Sharingan isn't OP its hard work!!!!!!!!

First of all i hate how alot of people say sharingan is OP but so are alot of other thing eg (Jinchuriki's, rinnegan user, FTG,) Some uchicha didn't even reach the 3rd tomoi or worst didn't have the sharingan in general. Even with the 3 tomoi uchicha were beatable and it also took skill to attain 3 tomoi in the first place.

Also its not like all Uchicha have MS/EMS only a hand full like.
Itachi,Sasuke,Madara,Izuna but these were all attained through battle experince and hard work for example. (I won't include shisui because I dont have enough info on him for me to decide). Any way lets get started

Countless battles through the 2nd shinobi war which was said to be more worser than the 3rd. Enough said

*Sasuke
2 year time skip of presumably training with a sannin, he would be doing anything else because he really f*kn hated itachi at the time. Itachi giving sasuke his powers at his death is BS he would eventually gained his MS after tobi told him the truth. Which the only way to attain MS is to kill your best friend or/which is literally to feel guilt in general.

*Itachi
Anbu squad leader at 13, through anbu he is bound to have a s*itload of A to S rank missions its ANBU ffs who are under direct order from danzo. A man who stops at nothing no matter how bad the task to keep his position and power. So the ANBU deal with the worst missions, ones you dont even speak of . So itachi was bound to have alot of experience through being an ANBU

So out of a clan of 100's maybe even 1000's only a hand full have earned their powers. Which is exactly like becoming bijuu host. It takes hard work to gain power. Their powers wern't just given to them. Its like saying someones who's rich and wealthly but works hard labour is lazy and dosen't deserve it

So what do you think OP OR is it just the result of hard work.

Gaining MS is not neccesarily killing your best friend. Its feeling guilt in genral . How do you explain Madara or Izuna gaining theirs. They were alive and participated in the 2nd shinobi war. They would have killed countless ninja's which could have been the way they unlocked their MS. It wasn't stated that they killed their best friend. The only time was when madara took izuna's eyes to gain EMS.

The mastering of 3 tomoe is hard work.
After that, it's mostly handed out powers given by betraying those close to you.
Of course it requires some "hard mental work" but at that extent, it becomes sole hunger for power.

I would say that maybe the original and normal Mangekyou Sharingan aren't entirely overpowered; that being said, I think once you reach the point of EMS, the ability to spam MS techniques with no repercussions becomes a pretty cheap tactic. That and we've now learned from Madara that the EMS somehow turns into the Rinnegan...forgive me, but I think the EMS is entirely OP.

Small little correction, both Izuna and Madara were dead during the Second great war, they fought before the founding of Konoha and before the First Great War. Izuna died some short time after Madara took his eyes and madara died some time after his fight with Hashirama, he probably lived into the second war if he knew Nagato but he didn't fight in it.


Your arguments show that the shinobi who have the kekkei genkai worked hard....kinda sorta after the fact they got their stuff.

Sharingan is activated through stressful or tramatic events, i.e Sasuke when Itachi first left the village. Sasuke gained his Sharingan when Itachi first left the village because of fear/anger towards Itachi, however he never seemed to use it or be able to until the Zabuza arc where Haku almost killed him and Naruto. Itachi gained his at six, we don't know when anybody else got theirs but the thing is they don't neccessarily work to get the Sharingan. The Sharingan is activated through training and powers are granted to the user upon it's activation, same thing with MS and EMS. MS you get through the death of your best friend/closest person to you becaues of the emotinal impact it's supposed to have, EMS you take the eyes of your brother. You don't earn the eyes or the powers.

However you develop the eyes and the power, with the exception of MS which is a hinderance the more you use it, so your best bet is to either stay in standard or to find another pair of eyes by knocking on your brother's door. Sharingan is overpowered, so is Rinningan, so are Bijuu. They all have a standard of power that is granted to the user...that's the power, however, they develop those powers.

So yes Sharingan and it's varriants are overpowered.

For all we know that was just itachi's way of getting sasuke to attain MS, i still think gaining MS is just to feel guilt in general. Also when itachi explained to sasuke about the uchiha's past. He said Izuna/madara just awakened theirs . He didn't say anything what so ever about them killing their best friend or someone close to them. Also kakakashi how did he gain his?? it wasn't stated that he killed obitio. He was actually in good terms with him before he died. The one thing connected with them all awakening their MS is that they felt some sort of guilt.

The three shinobi you listed are extremely gifted even with in the Uchiha clan, which is gifted in general. The Sharingan is OP for sure, Kishi made it that way on purpose. They are the hurdle for generations to overcome. Plus from what I have seen, most of them are concieted because they are Uchiha and have the sharingan. They think they are better then everyone, to the point of even planning a coup because they are being "mistreated".

Like I said, they were intentionally made OP. Yeah they work hard, but the clan is also naturally gifted, like the Hyuuga. The clan that I like the most is probably either the Nara or Sarutobi clan. Nara, because they may have a "weak" jutsu in comparison, but they utilize it very well. The Sarutobi, because though they don't have a specific "gift" at birth, they seem to catch on and learn very quickly.

I agree that the means to attain the eye abilities is hard work (you have to obviously have enough chakra and stamina to use the abilities) because they don't just make the user invincible automatically, they have to be able to use them (they are tools). With that said, I think it is necessary to point out that awakening the various Sharingans itself takes little to no work (apology in advance because I will not be citing manga chapters/episodes). It is a fact that up until the MS other S are gained simply by being put in danger and the eye technique will develop in order to protect said member of the Uchiha. For MS, theoretically it could also be little to no work. Someone who is your closest friend would never expect you to attack them, so it would be easy to just stick a knife in them when they didn't expect it. However we have never seen this since the people who have MS aren't complete bastards. Although I would like to point out that according to Tobi Izuna gave up his eyes willingly to Madara (is this evidence invalid since Tobi's character is not confirmed as Madara? Curious.).

After stating all that, I would say that it probably is a little OP. However, if you look at the manga from a literary standpoint (analysis of the literature itself) this would actually make perfect sense. Obviously Sasuke and Naruto are foils (hopefully you all are familiar with this term) therefore Sasuke would get his talent from inheritance. It has been stated that Uchiha are naturally extremely gifted. Whereas Naruto used to suck, and worked super hard to get to where he is at (an image Kishi has created on purpose). After all that, I guess Sharingan would have to be OP.
