) I'm lead to believe that the rinnegan is what happens to your sharingan when you activate senjutsu chakra. We know there is a change in the eyes when using senjutsu I.e. naruto, minato, jiraiya, and kabuto all displayed changes in eyes. Sorry if this is a repost and for not posting more links.
