Two strangers meet on a picturesque landscape, seemingly lifted straight from the cover of a magazine. Vibrant, nigh-over saturated, yet somehow at the same time subtly muted colours bombard the senses, creating a surprisingly balanced contrast between the two. Despite feeling rather out of place in such a verdant landscape, Shayde kept his typical cool, composed façade up rather well, though it was absolutely no match for the nigh-perfectly tranquil expression that constituted his student's face, unwavering in it's sheer neutrality. Taking a second to look the undoubtedly confident woman over, she was not what Shayde expected when he was asked to help a fellow Uchiha in their pursuit of power. Instead of a harsh gaze, hair blacker than an abyss, and wildly militant clothing, she had soft muted features, burning auburn hair, and clothing befitting a civilian, instead of one of the most notorious, and powerful Shinobi Clans in the Ninja World. Indeed, this woman was bound to be full of surprises...

"Well, you're certainly... Not what I expected, not that that's a bad thing. I'm just used to women Uchiha women being... Hmm, how to put this delicately... Absolutely terrifying? Though I guess I'm getting ahead of myself here. You've got plenty of time to prove me wrong... My name's Shayde, and I guess you're already blatantly aware why I'm here."

Giving Lana plenty of time to introduce herself, and make any comments, observations, or quips, if she was the kind of person to engage in such banter, before he resumed.

"Okay, so to start, I'd like you tell me anything and everything you know about our Clan. Focus mostly on our abilities and capabilities, especially our Dōjutsu, but if you know anything from the Uchiha's history, to it's tactics in combat, people worthy of note, or anything else, please don't hesitate, or hold back. It's always fun meeting new members, and seeing how much they really know of their Clan. You'd be surprised how long some members have gone without knowing their roots. So, in your own time, tell me what you know of the Uchiha."

[Sub]Indeed, the terrain was a scenic one; the kind wherein one loses their sense of time observing the beautiful amalgam of rich colours and wildlife sounds. Atop a grassy 15 m tall and 10 m wide cylindrical platform they stood. And surrounded they were by a cliff even taller, from which a waterfall cascaded, pooling into the land below, hydrating all that was in need of H2O. Trees waved in the direction of the wind generated by said waterfall, and the sun, whilst at its peak, was still kind to the eyes. But here, for the female Uchiha, time was of the essence. She couldn't afford the luxury of surveying the beholden landscape around her, no. Instead, she would enjoy all of that through her peripheral vision as she kept her eyes coolly trained on the man that stood not so far. Lana was dressed in a nigh-translucent white shirt that outlined nothing more than the bright red bra she wore underneath. And being a woman of style, this was of course neatly tucked into the light blue jeans she wore. As for the figure before her, he was the diametric opposite; as if he didn't sport enough dark features - namely his raven black hair and black tattoos - he also dressed in dark garments. The only thing that was dissimilar about the dark theme he had going on was his right eye. Or rather, the colour of it; it was blood red. Perhaps if they were friends she might have inquired about it, but under the current settings, it was neither here nor there.

And so he spoke, introducing himself and saying something about her being nothing like the conventional Uchiha woman. He stated that his name was Shayde, and although it was probably spelled differently, it sounded much like the word shade, which was congruent with the dark theme noted earlier. Again, nothing of importance, but it was a connection that her brain couldn't help but make. Then there was silence. Lana assumed that was her queue to introduce herself, but she said naught, certain that someone of his stature had done their research. And so the silence resumed, before he spoke out again - this time questioning her about their clan.

Lana Del Rey's knowledge about the infamous Uchiha clan was not extensive at all. For the most part in her teenage and adolescent years, she was more interested in civilian life. It was only recently she developed a vested interest in her roots and the supposed power her unlearned eyes contained. Howbeit, she wasn't totally clueless, so she recited the snippets of information she knew already knew.

"Save the obvious, our clan doujutsu is called the Sharingan. In it, there are various different levels, each progressively harder to obtain. After awakening, we begin with the first tomoe, or comma. With this comes the sight of chakra, and it allows us to perceive motions, which in turn enhances our reflexes. With two commas comes the ability to copy perceived motions split seconds after seeing them performed. And finally, with three commas, comes the ability to predict motions".

