the hands of some paltry heat? This torture was a warm campfire, a resting place amidst the abyss that was Kaneki's torturous capabilities. Even when his face was being slowly seared. Even when his back was being permanently scarred with the "reminder" that were the words "Ab Hinc". Even when his hand was being mangled beyond belief, Shayde did not flinch, nor cry out in pain. He would endure this "torture" for the rest of his life, however long that would be, before he would let Kaneki anywhere near him again... But upon realizing that Avenger's methods weren't exactly "entertaining", the acting Ruler of Kurogakure, Jeanne D'Arc, decided it was only fitting that Kaneki would be the one to punish Shayde, given he had come here to kill Kaneki... "Why, oh why, couldn't it have been the other one?" Shayde thought to himself. At least Avenger's attacks didn't leave a mark upon Shayde's very soul. His torture was skin-deep, unlike the near abyssal hunger than Kaneki exuded, which could only be satiated by the consumption of another's very being... And that scared the shit out of Shayde... He wanted to beg for Avenger to handle his punishment. He would accept all the "reminders" Avenger was willing to give, so long as, in return, Kaneki didn't so much as lay a hand on him... But that wasn't what fate, or Ruler, had in mind for him. And thus, the single longest moment of Shayde's life began... As Kaneki slowly approached, Shayde found himself propped up on a cross of steel... The fact he couldn't move on his own was enough, but this?! This was overkill of the grandest nature. He was to be made an example of then... So be it. Shayde readied himself, or at least, as much as he could, but knowing how strong Kaneki had become since his defection, and the proof seared into his very soul from a simple touch, Shayde knew that preparedness wouldn't help him. Not this time... As Kaneki started unveiling his abilities, Shayde did everything in his power to put it from his mind, but then... Screams... Torturous, rapturous screams... They sounded far too familiar to be random... They sounded like the screaming souls of the ones Shayde killed that day... This wasn't too much of a stretch, for if Kaneki had indeed been inside his head, he would have known... Cheap bastard... These screams were but one way he would try and break Shayde, but he felt absolutely no remorse from his actions in Konoha.. And yet... They still bothered him. Sweating profusely on his execution stand, it was clear that he would not break, for he was already broken. He broke quite some time ago in fact. His actions at the Mansion were simply the result of the last straw breaking his back... And then it started. As the ground splintered and fractured as Kaneki progressed, all Shayde could see was the face of a much younger friend. The one he thought he had come here to kill. But it was clear... That person was already dead, and long gone. In his place stood a much more malevolent and bestial creature, who would now kill Shayde. How ironic... Kaneki was trying to break the boy that was already broken, and Shayde tried to kill the boy that was already dead... As the tendrils of darkened muscle started lashing out at Shayde, driving into his flesh, tearing him asunder, breaking his body from within, he couldn't even utter a single syllable... ![]() Eventually, "something" did come... A light... As he was thrust towards it, he made out small details of the sight before him... He was back in the throne room, seemingly given respite from the abyss... Cursing his luck that he was still alive, or at least conscious at this point, he realized that it was far from over... What Shayde had experienced up until this point were merely Kaneki's attempts at playing with Shayde, his food... And his "true" punishment was about to commence... Barely holding on at this point, Shayde watched as Kaneki's approach, seemingly still going, despite the eternity he spent in dark abyss, had come to an end. As he raised his hand, the portion of the execution stand that had kept his right arm in place suddenly came to life. Shayde could only watch in horror as his arm, the same one which Avenger ruthlessly mangled the hand of, was twisted, and completely broken. Even if Shayde could "feel" anything at this point, which was impossible due to every nerve in his body screaming out in agony for him, he certainly would no longer have any feeling in that arm of his... It was done for. Useless. Broken beyond repair. And yet, there was yet more... As Kaneki stared at the arm, Shayde knew, but did not want to think about, what was next. He didn't even have the strength to close his eyes, and was forced to watch as Kaneki, and whatever that writhing mass of organic material, and foul black Chakra that permeated from his entire form, dug in to the arm. Hungrily devouring the now broken limb, Shayde knew for sure now. This was how he would die. Kaneki would systematically break his body, and devour it, piece by piece, all the while, this muscle-like mass would carve and dig into his form, leaving parts of it still lodged in the wounds to ensure Shayde felt the pain, but did not bleed out immediately from the experience... But at this rate, it was merely a matter of time... With every new bite, Shayde knew he should have been dealing with the urge to vomit, yet he couldn't even muster the strength for it. All he could do was watch as he was slowly devoured by what he thought was still the same kid he once fought alongside. It was one of the only things he could hold on to as he slowly disappeared from the world... But just as soon as Kaneki had started to feast, he stopped, stating that he thought Shayde had had enough, as did the rest of the members present. He further added that he was "going easy" on Shayde, because they were once friends, mentioning some code... It wasn't entirely clear to Shayde what he meant, but did that mean he was done with him? Shayde didn't even have to look at what was left of his body to know, just like Kaneki's assurance that he was finished, he was too... Even with the parts of his body that were trying to bleed profusely blocked with Kaneki's Kagune, the spot where his right arm once was was another matter entirely... Shayde tried to beg Kaneki to just end it, and that he'd never be his comrade, not after this, he couldn't manage to speak a single word. He only managed to spew out blood. After the crucifix disappeared, with Shayde being left to slump on to the floor, staring down at the ground, with still no way of moving, even if he had the strength, due to one of the Knight of Havoc's Seals... This was surely overkill at this point... And yet, he still wasn't dead, by the grace of whatever demon that granted miracles in this horrid Land. Thus, without a word, or a motion, he simply waited for death to claim him... But as it turned out, waiting in silence for death's embrace took waaaaaay longer than Shayde ever imagined. Even after the ungodly amount of torture he had suffered, for some reason, his body refused to just give in and die already... He never thought that his endurance would ever be used against him like this, but, clearly, it was something