Mystogan stepped forwards into the field, his five staffs on his back.
Hello. Do you happen to have any staffs with you? You are the man who wants to be a master of Staff Arts, aren't you?

Mystogan arrives. "Hm, i see. You must be an illusion!" Mystogan looks at his back, noticing that he has yet to obtain a staff. "If you wait a day or two, a few staffs will magically appear once i have edited my bio." He looks towards your god-like sword, and knew that learning the staff arts would be an honor.

Sighing, Mystogan bent down to the ground and picked up a rock. Then he focused his doton chakra through it and turned the rock into a long stone staff. He then threw the staff like a javelin towards the man who had disguised himself, the disguise mimicking his own, without warning.
Catch.
Mystogan then withdrew his trident-headed staff and held it in front of himself, the butt planted in the ground. He stared across at the man, and waited for a reaction; hopefully he would do something in response to the staff nearly going through his head.

Mystogan catches the staff, but was confused as to what he was suppose to do. "He you!! You couldve killed me! How dare you!" He screamed towards the fake, enraged.

The stranger yelled, but didn't move.
You have no blood-lust; no means of accessing hatred, or no means of using it. My students have a more honed fighting nature than this.
Turning around, Mystogan sent earth chakra through the ground to feel what was happening around him as he began to walk away, carrying his trident-headed staff in his right hand, leaving his back open to the stranger.

Is this guy an idiot? Turning his back to a complete stranger.." Mystogan thinks to himself as he prepares for a stealthy attack to not aim to kill his target, but to damage him enough that he would get revenge for the rude staff throw. Mystogan injects his chakra in the man's chakra system, giving him the ability to place the man under an illusion; an illusion in which snakes will appear out of no where to constrict him and wrap around his movements. After doing so, he aims at the man's spine and inhales air, and exhales a large, large amount of water towards the target, pushing him to the ground and causing spinal problems.

"Hah! That's what you get!"

( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

(Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Bullet Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: The user inhales and molds a great amount of chakra into their chest, exhaling a very large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent towards their intended target. The stream of water is so powerful and concentrated it can rip through most obstacles in its path. The stream itself contains so much concentrated water that it can flood medium to large sized depressions of the battle field in relatively short amounts of time.

As he walked, Mystogan felt a slight pressure on his chakra system, which was quickly abated. This kid had attempted genjutsu. On HIM! This was unacceptable.
As he felt the pressure, Mystogan stopped walking, resting his foot on the ground mid-stride. Then there was a loud noise from behind, like that of rushing water. Waiting for less than a second, Mystogan turned around and grabbed the hidden hilt of his sword on the trident staff with his left hand, drawing the blade and holding it out for the water to pass over. As Mystogan held out his blade, he channeled doton chakra through it, and from the moment the water touched the blade Mystogan decreased the density of the water. By the time the bullet hit him, it was no more dense, and therefore no more powerful, than a splash from a bucket of water (a large bucket, but not enough to hurt me). After the water had passed over, Mystogan re-sheathed his blade in his staff.

Why do you come at me so? You ask me to teach you how to use a staff, and when you come empty-handed, I provide you with the weapon you wish to learn with. I provoke you into attacking, as I had wanted you to do, and you use pathetic techniques one might use when they're scared; you ask me to teach you how to use staffs, yet you don't even try to show me that you have any knowledge over them at all. Instead, you fight from a distance instead of with your staff. Simply pathetic.
This time, Mystogan did not move away. He waited for a response. Maybe this kid was beyond hope. Or maybe he could still be used...
(Doton: Chลkeijลซgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage poitns: N/A (up to -40 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically decreases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. The technique can decrease the weight of the target to virtually zero but the bigger the target, the more time is needed.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

"Well, if you are so insisted in seeing my skills with a staff, I will grant you that wish. But be warned, my skills are not as good as I wish it to be, hence why I ask you for training in this specific technique. If you really do insist, I won't hold back! Mystogan says as a devious smirk began to form in his mouth. He discards the staff you made for him, knowing that staff was far too weak to cause any damage. He takes out one of the five staffs he had in his back, this one was like a large pitchfork with three dangerously long edges. Mystogan runs ay full speed, channeling chakra in his feet to increase the speed in which he ran. After reaching a few feet from you, he takes a shot and aims towards your stomach, knowing full well that this simple attack could be avoided easily.

a little freeform o_<

I though you had no staffs. O__O That's the whole point I threw the rock one at you.