Lana paused for a moment before continuing. "I am aware that there exists other stages beyond the three commas, but currently I have no interest in them". Obviously, that last part was a lie. [/Sub]

Sorry for the delay. Real life shit got in the way. :/

Once more, Shayde had been tasked with imparting the knowledge of his Clan to, virtually, a complete outsider. There were more and more of these "new generation" Uchiha, with little to no knowledge of their heritage cropping upm these days. Not that it was a bad thing, or not understandable, as so many were killed in the massacre, yet just as many escaped, seemingly raising their children in a post-Uchiha world, where that knowledge could hurt them, rather than empower them. So with an increasingly common task ahead of him, Shayde made his position clear.

"So, looks like I've been tasked with teaching another lost child of the Uchiha our ways..."

Sighing heavily, Shayde knew exactly what was expected of him now. If this was another run of the mill Uchiha male, he'd give them the training he both recieved, and deserved. The brutal training method, where the student is beaten within an inch of their life, then beaten some more. It was a barbaric system that more frequently caused trips to the hospital, and grave, than the battlefield. And if Shayde had the stomach to lay hands on a woman in such a way, he would have already started, but by some form of chivalry that had seemingly gone extinct in recent days, he developed a less physically brutal, yet equally barbaric method. One that Lana was about to experience first hand...

"Hmm... How best to start...?"

Before she could even register it, Shayde appeared before Lana, his face engulfing the entirety of her field of vision, his Sharingan active with a pattern that transcended her knowledge. It was in fact a pattern Shayde himself was not truly familiar with, as the ascension had occurred only recently, so this seemed as good a venue as any to test out his new eyes' capabilities. As their eyes met properly for the first time, Lana would suddenly jolt herself, as though she had just abruptly awoken from the fringe of a dream. When she acclimated to her sudden shock, she would no longer be within the confines of her picturesque environment, with all of it's retro style. Instead she was standing on an active battlefield, stained with the blood of family and foe alike. This was the Uchiha's birthright; War. Simple, pure, unfiltered destruction, the likes of which ravaged nations, and slaughtered thousands of lives, innocent or otherwise. The Uchiha fanned the flames of war, ignorant to the way the winds blew. Before long however, when the world began to quieten down, and took on a more peaceful façade. The battlefield began to fade away, and in it's place, buildings sprung up. Homes, businesses, places of worship, and historical value. The Uchiha had finally ceased their rampage across the Ninja World, and settled down within the Village Hidden in the Leaves. And things were peaceful, for a time, but even this peace had it's limitations. Between the growing distrust between the Uchiha and the Village and it's higher ups, and numerous incidents, and events that seemed to implicate the Uchiha, like the Nine Tailed Fox's attack, tensions rose to a boiling point within the Clan and Village as a whole. A coup was planned, and prepared, but on the eve of this uprising, one man stood against the Uchiha, putting the needs of the Village above his own family. Lana would then bear witness to dozens, hundreds of Uchiha, men, women, children and elderly alike, slaughtered in their homes, and on the streets. Crying out in pain, with deafening silence as their reply, but the Uchiha Clan were not all killed. Some escaped during the event, others left before it, and one child in particular was cruelly, benevolently spared, and given a fate worse than death itself. The Uchiha Clan was massacred, and near extinction, but not completely gone... These images replayed within Lana's mind for hours, days, and just when it seemed like too much to bear, she plunged through the veil of illusion, and back to reality.

Shayde stood back, and let Lana react as she wished. Would the trauma of knowing the exact nature of her roots, and the images of the family she never knew slaughtered, still fresh in her mind, unravel her? Would she break down like many others had at that most gruesome of sights, even if it was but a mere illusion? A taste of what transpired that night, and what it truly felt like? Or would her distance from the Clan save her from such emotions and reactions? She never truly knew them after all, so why would a fragmented memory of some distant, obscure night affect her? Would she even appreciate this knowledge, or would she harbour discord, and hatred towards Shayde for trying to traumatize her so? To impose his knowledge and empathy where she felt like she required, or owed none? So many ways she could react now that she had seen the history, truth, and near-end of her Clan, and every one of them was justifiable, and understandable. As he kept his distanced vantage point from Lana, he awaited her response, to see her reaction before divulging the intent behind his actions, if at all.