that only prolonged his suffering. Despite the inability to feel anything any more, Shayde could still hear rather well, and see too. At least Kaneki was kind enough not to take away the remaining links he had to the world, along with his arm... But while not immediately apparent, this was more of a curse than a gift... Kaneki had, cruelly, left his senses intact, so he could hear the sounds of his body cracking under his own weight, and see every last drop of blood that was leaving his form, bit by bit. Reduced to a pile of meat and bones and blood, Shayde could do nothing but watch as he was being bled, like a pig brought to slaughter. A voice could be heard echoing throughout the hall, Jeanne's. It seemed she wasn't nearly as content as Kaneki with the "entertainment"... And thus, his torture would continue, this time, at her own discretion. But Shayde did not expect the next development. As Jeanne calmly made her way towards Shayde, a faint, yet very distinctive hum could be heard, while a familiar heat started to fill the room, accompanied by a signature high frequency vibration, that Shayde was all to familiar with... Somehow, Ruler was now surrounded by an aura of his own Rhythm Release Chakra. Shayde guessed that she must have been the one to absorb his technique from before, and utilized it much like his Wolves could, by "recycling" the Chakra, allowing her to recreate his own Element before his very eyes... Had he not suffered enough today? Chakra forcefully drained from him, multiple times... His body sealed beyond any movement, or circulation of Chakra... His very soul swallowed by an eternally hungry abyss... His body broken and beaten beyond repair... The loss of his arm, and the ability to weave seals, and perform Jutsu, robbed of his professions most valuable tool... Now this? His own Element was to be used against him? There is only so much one can take before they truly break down, and Shayde was nearing that point... And yet, Ruler did not immediately dispatch the creator of the ability she currently wielded, instead grabbing him by his still bleeding wound, cauterizing it... Was she saving his life, or prolonging it even more, to lengthen his suffering.? Given her statement that, since Shayde had tried to burn the King's property, the same should be done to him, the latter was the most likely... Done in by his own unique Element? An Element which he prepared and slaved for months, trying to perfect the delicate balance of Sound Ninjutsu, and Fire Release Chakra, and yet this vixen had absorbed it, and taken control of it in less than a day, less than an hour in fact... Were all members of Kurogakure inconceivable monsters? The question was obviously rhetorical in nature... Of course they were... Shayde watched, partly in horror, the other in relief, as Ruler's hand begun to extend towards his eyes. While she would be using his own Element to remove his most valuable remaining asset, at least he wouldn't have to see the mangled mess he had become any longer... ![]() That is, until, another hand graced Shayde's presence... This time he felt, for the first time since he had arrived, that a weight had been lifted from him. It seemed as though Avenger, either in a fit of pity, or perhaps impatience, saw Shayde struggling to answer, so he decided to give him "options". In an instant, the seal that had been restricting Shayde's every move and action was lifted. Alarmingly, all this time, Shayde had been trying with every ounce of strength he had, to channel even some small semblance of Chakra, but it wasn't until Avenger's seal was lifted that anything occurred. So when it was lifted, Shayde's Chakra Network went into overdrive, circulating Chakra throughout his entire form. The tattoo's that adorned his body, while mangled, torn and bloodied, still came to life in a vibrant display of resolve. While one might not be able to discern, from a glance, where one part of Shayde ended, and another began, his tattoo's still followed his body's natural shape and pathways, glowing in an overwhelmingly bright blue glow. With his eyes, for the time-being, still working, and Jeanne focussed solely on them, he immediately diverted this Chakra up towards his eyes, flooding his optic nerves and Tenketsu with Chakra. In an instant, both of his eyes showed more life than either his form, or words, ever could in this moment. The left igniting into a blazing red, while the right fading into a deep, dark, much like the one Kaneki imposed upon him, Shayde knew, this was the time to put all his chips on the table. Using his Sharingan to, not so much trap, but escort Jeanne into a Genjutsu, where the two could actually converse, regardless of Shayde's current physical, sorry state. Within the Genjutsu, Shayde couldn't help but ruminate on the past, his mother especially... Apparently being inches from death made him miss those who he still considered "close" to him. No one could blame him, for no one can truly be judged until their last moments, or in this case, what they considered would be their last moments. As he continued, mentioning the mantra his mother drilled into him from an early age, and all the various attempts he made to understand it, before he finally settling on the thought that seeking their meaning was the intention, and that they had instilled him with a drive to further himself, no matter what, he realized. He was currently standing on the precipice of a great change, and he began to waver, ever so slightly. He feared the inevitable plunge into the abyss... Would he take the plunge alone, or with Kurogakure at his side? He wasn't sure... Could Shayde risk trying this alone, or would he be better off taking Ruler up on her offer... If his first endeavour at aiming for the Mangekyō Sharingan was this blatantly unsuccessful, could he afford to refuse the offer? After a moment of contemplation, taking into account Kaneki's apparent evolution and growth since joining the Ranks of Kurogakure, he was overwhelmingly tempted to take Ruler up on her offer... And made this desire known, telling her just how far he was willing to go to achieve his own goals, engulfing the entire world in his flames if need be. With a final, determined gaze into her eyes, he let the Genjutsu go, resigning his fate, life and future to Kurogakure. Whether or not he was still "himself" by the time the darkness of Kurogakure had swallowed him whole, and spat him back out, he didn't care. So long as he was still alive, he could still carry on, no matter what condition he was in... And as ironic as it was, apparently the members of Kurogakure didn't care whether or not he was the same Uchiha once they were done either... Although they provided immediate healing for his most life-threatening wounds via Medical Ninjutsu, some parts, such as the scar on his back, and the loss of his right arm, were too much, even for a Medical Shinobi. But Kaneki was more than kind enough to provide Shayde with a "replacement"... By surgically attaching part of his cancerous muscle mass, the Kagune, directly on to Shayde's right shoulder, where his arm once was. The "procedure" was not only experimental, but mental in general, as