Watching and listening as intently as he had for all of the training session, Trunks hopes to end strongly with this forgotten technique. He watches his teacher preform the technique, detailing all of the mechanics and limitations of the white hot staff end. Then his teacher transfers all of the chakra from the technique into a single ring, a trademark motion for this fighting style, giving it all of the power of the technique before firing it off, destroying a tree.
As he finishes, Trunks grips his own Shakujo and takes a few steps away from his teacher. I'm confident that I'm more than capable, master. Our training has both made me strong and confident weilding this staff, and manipulating these rings, for which, I wholeheartedly thank you. Trunks says as he begins to channel his chakra into the staff. Being sure to hold the staff at its butt end, Trunks causes the rings to begin spinning rapidly. The clank of the metal hitting metal quickly turns into a squealing sound as the rings begin to glow their first shades of red. Soon, the friction and the heat keep rising to make the rings take on another color, a very brightly glowing white. Taking this moment to swing the staff about, Trunks familiarizes himself with how the displaced air would effect the swing of his Kenjutsu moves. After he is fairly familiar, he turns toward what appears to be the last available tree in the training area, and points his staff. Pooling all of the chakra into one ring, Trunks fires it toward the tree with great force and speed. Racing toward the tree like an arrow, the ring appears to be a blur going across the grounds. Upon impact, the section of the tree hit would appear to explode into chunks of wood and splinters, most smoldering or scorched from the heat. Allowing the ring to return, Trunks then turns to his teacher to talk through the technique.
Something that I noticed while swinging the staff, if I was to allow this to get too close to me as I'm using it, I would suffer the same effects as my opponent. So keeping that in mind, this is truly a warriors technique. Using this in a Kenjutsu fight would totally devistate and overpower most opponents due to the close proximity that they would have to be in order to sword fight. At that range, they are well within the grasp of the heat and deafening ring, giving me a near immediate advantage, which leads me to the next part of this technique. Most opponents would try to escape the range of the staff to avoid these problems, but by then, they would be entirely too close to properly deal with the 3 meter heat source coming toward them at the speed of an arrow. This would be an ideal scenario of course, but I believe this to be the greatest strength of this technique.
