Is he really asking me if i was sure i would want to learn the staff arts? Haha! Mystogan stared with excitement. "Uh i see... just to clarify, the staffs can use any elemental affinity, as in earth/water/lightning/wind/fire? Or is it depending on the staff you choose?" Mystogan asked, completely confused.

Hmm, i wonder if i'd be able to do something like that in the future...

Staffs each have their own personal affinity towards a certain element, and from using a staff enough, the user bonds with it and learns its affinity. You may call it crazy, but a true weapon master has a connection with their weapon. In fact, your own elemental affinities may influence the elemental affinity of your most-used weapon, in this case, your favorite staff. Now, just because it has an affinity towards one element, a staff may have any elemental chakra flown through it for techniques, its affinity is simply a chakra your weapon "likes".
Taking out all five of his staffs, Mystogan planted them all in the ground theatrically, releasing a thin mist of purple Keigoku from a portal he released below himself within the ground, the mist's only purpose to be dramatic.

And sometimes, a staff may have two affinities, or has its affinities changed when you use it in certain ways. It all depends on the characteristics of your weapon. For example, my ringed staff has an affinity to Sound Release, but since I cannot utilize Ototon, I use it's somewhat-weaker affinity to Water Release. Actually, it's not much of an "affinity", as an element it prefers over the other four. Then my fan-headed staff is affinitive to Wind Release, as obviously shown by the fan atop it. My skull-headed staff has a Fire Release affinity, and my eye-topped staff is related to the Earth Release. Finally, my trident-headed staff has an affinity towards the Lightning Release.
After describing his staffs from left to right, or right to left from the impostor's perspective, Mystogan paused for a second.
However, when used all together, my staffs gain a shared affinity to Genjutsu techniques. They work together to become useful in a completely new way to me. Do you understand what I'm saying; as a staff user, a sword may simply be a steel tool, but to a swordsman a sword is a partner, a friend they rely on to fight alongside. As staff users, our staffs are partners; precious friends whom we fight with. Do you understand?
Mystogan allowed his portal to close, ending the Keigoku mist, and as such making himself safe to approach, should the man feel comfortable coming close to a man with five staffs, each with their own elemental affinity, sitting just before him.

OOC: Staffs having true affinities is simply for RP; it's not legitimate, nor does it grant special abilities in the RP system. But my description of my own staffs' elemental affinities are my staffs' actual affinities, as defined by me. And yes, I gave a staff an elemental affinity of an element I don't have; makes things interesting and more realistic.

Mystogan opened his eyes, amazed at what he had just witnessed. "Hm, i see! Will i ever be as experienced and as strong as you after this training?"Mystogan asked, recalling the impostor's display of techniques with the staff a few minutes ago. Mystogan stood up and asked "The fan-headed shaped staff... Can i use it?" Mystogan asked enthusiastically.

As the imposter asked if he would ever be as strong as Mystogan, Mystogan could only smile, his eyes squinting under his masks as the only indication that his facial expression had changed.
Don't get your hopes up.
One, simple sentence was all he needed to make himself feel better by making another feel worse. Then, Mystogan stood in silence until the imposter asked to use one of his staffs. Picking up the staff in question, Mystogan held it by the neck and extended the main shaft towards the imposter.
Go ahead and give it a try...
As he held it out, Mystogan channeled wind chakra through his staff, making the entire round shaft as sharp as a sword, no matter how it was grabbed, cutting everything which came into contact with any part of the shaft, excluding the source of chakra (Mystogan's hand).
(Futon: Kenshi no Sutaffu) - Wind Release: Swordsman's Staff
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: A very simply, yet tricky technique, the user begins by channeling their futon chakra through a staff. The futon chakra within the staff causes the round body to gain a sharp, cutting quality, allowing the rod-like staff to cut like a sword regardless of which point makes contact with an object. The futon chakra causes the staff, regardless of what material it's made of, to cut with the same power as a steel sword, and allows the user to cut through up to A-rank raiton techniques.

Mystogan looked towards the impostors hand that held the staff. Does he have a trick up his sleeve? Earlier today, he tried killing me, then he makes me feel bad about myself... and now he's willing to let me use the staff?! There must be a catch! Mystogan thought to himself, suspicious of the sudden mood changes. Mystogan soon made up his mind and decided to take the staff. As he was close to touching the edge (top) of the staff, a sudden surge of chakra appeared. The chakra began shaping into a very sharp and thin blade of a sword coming from the staff. Even though Sasuke was just inches from it, he can already feel the cutting properties. Hm, it's probably winds since i don't feel any zaps. Interesting staff... I knew there was a catch! Mystogan stared at it, analyzed it, and then asked "How strong is this exactly? Is it able to break through defenses made of earth? Or only lightning techniques due to the elemental weaknesses? And also, if you don't mind, can you maybe sort of... uh, take off the bladed wind chakra so i could try it out myself?" Mystogan asked in a mellow tone, hoping not to aggravate the impostor because he obviously had a dangerous weapon in his hand.

It can cut through all techniques B-rank and below, A-rank and below Raiton and C-rank and below Katon. And of course I won't let up; the point of using this technique is so that you wouldn't touch my staffs. Now, I suppose we'll start with this, so take one of your own staffs and channel your fuuton chakra through the main body of the staff. Your chakra will create a powerful cutting ability within the round body of the staff, making it a surprise weapon, turning something which looks like a blunt attack into a sharp cut.
Putting his staff back in the ground, Mystogan awaited for the imposter to follow his instructions.