there was no guarantee that it would bond with a host tissue outside of Kaneki, that it would form into a replacement arm for Shayde, that it wouldn't interfere with his recuperation after the torture he had endured up until this point, and so on... And yet, despite all odds against him, Shayde seemed to recover, both from his injuries, and with a lump of biomass acting as a prosthetic limb. In fact, this "replica" seemed to completely mimic the real thing... But only time would tell just how much he had been affected by the torture inflicted upon him by the Knights of Havoc and Tragedy, as well as the decisions made by Ruler that placed him in Kurogakure's service... To Be Continued... Specialties & Other Information ![]() Fire Release ➟ Being from a Clan of Shinobi who are renowned for their Fire Release users, it comes as no surprise that Shayde is both a natural master, and an eternal student, of the Fire Element. It is undoubtedly his favourite Element, and one which he commands with perfect control and overwhelming confidence. Shayde's mastery of the Fire Element allows him to perform Fire Release Jutsu with a Single Hand Seal, which is almost always the Tiger Seal, and if not, the Seal of Confrontation. Sovereign Flame ❅ Imogen's Sorrow ➟ In addition to his base skills with Fire Release, Shayde has also acquired a rare and unique Jutsu, which takes ones emotional state and uses it to alter and amplify their Fire Style Jutsu. In this case, the overwhelming grief Shayde has pent up for years has completely consumed him. These emotions have culminated in the rediscovery of the Sovereign Flame, Imogen's Sorrow. With this unique, externally endothermic, cold, ghostly pale blue flame at his disposal, Shayde's Fire Release Jutsu have transcended conventional boundaries, and entered a completely new and unexplored realm of possibilities. (Nanatsu Shukenja Kaen) Seven Sovereign Flames
Type: Supplementary Rank: N/A Range: N/A Chakra: N/A Damage: N/A Description: Created by a group of Fire Style Masters who used their emotions to influence their Chakra, the Seven Sovereign Flames are not considered traditional Jutsu in the sense that the user simply gathers Chakra, adds various changes to Shape and Nature, then performs it against their opponent in Battle. Rather, they are the purest form of "Supplementary Enhancement" for all techniques that the user knows that fall under the Basic 5 Element of Fire. The user takes their skill in the manipulation of the Fire Element and combines it with their powerful, sometimes overwhelming, emotions, with the result being seven new types of Fire, each with their own special properties, all derived directly from the emotions infused into them. The Seven Masters all created their Sovereign Flames after succumbing to the repercussions of their own emotions. One was consumed with hatred and rage, and hurt the one he loved, while another gave up something precious to them, and was consumed with overwhelming grief and sadness. After their own traumatizing experiences, and eventual personal revelations, they all came to understand and accept the flaws in their own emotional states, and used their understanding of these emotions to further their skills in Fire Release, revealing their true colours as it were. The concept of emotions influencing Chakra has been referenced in the series on a few occasions. One of the best examples of this is Karin Uzumaki, a powerful Sensor-Type Ninja with a unique and extremely detailed form of Sensory perception. Using her Sensory abilities Karin once described both Naruto and Sasuke's Chakra at around the same time in the series claiming Naruto's was "bright and warm", while Sasuke's was "dark and cold", which coincided with both of their emotions during the Five Kage Summit Arc. Karin's description of the nature of both Naruto and Sasuke's Chakra supports the concept that one's Chakra is tightly interwoven with the current state of the users emotions, with this Jutsu using different emotions to directly affect and alter the user's Fire Release Chakra in unique and interesting ways. The Seven Sovereign Flames are directly applied to one's biography, under the Specialties section as an extension of the Fire Element, thus requiring any user of this Jutsu to specialize in the Fire Element. Within this extension of their Fire Element specialty, the user must specify one of the Seven Sovereign Flames, which becomes their "personal" Sovereign Flame, which they naturally embody, allowing the user to imbue their entire Fire Release arsenal into that Sovereign Flame, each with their own unique properties (All of which are explained below). Only one user of this Jutsu can specialize in any given Sovereign Flame at a time, meaning two users cannot embody the same Flame at the same time. The Sovereign Flame that the user specializes in will always be available to the them at the start of a battle (in addition to base/ regular Fire Style), at no additional Chakra cost. Additionally, while the Sovereign Flames have their own unique properties, they are all still considered, for all intents and purposes, Fire Style Ninjutsu, and always follow the Elemental interactions and guidelines for regular Fire Style, regardless of any unique or alternative properties they possess. Finally, the effects of the Sovereign Flames scale with the Rank, size, overall power, etc of the Jutsu they are infused into, just like any regular form of Elemental Ninjutsu, with higher ranking Jutsu logically dealing more severe effects upon contact with a target, object or surface. The Sovereign Flames themselves are as follows; Asmodeus' Ire - Created as the result of his rage hurting one he loved, Asmodeus created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own anger to access this brutally crimson red fire, which is deeply rooted in all things connected with rage. Asmodeus' Ire grants one's Fire Style with the ability to barbarically consume oxygen, creating a Fire that is extremely volatile, and explodes on contact with any form of solid matter. This phenomena is also referred to as a "thermobaric explosion", and has the added benefit of severely reducing oxygen levels in the immediate area of effect of any Fire Jutsu imbued with this Sovereign Flame, lessening the power of any and all Fire Style within the area after this Sovereign Flame has been used by 1 Rank. Alisa's Bliss - The end result from the overbearing joy that she brought into the world, Alisa created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own joy to access this vibrant Sovereign Flame, which is linked directly to the user's happiness. As she was never one to enjoy fights, Alisa's Bliss has no blatantly offensive properties, creating a yellow flame that grants one's Fire Style with the ability to blind all within Short Range of a Jutsu imbued with this Sovereign Flame when it explodes, similar in nature to a flashbomb. Diarmuid's Covetousness - Born from attempting to fill an empty, endless void in his life by accumulating material goods, Diarmuid forged this gangrenous green Sovereign Flame, which is deeply rooted in all things connected with jealousy. Diarmuid's Covetousness grants one's