It allows them to predict based of subtle movement.

Besides Tobirama simply being faster than Izuna,

-Itachi did see the rigged suriken, but due to his illness couldn't avoid it, as stated by BZ.

-Madara was out of chakra, and actually planned to lose to go into hiding, activate his Rinnegan, and plot for the future.

-Sasuke was paralyzed by fear, or doubt, or whatever other plot-based restriction, as there was no reason other than than that that Sasuke could not defend himself accordingly, as Madara even stated he gave Sasuke plenty of chances.

-Obito was not only outsped by Minato, but conveniently forgot how FTG works, and was already forced by plot to gloat while warping Minato slowly the first time, instead of warping him at full speed.

1-he couldnt see it cause of smoke bomb, and prob didnt noticed he was marked.
2- He did saw it but late, and since cause of illness he couldnt dodge it.
3-Cause he didnt have sharingan on?
4-Cause he got pulled by limbo.