As the man ran towards Mystogan, he began to spin his trident-headed staff, focusing his chakra through it. Then he gripped the staff tight, stopping the rotation, and held his now-flaming staff before him at arms length. The flames appeared at the butt of the staff, and at all three points. As the man started to jab at him, Mystogan brought down his staff like a fork to catch this man's identical staff in the middle of the handle with the crotch of two of the staff's prongs. As the flaming staff made contact, a small explosion of flame erupted from the staff and charred the imposter's, causing the end of his staff to break off of itself due to sheer weight on the opposite side of the damage.
So your usage of staffs is limited to straight-forward, transparent moves, is it? Then before we begin, I am required to do this...
Mystogan stared straight into the man's eyes, and imagined a knife going through his head. For that brief moment, Mystogan pictured him as Jellal, as the man who broke his first staff, as the man who killed his friend. In that brief moment, Mystogan wanted only to kill the imposter, and he made sure that his Killing Intent would be known. This man needed to experience fear, and needed to be aware that Mystogan was, without a doubt, more powerful than he. Only when terrified, placed against all odds, and given no way out, can a person truly understand their full power, and if this man was to learn from Mystogan, he needed this experience.
After a few seconds, Mystogan released his Killing Intent, relaxing his grip on his staff, which had tightened to stop his body from actually harming the child.

Speak to me once you have recovered and are ready to learn.
Without any other words, Mystogan turned his back and walked away, sitting in a meditative stance a short distance from the man.
(Katon: Doragon E no Eikyล) - Fire Release: Dragon Impact
Type: Attack
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will begin by spinning his staff while focusing katon chakra into it. When the user stops spinning his staff, a small flame will be present on the top of his staff (if the staff is double-ended, there may be a flame on both ends). Now, when the staff comes into contact with another object, an explosive burst of B-rank flame will erupt from the point of impact, increasing the damage of a normal blunt staff hit.
Note: ~Can only be taught by Sharingdork
~Lasts for 3 turns or until deactivation
~Must wait one turn after deactivation before activating again

(Sakki) - Killing Intent
Rank: D - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. To effectively be used, the user needs to focus on his target and concentrate on the killing intent towards it, meaning that one must see the target and be focused on it. The strength of the Killing Intent is dependent on many factors and go through several levels. If a difference in rank smaller than 2 ranks exist, the enemy will feel only the pressure and the ominous presence of their dark intentions. Its enough to lose your grasp on a weapon or stay clinched to it (depending on the situation) or even to hesitate in an attack, stumble or mess up a handseal, all depending on the situation and proximity. The effect is small and normally not that significant but can be effectively used to pressure enemies into making a mistake. If a difference of 2 ranks or more exist, the enemy will be frozen, almost unable to move as the overwhelming killing intent dominates their own conscious and riddles them with nightmarish versions of death. The paralyzation gradually weakens as time passes and can only be maintained while the user is focused on the target. The further away the target, the weaker it is and it can only fully paralyze a target within short range. Similarly, the more targets one focuses on, the weaker the effect is in each one (divinding the effects equally between the number of targets). Lastly, the stronger the user is in relation to the target, the stronger the effect will be. The target can counter Killing Intent directed at it through pain, "mind cleansing" techniques or their own Killing Intent.
Note: Intensity of technique depends on the rank of the user, distance to target and number of targets one is focusing on
Note: Can only be used once
Note: Lasts only while the user is focusing on it and while focusing on it the user can't mold chakra

Mystogan continued to run, despite seeing the flaming staff as a warning that things wouldn't go as well as he would like. He begins molding water chakra in his stomach, preparing for a fire attack that was hinted by the fire balls. He continued on to stab the imposter, only to see a trident with three ball of flames about to crush his very own staff. He quickly positioned his staff to angle it slightly higher, as if he was aiming at the ground. This was so the trident wouldn't be stuck on the ground with the three-bladed staff of the imposter. Once the imposter's staff hit the ground, he exhaled a large stream of water towards the staff underneath to cool down the fire, so the blast would not take affect. He continued on, so that the sheer force and power of the stream of water would break through the man's staff. After the stream of water hand pierced through the staff, Mystogan took his own staff that he angled higher and faced it towards mystogan's neck, as if he was threatening him. "Teach me your ways, i know i'm ready!"

As the man moved to raise his staff, Mystogan continued with his Killing Intent, paralyzing him.
Once again, you cower away from attacking with a staff. Your fear leads to moving onto a defensive fighting style, attacking from a distance rather than joining the fray. Those who fight from a distance fear for their lives, and so they do everything to preserve them. Before you can become a master of the staff, you must be able to conquer this weakness of yours; this fear within yourself. Once the fear is gone, you are ready...
Mystogan then placed his broken staff on his back and strode past the man, paralyzed in fear.
And, as an additional portion to training, I expect you to compensate for my broken staff.