Fire Style with the ability to steal, or copy, the attributes and abilities of other Fire Release Jutsu it is able to make direct contact with, and successfully overpower. This applies to both friendly and enemy Jutsu, and allow attributes that stem from both the manipulation of the Chakra's Nature and Shape. However, any attempt to "steal" or "copy" the abilities of another Sovereign Flame will result in failure, as the conflicting nature of the emotions that constitute the Sovereign Flames will render each other inert. While it has no stolen attributes or abilities, it produces basic flames just like a regular Fire Jutsu, simply with a different colour. Imogen's Sorrow - Imogen's perpetual sadness came from an ultimatum that shattered her life, with the resulting sadness causing her to forge her own Sovereign Flame by accident. The user must also know and understand their own sadness to access this silent, ghostly blue fire, which is deeply affected by the sorrows of ones life. Imogen's Sorrow infuses one's Fire Style with the property to exude an external endothermic reaction in place of the regular exothermic reaction, drawing in heat from the Jutsu's surroundings and forcing the outer reaches of the Jutsu to be "perceived" as cold. But despite this perception, at the core of any Jutsu imbued with Imogen's Sorrow still burns a powerful flame like regular Fire Ninjutsu, causing the usual burns on contact with a target or surface. The difference is the first moments where the Jutsu approaches an opponent, making them believe it's something entirely different from Fire Ninjutsu, thus giving the user a slight advantage. Schifone's Acrimony - Unfortunately for it's creator, this Sovereign Flame was created from their abhorrent disgust for the world. The user must also know and understand their own disgust to access this pungent purple fire, which is connected with one's own sense of revulsion. Schifone's Acrimony grants one's Fire Style with the ability to produce an overwhelming scent, as it consumes more of the trace elements found in the air. With these higher concentrations of those trace elements, the flame bombards the opponents sense of smell, overloading it, while also effectively acting as an active marking agent that allows Olfactory Sensors, like Ninja Hounds and the Inuzuka, to track the target to the ends of the Earth, regardless of attempts to remove it. Phobos' Recreancy - Born from a perpetual, crippling fear of the world, and the darkness within it, Phobos created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own fears to access this deceptively dim black fire, which is deeply rooted in cowardice. Phobos' Recreancy imbues one's Fire Style with the unique property to emit zero light, thus creating a black fire that perfectly blends into darkness, and is well suited for assassinations or deception, as it is identical to the famed Black Flames of Amaterasu, though obviously lacking it's unique ability to never be extinguished. Rhiannon's Clarity - Rhiannon was a very unique young woman, as she never really had any predisposition for any emotion whatsoever. Eventually she came to understand that this was not the product of apathy, or a disinterest in showing any emotion, but simply the result of achieving a true state of peace, and by coming to acknowledge this, she created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know have a sense of neutrality to access this surprisingly unique pure, clear fire, which is the result of enlightenment. Rhiannon's Clarity imbues one's Fire Style with the unique property to completely allow light to almost pass completely through it, thus creating the illusion that the user's fire is invisible. Despite this "invisibility", it still distorts any light that passes through it, created a "wavy" effect that can still be seen by the naked eye. Note: This Jutsu must be stated in the user's biography, and posted at the beginning of every battle. Note: Chosen flame must be stated in the user's bio. Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ. Ninjutsu ➟ In addition to his affinity for Fire Release, Shayde also possesses an affinity for Basic Ninjutsu. This affinity manifests itself in two very specific fields, the first in the form of a very precise level of Chakra Control. This has evolved into a proficiency over the two fundamental concepts that make most, if not all, Jutsu possible; Shape and Nature Manipulation. As both are used in almost all forms of Jutsu, with this proficiency in the two concepts, Shayde is able to quickly and concisely shift and swap between various forms and Elements of Jutsu, especially with his personal Taijutsu technique, the Litmus Fist. The second field that Shayde's affinity for Ninjutsu allows him is a mastery over the Summoning Jutsu. With his personal Summons, the Maned Wolves, as well as the Griffin Contract at his disposal, Shayde is a very powerful Summoner-Type Shinobi, on par with the likes of the Legendary Sage of Mount Myōboku, Jiraiya. With this specialty comes one very special benefit, namely, the ability to permanently maintain a Summoning from one of his Contracts. This is further detailed in the "Maned Wolf CSC" portion, found below. Taijutsu ➟ Thanks to his constant, rigorous training in, and study of, the art of Taijutsu, Shayde has become a very adamant and sturdy close combat fighter, able to take more than his fair share of hits, primarily thanks to a technique he learned completely by chance; Tekkai. In addition to this, as a Taijutsu specialist, Shayde has access to special, higher tier Taijutsu, one example being the legendary "Konoha Ryūjin", or "Leaf Dragon God", and gains a bonus to his tracking capabilities, as well as the ability to fight those of his Clan, who cast Genjutsu through mutual visual contact, without looking them in the eye, by focussing on their chin. These benefits, in tandem with his unwavering constitution, makes Shayde a very competent close range fighter. Tekkai ➟ Shayde's staggering constitution and capability to take a hit is primarily thanks to a technique he learned from the infamous Shinobi,

. The technique, "Tekkai" or "Iron Body", allows its user to harden the muscles in their body to superhuman levels, comparable to that of iron. Following in his teachers footsteps, Shayde decided to spent a great deal of time training with his Tekkai active until it nearly became second nature, able to activate it at a moments notice. While under it's influence, Shayde is constantly protected from physical attacks, as though it were a second skin, while his own attacks are strengthened by the power of his hardened muscles, making his own Taijutsu that much more powerful.(Tekkai) Iron Mass
