Hello everyone and welcome back to another theory for entertainment. This time I'll be talking about the most powerful crew alive today: The "Red Hair" Pirates. My favorite part about this theory is Yasopp. The thing I've found out about him were truly unexpected.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Red Hair pirates are all haki beast and are very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. It seems are though none of them have any DFs but if some of them do, they do not rely on them. Strangely, they seem to be based of "normal" people whether its actors, singers or cartoon characters and a personal thank you to @beck26 and @KuroNaito.
"Red Hair" Shanks
The strongest character alive today. Not only is Shanks the strongest, he has the strongest haki of any being still breathing. Shanks wields a saber and his style is very similar to that of Hakuba but unlike Hakuba, Shanks is much faster and way more precise with his clashes. Shanks is a speed type swordsman. The biggest mystery to Shanks' abilities is his supposed ability to control lightning and time.
Both are the result of Shanks' Conqueror's Haki.
Conqueror's Haki is the ability to use your willpower to dominate anything. Shanks cannot control time but his CoC is so strong that it bends time and space around him, creating the illusion of him moving at super fast speeds. Pretty much time slows down around him and it appears as though he's teleporting from the perspective of others. VERY STRONG CoO is required to fight Shanks and the only person who could see through this trick perfectly was "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk. CoC haki can dominate the elements and toss in that the rapid collision of time and space creates a lightning effect, Shanks can use lightning with his swords+CoC.
Shanks has the strongest CoC out of anyone alive tody and the only person who's CoC rivals Shanks' is Dragon.
Ben Beckmann
It was established very early in the OP series that Beckmann had the highest IQ of anyone in East Blue so he must be a tactical/battle genius. Quick question though...Do you fell lucky? Well do ya? Punk? I believe Ben Beckmann is based off Clint Eastwood and that's believable since Oda is a fan of westerns.
This leads me to believe Beckmann is a master gunslinger and sharpshooter.
He was able to scare Kizaru at Marineford because he uses haki bullets(or seastone) and is an excellent marksman at mid range.
However though, @Alpha2late17 took this even further. He says that Ben Beckmann's gun is actually a gunblade. One Piece draws a lot inspiration from Final Fantasy and Beckmann's gunblade style is inspired by Squall Lionheart. In the first chapter of OP, we saw Beckmann use his gun like a sword and can coat it in armament haki like Vergo does with his bamboo stick.
Beckmann was matched against Shiliew because he has no problem fighting swordsmen in duels with his CoA imbedded gun.
Lucky Roo
Speed and Weight. A lot of flesh covers Roo's gut to tank blows and CoA makes him even tougher. His style, in essence, is very similar to that of Sentomaru. He has a lot of poise and is a tank. We've got the weight down but what speed? I'm not telling you anything.
If you want to learn more, you have no choice but to read this excellent theory by @Jewish Kaizoku Dirty I know but its effective.
However, I will say this. Lucky Roo's design is probably based Yattaran from Captain Harlock.
Yasopp
Usopp's father and the sniper of the Red Hair Pirates. First of all, this guy looks ALOT like Bob Marley. Yasopp even left his son behind to pursue piracy and Bob Marley became famous, he always mentioned his son.
Yasopp is most likely a beast at CoO and uses CoA bullets as well. His "dead eye" is so great that he can shoot the antenna of an ant from 100 feet away. No that his obvious abilities are out of the way, lets get to the good stuff.
At first, I couldn't find anything about Yasopp's inspiration or anything else. With no leads, I said screw it and randomly looked the name of his wife Banchina. Banchina is an Italian name and it means wharf, quayside, pier, moor and to tie a boat(the SHs go their first ship on Syrup Island with Usopp). I then proceeded to look up "moor" and found a lot of names that are tied to it.
Oda once said that Usopp nationality would've been African so we can assume that Yasopp is African as well. With this in mind and the early info I found about 'Moors', I was able to track Yasopp's inspiration down to two people. The first is William Moor who was an English sailor who's travels was plagued by sickness(His wife Banchina dying of sickness). Second is Leo Africanus who was a Moorish author who sailed North Africa and was captured by Spanish pirates and sold off as a slave, but was baptized and freed. I want you to keep Italian and Spanish in your minds for now.
The biggest thing that bugs me is the history between Yasopp and Vista. Oda said that those two have a bitter history but why? I did some research on Vista's name and it as both Spanish and Italian origins!
Vista's name itself means "a good view, especially one seen through a narrow opening." Like Yasopp using his narrow scope to get a good aim on Vista. In Spanish(originally Portuguese), "good view" means "Boa Vista" and Boa is a form of snake. In Italian, the name Vista has many variations and one of them is Faust, who is the protagonist of a popular German legend of a successful scholar who was dissatisfied with his life, so he made a pact with the devil, exchanging his soul for worldly pleasures! Also, Faust is also an adjective called "Faustian", which implies a situation in which an ambitious person surrenders moral integrity in order to achieve power! @Celestial D. Dragon was right!! Vista is an evil, dastardly villain!!!
??????
This guy really looks like Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures but that probably doesn't mean anything.
He also wields a sword and has a dragon tattoo. Since he was pitted against Jesus Burgess, I say his style is based off Shuai Jiao which is Chinese wrestling.
?????
Not much to go on about this guy as he has no name and hardly any panel time but he does wiled a sword and like the other Redhairs, he should be a haki beast. He also looks a lot like Axl Rose from the band Guns n' Roses.
?????
That monkey though. With his dead eyes, creepy smile, size and having that monkey pull on his mouth, I say this guy has a lot of tolerance.....pain tolerance that is. Not only does he remind me of Frankenstein, he was pitted against Catarina Devon. Catarina is known as the "Cresent Moon Hunter" and uses spears to fight. I think this guy uses techniques like Lao G and Kumadori, as in he can turn pain into stamina and rage. Kumadori can control hair, Lao G can control muscles, this guy can control pain. He is pretty much a living zombie. The big guy's design is probably based off Michael Clarke Duncan.
And that monkey? Duncan played a general ape form 2001 Planet of the Apes.
??????
Another one with no name but like the rest, he is very skilled in haki and also wields a sword. For some reason I think he is the doctor.
?????(Simba on crack)
He's a freaking lion. Obviosuly he is a close range fighter with teeth and claws. He is most likely a Minkman.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luffy and Shanks' battle is inevitable. Shanks will be Luffy's final test on his journey to find One Piece.
However, the Red Hair Pirates are also destined to fight the Blackbeard Pirates.
The Blackbeard Pirates will soon be all DF users and the Red Hair Pirates are all people who don't rely on them. These two crews are as opposite as they come. Shanks, the holy beast Suzaku, along with his crew are the strongest crew alive but they will be defeated by the Blackbeard Pirates but they won't go down so easy.
Every Yonko crew follows a theme
BB-Demons/Titans
Kaidou-Animals/Beast
Big Mam-Fairy Tail Creatures
Shanks-Normal People
It will be "Man vs Demon" in a apocalyptic war.