Mystogan looks at the other mystogan's broken staff. That, that's what he was afraid of. To have his staff completely obliterated, all because he has yet to master the way to use the staff. He thought to himself "isn't this why I searched for this man for months and months, so I can utilize my weapon in a skillful way?" Yes, that was it. He realized if he coulsnt get this man to cooperate, any hopes of using his five mystical weapons would be a waste. He walks over to the man and says "I'm ready" he then takes out a pack of duct tape and tapes your staff together

After the staff was repaired by tape, Mystogan thrust the butt into the ground and broke off the taped end. Then he began to unravel the stuck-on tape from his staff.
Your compensation comes during our training; I can fix the staff, properly, on my own.
Mystogan then placed his trident-headed staff on his back and removed his ringed staff to lean against as he spoke.
Now, there are a lot of meelee weapons you can be choosing from to fight with; swords, spears, nunchaku, and many more. Tell me why you chose staffs.

"Good thing this guy calmed down! Well, if i had to choose any weapon, i would have to go with staff because for one thing, it makes you look pretty superior and knowledgeable of what you are doing. Staffs are usually old weapons, which symbolizes the "wiseness" of one person. Furthermore, Staffs can be used for offensive and defensive purposes and it can be very general, meaning that you can apply your own twist and things to staffs. (Trying to make my own staff CW xD) They vary in size and shape which is pretty cool, and the different combinations or abilities you can try to put on it would be pretty awesome. Oh, and staff has good offensive uses and it is not all offensive, unlike swords and such. You can use staff to be more freeform and flowing then those restricted weapons." Mystogan said, having a hard elaborating and thinking of more reasons.

(sorry, its like 11 here and i'm suppose to be asleep >_>)

... Fair enough. Now, please tell me, what elemental affinity do you think a staff may have, and then what elemental affinities you yourself have.

Mystogan thinks for a minute, then responds, "My elemental specialty is water, however I do plan on adding wind once I have mastered it. And about the staff, I am not completely sure, but I am guessing that you can add any elemental affinities on the staff depending on the type of chakra you decide to channel in the staff."

What a safe, generic answer. How boring.
Mystogan quickly rotated his ringed staff, the curved top hitting the imposter's head with a satisfying "clunk".
"Mokuton" also would have been incredibly boring. Yes, a staff may have any elemental chakra flown through it, but what is the object itself's affinity? What type of chakra is it drawn towards? What does it work best with? Get creative, kid; fighting is all about creativity, though when using great amounts of power one can forget...

"This man... he's so hard to please." Mystogan thought to himself as he listened to the impostors questions. "Ouch, what'd you do that for?!" Mystogan said in a mellow attitude, knowing that even though he had his own staff to attack with, he still did not know how to use it properly. Mystogan said, unsure of himself, "Well... uhm, i'm guessing that it (staffs) have a liking for the earth element because it is more ... more like wood and the staffs are made of wood... And maybe water, because earth and water combined is made of wood... Let's see, i don't think it would be fire since fire can burn the wood, raiton can pierce through the wood and wind... not too sure."

Earth, you say?
Holding the staff in the crook of his arm, Mystogan began to focus earth chakra into his staff and the air around him, drawing in dust particles and hardening them into a long extension of his staff. As his staff expanded, it pushed the imposter away from Mystogan and into mid-range.
Yes, some staffs have an affinity to earth. However, you only said water because of Mokuton, the exact element I said earlier was a boring answer. As for fire...
Letting the earth fall off of his staff, Mystogan spun it around a few times and then gripped it tight, stopping the staff's movement to reveal flames on the tip of the curve, and on the butt of the staff.
You were saying about fire not being a good affinity?
Mystogan thrust the butt of his staff into the ground and a small explosion of flame left a clear mark on the ground where he hit. Then the small flames faded as Mystogan held his staff with both hands, the curved end facing him and the butt towards the imposter.
And wind.
Mystogan then threw up his trident-headed staff and cut clean through the splintered end with his ringed staff's butt, the wind chakra causing a clean, sharp cut.
These are just a few examples of what a staff is capable of with elemental chakra. Now, each individual staff has its own individual affinity; it's like a person in this regard. Now, I just made my staff angry because this one's affinity is water, and I've used almost everything but.
Mystogan began to chuckle a bit as he placed the staff on his back.
But really, any creative answer would have been a good one. Your skills with your mind appear to be lacking. You need to be able to think on the fly, and use moves that can't be anticipated. Are you sure that you're actually ready to begin?

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A