"So, looks like I've been tasked with teaching another lost child of the Uchiha our ways" and "Hmm, how best to start?" were the last words ushered by her instructor, in a tone which suggested he had spoken them all too often. Then in a moment's notice - sans a prelude - Lana was completely overtaken by what could only be described as the collective amalgam of horrors and nightmares imaginable by the most sordid of sadists. It was all too real; floors and walls painted with crimson red blood; the deafening, high-pitched cries from children witnessing the graphic slaughtering of their parents'; the stench of unsightly, month-old corpses; the feeling of dust and grit suffocating the face; and the taste of death in the air. But of course, this was naught but an illusion. In reality, the Uchiha stood paralyzed; her lips parted, her eyebrows raised, twitching involuntarily, and her eyes wide, staring into the distance, registering zilch. Howbeit, in her mind, it was a whole nother shebang. Pictures of love turning into hate, then to betrayal, and finally death, flashed across her mind quasi-ad infinitum. So, this was the pitiful cycle of the Uchiha clan?

Then at last, just as she was about to pass out, she broke free. Panting, with accumulated beads of sweat gleaming off her forehead, Lana leaned on her knees. Exhaustion was simply an understatement. It was as if she was drained of her very life force. The only thing that kept her from being face flat on the ground was a simple conviction she reached and found strength in. And so, with new-found strength and wisdom, she stood upright again and looked onwards.

"I'll preface this by saying that the pain and anguish my - or more aptly - our ancestors have suffered is not lost on me. And I accept that their vicissitudes and misfortunes are a part of my history", she said, then paused for a moment to formulate her next words carefully. "However, beyond that, it has nothing to do with me. They are relics of the past, I won't let their remaining vestiges impede my goals, nor colour any relations I may have with clans that ours historically did not get along with. At least, that's my take on it anyway.

Apologies for the delay. Had some important irl stuff that needed done. Anyway, back to it.

Lana's words were met with a calm and collected, if slightly concerning facade as she spoke her mind in regards to the Uchiha. While she did, Shayde paid less attention to her mouth than her eyes, which held their charming air, not the cold, violent crimson afforded to the Uchiha. As Lana stated her decision, the aloofness that exuded from Shayde quickly melted, and in it's place an amused smirk.

"Even after seeing their history, and knowing the ultimate fate of your Clan... You won't let that knowledge dictate your future, or sway you from your own path? Man, I envy this "new wave" of Uchiha, and all the emotional maturity they have. It's a damn shame then... What has to happen now..."

His last words were spoken with a dark, matter-of-fact, bordering on hostile tone. Despite the trauma she had endured, Lana had came out of this experience no worse for wear, as apart from general exhaustion from being within such a powerful, directed Genjutsu, she was unscathed. As such, Shayde's method, the kinder method, had failed. As much as he despised it, Shayde had no choice but to turn to the greater of the two evils that constituted his Clan's "training"... His face contorted into a scowl, as he reached into his back pouch, and pulled out a Shuriken, swiftly tossing it at the young woman, deeply grazing her cheek. If mental trauma could not unlock the young woman's latent potential hidden away within her Uchiha blood, then physical trauma was the pairs' only option. Without hesitation, Shayde swiftly closed the gap between himself and Lana, finishing the movement with a simple upwards kick to the young woman's abdomen, her hunched, exasperated form making it all the easier to target such a vital area. From there, Shayde spent several minutes mercilessly beating the young woman, doing his best to ensure she wasn't going to die on him there and then, but certainly brutally enough to try and instill some small ember of rage, or hatred within her. As the moments became minutes, when no sudden change, or flooding of Chakra was noted within the young woman's optical Tenketsu, Shayde decided it was time fort an all-out assault on this young woman's very identity, as a last resort. The hail-est of all Marys as it were. Dragging Lana by the arm to look out over this land which she so perfectly fit in with, even while drenched in her own blood, he then began spewing streams of flames out over her picturesque, carefully controlled, meticulously manipulated environment, causing the surroundings that best befit the beautiful young woman's identity to slowly disappear, replacing it with one more befitting her heritage; a sea of burning flames from which there was no respite, and within, only destruction could be found. While horrific, barbaric, and down right evil, Shayde hoped such an extreme act, on top of all the other forms of trauma, and pain he had been forced to inflict, would give her the push she needed to awaken her Dōjutsu. As the two stared out over the conflagrated landscape, Shayde turned to the young woman once more, and asked her a simple, yet unbelievably important question.