Rank: A Type: Supplementary; Taijutsu Range: - Chakra: 30 Damage: +10 to Taijutsu Description: After years of training in Taijutsu, the user has developed a way of nullifying physical damage. He will focus Chakra through the muscles on his body, hardening them to the level of iron so that even a sword only does a superficial cut on the user. This gives him more resistance while suffering attacks and at the same time, more force. Although with this technique the user can endure a lot of damage, a strong enough technique, such as Tsunade’s and Sakura’s enhanced punches can affect him. This technique is said to be as strong as Kakuzu’s Earth Spear. This technique has some weaknesses, has it only hardens the user's muscles, meaning some parts of the user's body will still be vulnerable, like the tendons behind the knee, ears, etc. ![]() Combat Summoner ➟ Shayde also possesses a very unique and powerful Nintaijutsu technique, which required him to cover his entire body with tattoo's before he could even begin to utilize it. Using a full-body Summoning Tattoo that is unique to the Combat Summoner Jutsu, Shayde is able to partially call upon his Summoning Animals for aid, which is especially deadly in close quarters combat, swiftly summoning his animal companions to help overwhelm his opponents in tandem with his own overwhelmingly powerful Taijutsu. The technique also has uses outside of straight up hand to hand combat, allowing it's user to perform various forms of actions, including summoning his companions to protect and guard him from Jutsu that would otherwise be fatal, utilize their own biology to achieve feats that would normally be impossible for him, and other such extraordinary actions, all with the speed and ease of use that the Summoning Jutsu allows. With his Maned Wolves and Griffin's at his disposal, Shayde has an unprecedented level of variety in his options for this Jutsu, which earned him a new moniker, which was taken from the name of the technique itself, the Sentō Shōkan. (Nintaijutsu: Sentō Shōkan no Jutsu) Ninja Body Art: Combat Summoner Technique
Type: Offensive/ Defensive/ Supplementary Rank: B-Rank Range: Short - Mid (Depending on the size of the Summon) Chakra: 20 - 40 (Depending on the Rank of the Summon) Damage: 40 - 80 (Depending on the Rank of the Summon) Description: Created by a Summoning Jutsu savant known as the Sentō Shōkan (Combat Summoner) with the specific goal of allowing the user to combine both the Summoning Jutsu and Taijutsu together, he was able to create a new form of Close Quarters Combat. In the simplest terms, the Combat Summoner technique takes the basic concept of the Summoning Jutsu and allows them to be performed in conjunction with Taijutsu. As this Jutsu has its roots set in the Summoning Jutsu, this Jutsu requires it's user to fulfil similar conditions as the Summoning Jutsu, with minor differences which are explained below. This Jutsu is primarily responsible for introducing and explaining the concept of "Combat Summoning", and acting as a reference for derived techniques, all of which will logically fall under the category of Nintaijutsu. There are 2 key aspects to the Combat Summoner technique, the first of which is the alteration to and general application of the user's Summoning Tattoo('s). Instead of being a small, easily concealed Tattoo which is utilized for instant Summoning without Hand Seals, the Tattoo is applied to the entirety of the users body. Because of this it functions like an active map of the user's body for the Summoning Technique itself, with each part of the user's body being linked to a corresponding part of their Summoning Animal's body through their Tattoo's. This allows the user to Summon the corresponding body part of their Summon by activating the Tattoo('s) located on that specific body part. The second aspect is the actual application of the technique in battle. The regular Summoning Jutsu works by signing a Contract with a specific Animal in blood, then sacrificing a small portion of blood each time the user wishes to use the Summoning Jutsu, by wiping blood on their Tattoo, then applying both Chakra and pressure to a surface via direct contact. This technique's Summoning steps are almost identical, with the only real difference being a more direct approach to the "Contact" portion. Logically the user must still apply both blood and Chakra to their Tattoo's, and make contact with a surface, the surface mainly being considered the opponent's body, before the Combat Summoning actually occurs. The following is an example of how this Jutsu would work within a standard combat scenario; A signer of the Toad Contract performs the D-Rank Taijutsu technique "(Kodzuku) Punch" with their left fist which connects with their target, while also meeting the conditions for the Summoning Jutsu. As they channel Chakra through the Tattoo on their left arm, which also has the necessary blood wiped across it, they become able to "Summon" the left arm of their Summoning Animal to reinforce their attack, which for the purposes of this example is the B-Rank Summon, Gamatatsu. Gamatatsu's fist then almost instantly "materializes" in the area surrounding the user's left arm, similar in appearance and function to how users of the Mangekyō Sharingan can partially manifest their Susano'o's arm, appearing in the area surrounding the user, but not "overlapping" it. This means that any harmful Jutsu that the user may have active will not affect the Summoned fist, as they would not be able to make direct contact, unless the harmful Jutsu has an extended range. Gamatatsu's fist also attacks the target, following the same general speed, trajectory, etc as the users attack, creating a two pronged attack, one being the D-Rank (20 Damage) punch the user threw, and the other being the B-Rank (40 Damage) Combat Summoner punch from Gamatatsu, resulting in a total of 60 damage, should both punches successfully land without interference. Upon the completion of the attack, whether either attack was successful or not, Gamatatsu's arm disappears as quickly as it appeared, leaving the user to plan their next attack accordingly. Note: The Combat Summoner Tattoo's are designed and applied by the user at their own discretion, requiring the user to post this Jutsu in the "Other" portion, and describe the appearance of their Tattoo's within the "Appearance" portion, of any Biography that wishes to use this Jutsu. Note: Although the damage of this technique is taken directly from the Rank of the chosen Summon, unique effects and abilities for any Summons utilized with this technique must also be taken into consideration, whether they be a result of that Summon's Biology, or some passive ability they possess. Note: Due to the unique method of Summoning that the Combat Summoner Jutsu utilizes, the partial Summoning method employed by the Combat Summoner Jutsu does not affect the Regular Summoning Jutsu Method. This is because the Combat Summoning method relies solely on the actions and Chakra of the user for it's activation, and thus doesn't conflict with it. However, any Animal that has been Summoned using the Regular Method, and subsequently used up their summoning time, cannot be Summoned via the Combat Summoner Method. This is because when Animals are Summoned using the Regular Method, they expend their own Chakra to maintain the Summoning, and once they run out of Chakra, typically around 4 turns later, they become unavailable to be Summoned afterwords. The Combat Summoner Method adheres to this restriction because it's based on the Summoning Animal, not the method of Summoning. Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ.

