sharingan question

ok so i was under the impression that anyone that got to a certain level in with their sharingan automatically gets to use amaterasu just like susanoo. Am I wrong to think that? or only certain people get to use that ability?

Only an uchiha clan member possessing Mangekyo sharingan has ability to use ameterasu and susano,and only the member shown are itachi ,sasuke and Madara.

Madara could use Susano but he hasn't revealed about Ametarsu .

He can use susanoo, as you only need to possess MS in both eyes to use Susanoo, however Amaterasu is Itachis Jutsu, just like KA is shisuis jutsu, Sasuke only has Amaterasu because Itachi gave it to him.

EDIT: Anyway to answer your original question, every MS has different abilities. Sometimes they are the same but it seems like that has to do with family, we aren't sure yet.

So Shisui did not and never could have Susanoo or Amaterasu.

You don't even know that Itachi couldn't control it. All he has ever used it to do is attack Sasuke, who he didn't even want to hit, and also burn Nagato, which he did hit. When would he have needed to coat Susanoo in Amaterasu or anything like that?

By the way Sasuke used Tsukuyomi on Danzo.

And with unlocking MS he got Enton release which is his other MS ability....

You are saying that everyone that unlocks MS gets Susanoo. How ridiculous does that sound?

Because everyone who unlocks MS unlocks it in both eyes. Except for Kakashi because he only took on eye from Obito. Danzo didn't unlock MS, it was already unlocked for him.