"Do you hate me...?"

A change in Shayde's demeanor had not went unremarked to the ever-observant Lana. After she completed her dialogue he talked, howbeit none of it was relevant to unlocking the feared and revered Sharingan, so naturally his words went through one ear and out the other. It seemed that he was a man of many words. She did not like that. And more so the ending of his ramblings - as they contained an aggressive undertone - and the cruel smirk that followed; both of which betokened danger. Physically, she put up her guard; mentally, she tried to dial back his speech to see if she missed something. Perhaps he noticed her inattentiveness and became angry? Or was the culprit something unbeknownst to her? The young Uchiha did not have time to connect the dots as her left cheek was sliced by a shuriken and blood rushed forth. Before she could get over the shock factor, Shayde lunged forward and landed an unobstructed kick to her abdomen, one that made her hunch forcibly as the air escaped her lungs - almost as if they didn't want a part in this. From there it was a one-sided beat down. What for? She didn't know. But what she did know was she despised being touched to the highest degree; so imagine being used as a human punching bag.

Left. Right. Left. Right. Lana lay on the grass, expressionlessly gazing at the clement weather, remembering, whilst her beater was positioned above her. Such beautiful day to be recalling dark memories, huh? she thought to herself. She would have smiled too, had not been for the the fact that her lips were heavy with bruises. Headbutt. Right. Left. Right. At this point she was devoid of pain. Once Shayde had had enough of beating Lana senseless, he dragged her across the grass by a hand before letting go and setting their surroundings ablaze, turning the scenery akin to what he made her see in the genjutsu. Lana's stare was still affixed on the sky above, until the smoke from the fire rose up and ruined her sighting, abruptly bringing her back to reality, and with it, anger and hatred by order of several magnitudes. Dishevelled and with a murderous glare, she stood up behind Shayde.

"Do you hate me?", he turned around just in time. Lana looked at him for a second to see if he was stupid, then shut her eyes. The nerve, the audacity. She mentally started a timer for him to get the **** out of her face before she reciprocated the last ten minutes unto him, and then some. When the timer ran down, she opened her eyes again to see a body of chakra before her. The shock distracted her from the fact that she wanted to kill him. Lana's once dark-green were replaced by blood red ones, and inscribed at an angle from her pupils was a single black comma.

"..."

( Doujutsu: Sharingan ) Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - A Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 - 30 ( -5 per turn for 1T and 2T, 10 per turn to keep active for 3T )
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill
Note: C rank usage is for 1T Sharingan, B rank usage is reserved for 2T Sharingan. A Rank usage is reserved for 3T Sharingan.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

(I changed the narrative slightly, hope you don't mind :p)

I took waaaaaaay too long to reply to this. I know you probably mind, and even hate me, but hey, you can use that hatred in the training, and future activation's , so it's all good. R-right? Right? >__>

Shayde silently breathed a sigh of relief as the young woman's eyes exploded into a crimson hue. Despite how tasteless it was, to show a sliver of positive emotion given the circumstances, he almost took pride in the fact that his act of laying his hands on a woman was not pointless. Almost... Moving past his personal hang-ups, he waited in silence for a response to his question, but as none was given, he dropped the serious facade, and spoke frankly.

"Look, you may not like it, but you left me no choice. If that illusory method fails, then the only option left open is the 'old' method. To be honest, you got off easy. Some people actually get genuine enjoyment from that method. I almost died because of mine... That's why I honestly prefer the illusory method when it comes to these trainings, especially if the student in question isn't familiar with the Clan itself. It's both a history lesson, and an awakening in one go. Admittedly I haven't done very many of these, so I'm still pretty new to it, but all that emotional maturity of yours really didn't help. It certainly isn't something you got from the Uchiha, I can tell you that much..."

Aware that he was droning on, he caught himself, and got back on track before he prattled further.

"So, anyway... I guess this'll all be pretty new to you. Want to try and describe what you're currently experiencing?" Looking at her bloodied, bruised form, a tinge of guilt crept its way into Shayde's heart. Though knowing he would probably regret it, he extended his arms to his sides, and provided Lana an outlet he expected she would appreciate. "While you do that, if you think it'll be therapeutic, I'll let you get a few shots in."