Leg Weights ➟ After several weeks, and months of training, Shayde advanced his skills in Taijutsu with the addition of specialized Leg Weights, which utilize a fairly basic sealing formula to increase their weight. The user slowly trains with these, making them even heavier as they become acclimatized to the new strain, strengthening their legs muscles as they do so. Eventually the user grows accustomed to these conditions, becoming able to move just as freely as they could without before the training. However, once the user removes these weights, they are able to move at much faster speeds than they could before, twice their base running speed, with the increased strength in their leg muscles increasing the damage of kick-based Taijutsu. With these common, but valuable, tools at his disposal, Shayde's skills in Taijutsu have become all the better because of them. (Katai Omori) Leg Weights
Type: Weapon/Supplementary Rank: A Range: Short Chakra: 30 Damage: N/A Description: The Leg Weights used for Special Taijutsu Training with Added Weights are made through the application of a sealing formula to ordinary leg weights. The sealing formula is used to, through the use of Chakra, increase the weight of the leg weights to the desired level. The seal can't be applied to anything other than the leg weights and its use is restricted to its original purpose. One can remove the leg weights but the sealing technique in them stays active indefinitely and can't be released. Additionally, the Leg Weights and their unique seal calibration makes them only usable by the ninja to whom they belong. They can't be sealed or stolen. (Katai Omori: Doroppu) Leg Weights: Drop
Type: Supplementary Rank: A Range: Short Chakra: N/A Damage: N/A (+20 to Kicks, 2x Running Speed) Description: The user stops, bends over to reach his legs and unstraps his leg weights, dropping them to the ground. As a result the user gains a drastic boost to his running speed (doubles) and +20 to all his Strong Fist Kick-related moves. However, this boost in strength and speed is completely nullified when releasing the EIG or when using any kind of movement speed enhancement technique or weight manipulation technique; they don't add up on each other. Sharingan & Uchiha Heritage ➟ Shayde's Sharingan has reached the final stage of it's basic form, 3 Tomoe, which he has achieved for some time, allowing him to passively activate it in battle. The 3 Tomoe Sharingan allows it's user to see the general flow of Chakra around them and differentiate Chakra signatures based on their colour, break through Genjutsu of B-Rank and below, reverse Genjutsu of A-Rank and below back onto the opponent and even cast Genjutsu simply through mutual visual contact. Finally, the clarity and heightened perception the Sharingan grants allows the user to easily perceive the motions and movements of their opponent, such as Hand Seals, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, etc. Combined in tandem with his high intelligence, reasoning and deduction skills, Shayde is a very astute Shinobi, capable of formulating plans for offensive, defensive and counter-attacks on the fly in an instant. (Doujutsu: Sharingan) Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye
Type: Supplementary Rank: A-Rank Range: Short-Long Chakra: 30 (-10 per turn to keep active) Damage: N/A Description: One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the Kekkei Genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single Tomoe (巴) seal appears around the centre pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the Tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of Chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives colour to Chakra, enabling the user to differentiate Chakra's from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see Chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see Chakra, Sharingan users gain access to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through hand seals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary Chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his Chakra to manipulate the enemy's Chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The Chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time. Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has Chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn. Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill. Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique. Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 Chakra consumption per turn penalty. Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of Sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG. Maned Wolf CSC ➟ Being the current owner of the Maned Wolf Summoning Contract, and one that has known them since he was a child, Shayde is very close to all of the Summoning Animals on the Contract. His time spent with them has helped him in a wide variety of ways, including sharpening his senses tremendously, especially his sense of smell, due to Maned Wolves carrying their own near-unbearable stench. Despite taking some getting used to, once he did, it became a valuable tool for Shayde, to endure their scent, while others, such as his opponents, would have to fight without one of their 5 major senses. Law of the Jungle & Wolf in Sheep's Clothing ➟ Another advantage from being the owner of the Summoning Contract, as well a specialist in the field of Ninjutsu, and more specifically the Summoning Jutsu, is that Shayde can permanently maintain a Summoning outside of the natural time-limit granted to Summons. In Shayde's case, he utilizes his "Law of the Jungle" Summoning, allowing him to summon up to 4 Maned Wolves, all with the unique ability to utilize Element-based KG, by absorbing their Chakra. Shayde is always accompanied by 4 M. Wolves, the first,

, while still an infant, has developed skills powerful enough to join the ranks of the Summoning Animals. Due to his overall combat capabilities being relatively lower than his kin, he can usually be found napping, or tucked away in some corner of Shayde's person, such as a pocket, or the hood of his jacket. The final two, the brothers

, act as Shayde's hidden guards, his Wolves in Sheep's Clothing. With their darkened fur, they conceal themselves in the shadows at his feet, lying in wait until an enemy, or some other unknown/ hostile presence enters striking distance of Shayde, at which point, they lunge out in an attempt to either restrict their movements, or kill them outright with a fatal bite or slash.(Tategami Ōkami Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Jakunikukyōshoku) M. Wolf Summoning Technique: Law of the Jungle