Mystogan looked towards the impostor. Hm, better impress him, he will probably kill me if i dont. U_U Mystogan takes out the first staff he reached and placed it firmly on the ground. He gathered his wind-based chakra on his body and channeled it to his hands and fingertips, directing it towards the staff. Once it is in his fingertips, he releases the wind chakra in his hands and cloaks the main body of the staff. He uses nature manipulation to change the nature of his chakra to transform it into actual winds, making the winds as sharp as it can be but having the sharpness face outwards, away from the staff. Mystogan uses more of his chakra to keep the wind in place with shape manipulation, he shapes the wind to cloak around the staff, keeping it together. "Does that look alright?!" Mystogan asked while pointing the bladed staff towards the impostor's head, pointing on the staff with his right hand.

After the stranger asked if the staff was alright, Mystogan swung his sharp staff and made contact with the other man's staff. The expected reaction did not occur. Mystogan's sharp staff cut into some sort of wind barrier before it could hit the staff itself. This was not good. Taking a step back, Mystogan glared towards the kid who was trying to learn his technique.
If you want to coat your staff, there are plenty of techniques to do that which I don't have to teach you. This technique is different; the wind chakra becomes one with the staff, granting it sharp properties. Now do it again, child, or give up on the way of the staff.

Mystogan sighs, "Becoming "one" with the staff, does that mean that the wind chakra shapes the staff to be sharper, or does i shape my slashing and sharp wind chakra around the body of the staff to make my staff's cutting ability even stronger?" I guess the only way to find out is to try for myself... Mystogan takes the staff once again and channels his wind-based chakra onto it. He uses nature transformation and focuses on the nature of winds, the slicing properties and the sharpness of it. He uses those description into his chakra, using nature transformation to transform his chakra into winds. Afterwards, Mystogan attatched the slicing winds into the main body of the staff, shaping it so that it would be like an extension and give the staff more cutting capabilities. The wind itself is shaped around the staff and is very sharp.

Focusing his chakra into his own fan-headed staff, Mystogan held out his round, wooden staff's handle for his student to see.
Look. There are no air currents flowing around my staff. The air has not changed. My staff is now fused with chakra, though you would never know if you were not a sensory-type. My round staff now defies normal physics and is sharp; watch.
Turning to a tree, Mystogan swung his staff towards it and left a gash in the bark. He then adjusted his staff several times to prove there was no invisible blade made of wind surrounding the shaft.
This round staff is sharp because sharp chakra flows through it. Now, after you perform the technique, you may think on the applications of this, and how it may be both good and bad. Any questions you have, this is the time. I will also as you one question for you to answer when you are finished; fire or earth?

Okay, i will be RPing as my normal Sasuke bio xD My staff CW is in my back, its pretty weak atm but y'know, i'll update it once i finish earth training.

Sasuke summarized what he just learned, making sure to know everything about the technique so that he would not have to clarify anything later on. "So, essentialy, the wind chakra is built up from the inside without being released or show any signs in the outside? The wind chakra mergers with the staff from the inside to strengthen the staff, like a sword? Sasuke asked politely. "And as for your second question, I am an Uchiha so of course, Fire." Sasuke waited for his sensei's reply, planning on a surprise. ;)

*another new bio, Zeref ._.* wow no wallies? z.z

With the new information regarding the technique, Zeref gathers wind chakra and channels it into his staff. It is channeled through the insides and he performs nature transformation to change the nature of his chakra into the slicing properties of wind. Then, Zeref manipulates it so that it sticks to the walls of the insides of the staff, sort of merging it and applying the slicing and sharp properties of wind and adding it into the staff. Zeref proceeds by slicing through a tree using the staff.

I highly doubt you could cut cleanly through a tree in one shot with that... But we've been on this technique for too long.

Next jutsu:
(Katon: Doragon E no Eikyล) - Fire Release: Dragon Impact
Type: Attack
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will begin by spinning his staff while focusing katon chakra into it. When the user stops spinning his staff, a small flame will be present on the top of his staff (if the staff is double-ended, there may be a flame on both ends). Now, when the staff comes into contact with another object, an explosive burst of B-rank flame will erupt from the point of impact, increasing the damage of a normal blunt staff hit.

Describe your performance of it, how you would use it in battle, and any advantages and disadvantages it could possess.

I stand up straight with my staff placed on my left hand. I simply begin spinning it clockwise, slowly at first until it transitions into a fan-like staff. As i do this, i gather fire chakra into it, where the tip of the staff belonged. With a single stomp, i would ignite this flame, creating a small flame to materialize on the top of the staff. Swinging my staff from left to right, i aim at any solid object capable of sustaining a fairly strong attack. With a giant boulder ahead, i would swing it towards the boulder, similar to a bat and a baseball, and release fire chakra from the point of impact. This would be released in an explosive burst of fire, causing the boulder to slowly break down into smaller pieces.

I would use this technique to push things out of the way, say for example a boulder is coming towards me, i would use it to defend primarily and yeah. I can use it in close combat, making it a lethal weapon despite what would first appear to be a normal staff. It is good for surprise attack, because you wouldn't really think that a burst of flame would be released from anywhere else but where the top of the staff is. I can also lunge my staff like a spear, so even if my opponent decides to defend with a technique close to them, it would explode and possibly cause injuries to my target.

Advantages:
- Technique is sort of deceptive, a small fire coming from the top when in reality, it would be capable of releasing explosive flames from any side of the staff.
- Can be used freeformly, it's not overly specific.

Disadvantages:
- Only thing i can think of is how it would disable you from performing any other techniques other than fire techniques for that time.
