Dear NB, today was a good day. As always, I killed some time with watching lots of AMVs (Anime Music Videos). Then I thought: "Hey, a thread about AMVs on NB would be cool. Does something like this already exist?". So I came over here, used the search-bar and couldn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I'm just blind.. if that's the case, then I'm sorry. But if I'm not blind, then feel free to share as many of your dearest AMVs as you want with us. They don't have to be Naruto-related. Be it based on action, romance/pairings, storytelling.. everything is appreciated.
Now, I'll make the first step. Here is a beautiful AMV that I discovered yesterday.
Good thread idea. There is a section just for videos, but a single thread where it is a collection of favorites isn't a bad idea. Kind of like a showcase and fast search to what people consider their favorites/the best.

For example, Legend of Korra, which has the style of an anime and is also animated by a south-korean studio. To me, a cartoon is something like "The Simpsons", "Spongebob" or "Danny Phantom".
But whatever. Of course all of you also can post "AMVs" that cover a cartoon, a real movie or whatever else. It just should fit into the concept of a fan-made video, supported by more or less music. So I' curious to see what live action music videos you woud like to share with us, Jacko

Unfortunately the first one is not available in my country. The second one is from "DnManumont", who is a great artist of AMVs in my opinion. Personally, I don't like One Piece, but qualitatively this is indeed a great piece of work. The third one is enjoyable too. I like the slow beginning and the music in general. I even remember most of the scenes from the first two minutes from when I used to watch the show a bit. :>

Thank you lol I was like "I like Soul Eater, Yugioh GX, Yugioh, Death Note" and you're counting Avatar, so I can get a good few, but I looked at my favorite videos that I have downloaded and just saw so many live action. My mind went to "Well then!"
I hate that difference lol I think it is a huge disrespect to cartoons. Avatar is very anime influenced, but it is a cartoon technically. Yes, most cartoons are comedy (adult or kid) along with what you said, but things like Young Justice, Green Lantern: TAS, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, and Avatar are beyond amazing and should be treated as such. Me, personally, I like to refer to it all under the same umbrella. There is clearly is a difference with anime style and cartoon style, but I wish we all could just call it like animation or something. But hey, I get what you're saying. I think Avatar is beyond special and breaks boundaries. Not all anime is bad. It has a bad rep and I love that Avatar kind of shed some light into it. You can have anime-esque qualities, but be quality and amazing. It breaks stereotypes. I guess I shouldn't feel so against anime like I am or against comparing Avatar to it. I just love Avatar so much and hate a lot of anime stereotypes so much that I hate them being compared, as well as feeling yeah, it is a low blow to cartoons. Ah, conflicts! Anyway, I'd love to talk about how amazing Avatar is, but onto videos!

This video means something to me. This youtuber was taking requests, I have two, and he/she made it. I couldn't believe it and to surprise me even more, he/she made it perfectly. I love wrestling and Dean/AJ would have been awesome together. They have so much in common and I have so many ideas for them to the point where it exceeds wrestling and hopefully fanfiction. I've made these characters something else in my head and would love to make a short story about an idea I have. Getting out of my mind for a sec and back to reality...Sadly, they just never crossed paths during their time in the WWE to do a storyline together, but this video makes up for that. So many videos don't capture how I view this what if relationship, but this one does. So good. The amount of smiles I get from watching this is just off the charts. I feel like the person making this had an insight into my mind.
Now, to get twisted. A trio of videos here! Why, Jack, why? Long story!
Jaime and Cersei are complicated. Cersei is not a good person, Jaime is a good person deep down, and, well, they are twins, brother and sister. That last part is a part that turns everyone off, kind of rightfully so (but I lost my normality via Game of Thrones, Hannibal, and Bates Motel. Oh, we'll get to them) and if it didn't, the part of Cersei being completely evil does. I can't though. So many people prefer Jaime with Brienne, but I can't. Jaime and Cersei are twisted, but they love each other more than anyone else. The show is amazing, but fails to capture that true love. You just don't get into the mind of a character and certain scenes are skipped or even worse, changed them negatively when adapting. I am in love with these two. I included three videos because the clarity video captures them perfectly. Jaime has a line saying "Why has god made me love a hateful woman?" or something like that. They are both aware they have changed as people, but are still completely in true love. The don't deserve your love one showcases the fact that Jaime is such a good person, truly Cersei doesn't deserve him, but they are together for better or worse. The third video, my favorite of the three, just straight up is their relationship perfectly. A lot of fan videos use Heath Ledger/Tamsin Egerton to represent a younger Jaime/Cersei to capture moments not present in the show's timeline. What amazing fancasting. Just perfect. Anyway, that third video was hard to find on YT. It has been set to private. Seems the creator has closed off their stuff, which is a shame because if this video is any indication, this editor was good. That is the story of Jaime/Cersei. Just shows everything.
Final words on Cersei and Jaime. I did talk a lot about them it seems. Apparently, I have a lot to say. I really could have just posted the third video as it captures everything, but I wanted to paint a full picture, you know? Plus, share the amazing videos! They just perfectly capture everything with scene choice and song choice. Such a complex relationship.
Yeah, so far Jacko likes wrestling, ships wrestlers together, and ships GOT incest. Oh boy, how could it get worse? Worse. It gets worse. Funny enough though, I think people may take away "I like wrestling" more to heart than the rest lol