Type: Summoning Rank: B-Rank Range: Short Chakra: 20 (5 for Direct Elemental Influence) Damage: N/A Description: The user performs the Summoning Jutsu, either through Hand Seals, their Summoning Tattoo or their Summoning Scroll to summon the Pack. Unlike most Summoning Animals from any Contract, the Pack is not a single animal or a group of pre-designated animals that are Summoned in a traditional sense. Instead, the M. Wolves of the Pack are the embodiment of the sheer strength in numbers of the M. Wolf Summoning Contract itself. The Summoning Jutsu for the Pack itself encompasses an almost unfathomable number of M. Wolves, each with their own distinct appearances, personalities, attire, tools, weaponry, etc, making describing them in any in-depth manner practically impossible, as there are simply too many Summons to describe, however, they generally share similar characteristics of other animals from the Contract. The Packs theme of "ambiguity" is continued when a M. Wolf from this Summon activates their ability, as their bodies undergo a visible change in appearance, for example, the colour of the M. Wolf's fur may change, or mould into a different shape, or even physically embody the element, such as the M. Wolf being wreathed in Fire, or they may release a steady arc of Lightning around their body, etc. The M. Wolves from the Pack don't have a level of skill or proficiency with any form of Jutsu or affinity for a Chakra Nature, instead these M. Wolves evolved with one single ability, which is the ability to adapt to other Elemental Natures. They developed this ability by studying the characteristics of the paper Shinobi use to assess one's Chakra Nature, a.k.a Litmus Paper. Elemental Darwinism: As briefly stated above, the M. Wolves of the Pack have replicated the ability of Litmus Paper, allowing themselves to naturally "adapt" to Chakra Natures. This makes the Summons from the Pack "Jacks of all Trades" in a sense, as they can adapt to just about every Chakra Nature, including the Basic 5 and certain KG Elements (Those that don't include basic Elements in their "creation", meaning KG like the Kaguya's Shikotsumyaku are not applicable). This is achieved through a special form of Chakra "absorption" that the M. Wolves naturally undergo when they come into contact with a Chakra Nature. In other words, it's an involuntary reaction that occurs when one of these Summons comes into Contact with a Chakra Nature, and not the ability to "steal" Chakra, meaning that the Summons have no real control over the Chakra they "absorb". This ability can be used to adapt to Chakra Natures in one of two ways, each with their own advantages and disadvantages to their usage. The first is for the M. Wolf to be directly influenced by the users own Chakra. By simply gathering Elemental Chakra, and channelling/ kneading it into the designated Summon without giving it shape or form, the user directly influences the nature the M. Wolf will adapt to. This method costs 5 Chakra to perform per M. Wolf, but doesn't cost one of the users 3 moves per turn. The second, and more difficult method of the two, is the "absorption" of external Chakra sources, such as the kind provided by an opponent's incoming Jutsu. The M. Wolves of this Summoning can act like "shields" of sorts, taking an incoming Jutsu and using the Chakra that Jutsu is composed of (thus effectively countering/ absorbing the Jutsu) to initiate their ability. This method can only be used on Jutsu B-Rank and below, otherwise the M. Wolf is overpowered, and the Summoning Jutsu is undone. With both of these methods at their disposal, the users control over the Nature the M. Wolves of this Summoning Jutsu adapt to is highly customizable, granting an unprecedented level of control over multiple Elements in battle. Note: Remains on the field for up to 4 turns. Note: The user can Summon a max of 4 M. Wolves via this Jutsu. Note: Due to their Rank, these M. Wolves can only use Jutsu B-Rank and below for the Elemental Nature's they adapt to. Note: If a M. Wolf summoned by this technique doesn't adapt to another Nature, they can perform either basic Ninjutsu up to A-Rank, or Kenjutsu up to B-Rank should they possess an appropriate weapon. Note: Each M. Wolf summoned by this technique can only change their Chakra Nature once per battle. Note: Any M. Wolf summoned by this technique doesn't retain the Chakra Nature they adapt to, and return to normal when their Summoning time runs out. Note: Any M. Wolf summoned by this technique cannot be used to copy Elements or Chakra Nature's that fall outside the canon Narutoverse, such as CE's, CC Jutsu, etc. Note: If a M. Wolf summoned by this technique adapts to an Elemental KG, they lose 1 turn from their max turns left on the field, due to the strain caused by controlling multiple Elements simultaneously. Note: Summons who adapt to a KG Nature cannot use the Basic Elements that KG Nature is composed of as well, only the Nature the M. Wolf adapts to. Note: Requires Maned Wolf Summoning Contract, and biographies that specialize in the M. Wolf CSC can use this Summon one additional time per battle.

. By "hiding" in the users shadow, they completely blend into it, only being exposed when a form of bright light affects the area around the user, such as the kind created by a flash bomb, or a Fire Release Jutsu within close enough proximity to affect the user's shadow. These wolves remain concealed within the user's shadow until the user enters striking distance of the opponent, which is when the wolves take action. With every offensive Taijutsu action, the wolves remain hidden within the shadow of the users attack, and perform their own attacks, either chomping the target with their jaws, or swiping at the opponent with their paws. With their Summoner leading the charge, the wolves attack from the shadows, attempting to ensure their summoner's victory through unforeseen, simultaneous physical attacks. The wolves remain in combat until they are either disbanded by the user, or dispatched by an enemies counter-attack.Note: Can only be used once per battle/ event. Note: Lasts up to 6 turns. Note: Requires M. Wolf CSC, and biographies that specialize in the M. Wolf CSC can apply this Jutsu to their Biography, allowing it to be active from the start of a battle/ event. Having this Jutsu active from the start of a battle/ event counts as it's one usage.

Greed ∞ The Eternal Hunger ➟ Upon losing his arm to the Knight of Tragedy in Kurogakure, Shayde was "kindly" gifted with a replacement in the form of a prosthetic limb via mutation from Kaneki's own cancerous limb, the Kagune of a Claymore. [SUP][

][/SUP] Despite still being in his "infant" stages, "Greed" still heavily influences Shayde's actions and behaviour, inflicting upon him an uncontrollable hunger, akin to the kind Claymore must endure every day, which, if left unsatiated, would no doubt slowly drive the uninitiated Uchiha mad, just like his "brother", Kaneki... Greed has a fluid and malleable structure, able to shift and manipulate his form and alter his biological functions to suit his, or Shayde's, needs, which, in the formers case, is almost always the creation of more mouths, to facilitate the consumption of more "food", to satiate his eternal hunger. Another ability that Greed possesses is the ability to copy and replicate the properties of the matter, exclusively solids, he devours. These make Greed a very versatile symbiotic organism, capable of a wide range of applications, especially in combat, though one Shayde is hesitant to utilize, due to how easily he could find himself slipping into the cannibalistic tendencies that have entraped his friend, Kaneki.(Gurīdo ∞ Eien no Kiga) Greed ∞ The Eternal Hunger
