no doubt rinnegan is extremely strong probably unmatchable but the only thing that is better than it is sharingan.sharingan has ultimate ninjutsu,ultimate genjutsu,ultimate eye jutsu(izanagi,izanami).neutrally when u see it is the sharingan that is the ultimate dojutsu.rinnegan stands no chance sharingans true power.the becomes extremely clear when u consider kotoamatsukami.there is no way rinnegan can counter kotoamatsukami,izanagi and izanami.

But you have to remember the rinnegan is originally meant for people who have obtained EMS and is the next step so someone who has the rinnegan is meant to have both sharingan and rinnegan abilities.

So that should automatically mean someone with the Rinnegan > Someone with the sharingan because they are meant to have sharingan and rinnegan techs.

Either way I think just the rinnegan abilities > Sharingan

being evolved from sharingan doesnt mean rinnegan is superior to sharingan.dont forget the power to bring to imagination into reality is izanagi.rinnegan is vulnerable to genjusu and sharingan has the ultimate genjutsu how can rinnegan escape from kotoamatsukami,izanami seals destiny what can rinnegan do when with little effort and extermely fastly u are under control of sharingan user.well rikudo had to fight ten tails but if sharingan would been there jubi would have been tamed in no time.

if izanami is worthless then edo tensei would not have been defeated.tell me how rinnegan would have defeated edo tensei without
killing kabuto.it was sharingan that let itachi break through edo and nagato rinnegan user remained as being used by kabuto.rinnegan abilities can never let u out of edo tensei.

who says izanami doesnt work on everyone.if izanagi is not a battle move danzo,obito and uchiha's were fool to use it in battles where they had to win.and ka can render an eye useless for 10 years but time period can be shortened but victory is gauranteed for the user.

Sharingan abilities are apart of the rinnegans. Izanagi and Izanami can be used with rinnegans too, Nagato was incapable of using them because he lacked Uchiha blood.

Or we say that the Rinnegan is just another upgrade of the Sharinan. by comparing both Dojutsus separate, it is debatable which one is stronger for specially fight. The strongest attack of the Rinnegan blew up a village for the price that your lifespan gets shortened and you get a huge cooldown where you can't use this technique again. Chibaku Tensei isn't suitable for spamming it, too. If we take a look at the perfect Susanoo, which destroys a meteorite and a distant mountain range with only one swing of its sword, we can imagine its destructive power if it would go on rampage.

I readed somewhere that susanoo is materialized chakra of the user, Preta path may adsorb it. Izanagi and Izanami are both dangerous as it cost a eye and Izanami wont work to people who accept their actions and are not arrogant. Only 2 abilities who would work against the 6 path would be KA and Tsukuyomi that are both single target most powerful jutsus, depend how you use those two genjutsus will decide the match if the two dojustsus were fighting each other.