I love Bates Motel. I love Hannibal. I love Norman/Norma. I love Will/Hannibal. I love a videos that have a certain special vibe to them, one that captures the thing it is editing perfectly via the music, editing, look, everything. This is the example of all of that. Well, it is an example of the crazy, killer, psycho layer, which I love, but there is so much more and I'll cover that in another video. I could spend forever going into the twisted beauty of Norman/Norma and Will/Hannibal, but I'll leave that for solo videos with just one of them. I've written enough already with Jaime/Cersei. Honestly, Hannibal and Will may be even more "normal" than Cersei/Jaime since it isn't, ya know, incest, but they have their own problems. Norman and Norma on the other hand...Oh boy. Anyway, this video just feels psychotic and I love it.

D. Grayson and Barbara are my childhood. I love superheroes and Batman is my core world. They were characters I love and a couple that I loved. To find a video that just captures them, their innocence, just, well, makes me smile.
And ending with even more happy!
Babs and DG were my childhood. Snow and Charming are my adulthood. Snow and Charming are one of my most favorite couples ever. Their S1 story hit me in all the right places. I was surprised how much my heart was into it. A lot of romances I watch are CW bad or just don't vibe with me. Most of my favorite couples aren't canon, but Snow and Charming are special. They are a cannon main pairing written perfectly. I love these characters and their love story. This video captures their S1 struggle of being cursed PERFECTLY.

Yep, except for the art-style I also don't see much difference between anime and cartoon. I'd be totally fine with calling all of it just "animation", because that is what it is. But I guess that would be too easy, huh? I mean, people still can't see other people simply as humans and like to categorize them. Maybe that's our brain's fault, I don't know. About the first video, the one about the two wrestlers.. I like it !
I'm not into wrestling, but I see the art in it. And I couldn't believe that these two people never "crossed paths", it is so well done that it looks real xD Which is cool! Especially as a request. I'm happy for you.
Now GOT. Well, yeah, it is weird, but the videos indeed show true love and romance. I could understand it better if I knew the characters better, I'm sure. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the series ._.

Hannibal and Bates Motel. Yeah, you like things that contrast strongly with what we like to call "normal".. and yeah, I do that too to a certain degree. I don't see a problem with this. And for sure, all the videos you posted are well edited. I love the music from the Hannibal/Bates Motel video! As well as how the "screen" is distorted in certain times while fitting with the music. Especially at 1:05 for example.
The Batman-one really made me smile too! Romance is just beautiful and the video totally shows their love, innocence and yeah, without beeing too cheesy. xD And I like that it is so short, but can still deliver so much content to us viewers.
And the last video. Wow Q-Q
Would you tell me what show/movie this is? So much love, romance and yet tragedy swings with it. I'd really like to watch the source. Thanks for sharing! The song fits so good as much as I can tell. They are so cuuute >.>

HA. Yeah, I got carried away. Also, nice use of the spoil tags. I should have done that. Make the thread easier to navigate. Plus, makes me post look less monsterish until you click the tags. Then it is just whoa, calm down! I've never really spoken to anybody about this stuff before and although the videos do a fantastic job, I think I just needed to describe what I love about the video's content itself and then talk about the actual video, which I kind of feel like I slacked a bit. I got to say I am VERY picky about my videos, so if I'm posting them, I love them. So, to me, those videos just are extremely well made, tell an amazing story, showcases whatever they are showcasing perfectly, truly combines the clips/music, and everything.
I know, right? It really looks like they interact in that video. Just blows my mind how well because they never had a second of screen time together. Crazy stuff.
Whew. All of that was a relief to read regarding the Bates/Hannibal/GOT stuff. Game of Thrones is an awesome show, but it is a beast to get into. I'm sure you've heard so many people go "Watch it!" and you just don't want to because so many people hype it up. Doesn't help it is on it's 6th season either. That is a lot of TV, so I don't blame you. I tackled it, finally, last year. And ah, it's okay. You got the main point.
Oh and that show is Once Upon a Time. One of my all time favorite shows. Really happy you liked the Batgirl/Robin and Snow/Charming videos!
As for those LOS videos, WOW. I'm okay with spoilers as I know the story through just others talking about it, so I watched them. Wow. Hearing people talk about how emotional it was is one thing, but getting to see it is something else. That's a heart tugger if I ever saw one. I can only imagine what playing that game without knowing anything felt like.