Type: Weapon Rank: Forbidden Range: Short - Long (Depending on Greed's shape) Chakra: N/A - 50 (Devour) 20 (Regeneration) 10 (Shapeshifting) Damage: N/A (40 whilst Assimilated) (10 damage every turn) Description: Greed, also known as "(Kamītā) God Eater", is a weaponized Symbiote, a sentient type of organism that seeks out and bonds with a host organism in order to survive, and thrive. Unlike most symbiotic entities Greed is a "Mutualistic" Symbiote, a type of symbiote that survives through a host organism, while providing the host some manner of benefit with it's presence, unlike others which are typically "Parasitic" Symbiotes, which only bring pain, suffering and/ or death with their presence. As one might expect, Greed has an insatiable appetite, and the unfortunate habit of eating just about anything that comes within range, indiscriminating between friend or foe, trash or treasure, etc. All he knows is his own eternal hunger, and the desire to be free from it. While this is most prevalent personality trait, Greed is also brutal, arrogant, disrespectful, sadistic, deceptive, and much, much more, all thanks to his begrudging dependency on other organisms for his survival. Greed's ravenous hunger goes hand in hand with his ability to analyze, retain and replicate the appearance, texture, properties, etc of any solid material he devours, regardless of whether it is natural, man-made, created via Chakra, etc, similar to the Ninjutsu

. As stated, this ability only works on solids, meaning liquids, gasses, energies, etc cannot be devoured and replicated using this ability, as they lack physical substance for Greed to consume and assimilate. Examples include a wide and varied range from basic earthen materials like dirt and hard earth, to denser materials, like rocks, metals and crystals, and organic materials, such as wood. In the case of materials devoid of Chakra, devouring them costs no Chakra and is a passive action. In the case of materials created via Chakra, the user must expend Chakra equivalent to the Rank of the material Greed wants to devour and this will cost a move. Greed can only replicate the properties from a single material at any given time, in addition to his base state. The ability to assimilate the properties of a material into his form is a passive one, and requires no Chakra from the user to achieve, but is limited to only one change per turn.In his base state Greed possesses an immunity to B-Ranks and below, and requires at least an A-Rank to damage him, and another to destroy him, or one S-Rank, etc. While Greed is injured in his base state, he can quickly regenerate injured/ destroyed parts within that same turn, at the cost of being being unable to assimilate/ replicate the properties of a material. In other words, while Greed is regenerating, he cannot devour materials to analyze their properties, change his shape, or enter his assimilated state, as he is solely focussed on regenerating from the damage he has sustained. In his assimilated state, Greed's durability is increased to Forbidden Rank, and requires at least one S-Rank to damage him, and another to destroy him, or one Forbidden Rank, etc. While Greed is injured in his Assimilated state, he can regenerate injured/ destroyed parts over the course of the next turn, during which time he is still susceptible to a fatal attack. Finally, thanks to the increase in his durability, physical attacks that utilize Greed whilst assimilated also receive a substantial increase, dealing 20 more damage, such as Taijutsu, or Kenjutsu if Greed changes his shape into that of a blade. In addition to his "assimilation" ability, Greed also has complete and total control over the shape and general functions of his form, allowing him to change his forms shape and functions to suit his needs, usually covering the majority of his form into as many mouths as he can. This "Shapeshifting" relies on a mass-conversion system, allowing Greed to mould himself into shapes and forms equivalent to, or less than, the total amount of mass he has consumed. This can allow Greed to shape his form in many ways, moulding himself into the shape of various weapons, like a blade to facilitate the usage of Kenjutsu, or a whip-like appendage to engage in ranged strikes, while his assimilation ability allows Greed to change the general properties and appearance of these shapes into various materials, making his strikes both versatile, and deadly. Through both of these abilities Greed is implanted into users Biography's hands/ arms via Medical Ninjutsu, requiring a Medical Ninja to oversee the merging of the two. This is performed within the NarutoBase Hospital to ensure that Greed's consumption and replication of the user's hand/ arm is as close to the original as possible, and, using their knowledge of the inner workings of the body, ensure functions like the flow of blood, as well as the connection between Greed and the user's Tenketsu, the flow of the user's Chakra into Greed, and other biological functions, such as the connection between nerves, etc, are as functional as possible. This allows both the user and Greed to share their senses, experiences, allows direct mental communication between the two, etc, while also allowing the user to weave seals using Greed as a proxy, and supply Greed with Chakra for his abilities, or for Greed to forcefully drain Chakra from his host. Greed can also devour small portions of the body and with every inch of the user devoured comes excruciating pain, equivalent to the pain inflicted by biting your tongue off. While the user has some leeway in their manipulation of Greed, such as utilizing him to perform hand seals for their Jutsu, Greed is still his own organism, and thus is capable of both independent movement, thought, actions, etc, regardless of input from his host. This means that, should the host may be incapacitated, or unable to act in some manner, it doesn't necessarily apply to Greed. For example, in the case of a Genjutsu directed at the host, although they and Greed share the same Chakra flow, because Greed has his own mind, senses, etc, he would be unaffected unless the Genjutsu affects multiple targets. Note: The acquisition of unique or specific materials must be performed in an Official Fight where Greed consumes the specified material, and the user emerges victorious, or escapes the battle. Additionally, the user must compile a list of all materials Greed has devoured, with the links to the appropriate battles, within their Custom Jutsu thread. Note: Can only be used by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ.

Tools & Weaponry ➟ Shayde carries a wide assortment of tools in the two pouches located on his right thigh and and left side of his back. These include the basic tools, like Kunai, Shuriken, Senbon, Makibishi, Ninja Wire, etc and more advanced tools, like Explosive Tags, Smoke Bombs, Flash Bombs, etc. In addition to this standard, but varied, assortment of tools, Shayde also carries the Sensei-centric Litmus Paper for the Chakra Affinity Test, and his own amusement. Additionally, Shayde also carries a particularly large scroll which is slung over his shoulder and rests at the base of his back, and contains the Summoning Formulas for his Summoning Animal Contracts, kept as a last resort or substitute for his Summoning Tattoo's, in case he's ever in the scenario where the regular Summoning method is impossible. He also carries around a set of smaller, more varied scrolls, all of which are utilized in the usage of specific Jutsu. One example is a series of scrolls which all contain prepared topographical information for an Earth Release Jutsu. In regards to weaponry, due to his connections from his time as Konohagakure's War General, turned First Officer, Shayde learned a very powerful and useful Jutsu known as "(Kingusugureibu ♕ Busōko) Kingsglaive ♔ Armiger Arsenal". It allows him to draw from a virtually infinite store of weapons, all of varying types, styles, origins, etc. Upon learning it, Shayde added his own weapons into this arsenal, removing the burden of carrying them around himself, and is able to summon them with a simple motions, and the blood cost common among Summoning Jutsu.
