Has anyone noticed that while the Byakugan and Rinnegan are always visible and able to be seen on the person's eyes, the Sharingan is the only one that doesn't have to be visible. Like Sasuke can just have his normal eyes whenever but if you have one of the other Dojutsus you always have your dojutsu visible. Why is that?

Nagato's Rinnengan was only always activate because they weren't his eyes, so he couldn't revert at will.

The Rinnegan is clearly activated just like the Sharingan.

Well it was stated that not everyone in the Uchiha clan awakens the sharingan. That could be why.

This. And the byakugan is activated through the constricting of blood vessels around the eyes. It doesn't change the eye itself, but it's still a visible change.

Kakashi and that guy at Kage meeting that had Byakugan eye are good examples that if you aren't a Hyuuga or an Uchiha, you cannot deactivate the eye.

Other than that, they do turn them ''on and off''. Nagatos Rinnegan was Madaras to begin with, therefor implanted eyes and therefor unable to deactivate them. Him being an Uzumaki gave him the chakras he needed to upkeep the eyes 24/7 without covering them.

As for Byakugan I couldnt tell you since we lack very much info on them. Sharingan however can be activated and deactivated at will by their ORIGINAL OWNER. Transplanted eyes are permanantly active.
