Shanks is a relatively tall man, standing just under two meters, well-built, tan-complexioned, and in the prime of his mid-adulthood. Living up to his epithet, indeed being its reason, Shanks' hair is toned distinctly red: a deep-crimsonish. On his face resides a secondary trademark, a triple set of vertically parallel, linear scars that pass at an angle over his left ( untouched ) eye. Clothes-wise, Shanks outfit includes a sweeping long, sleeveless black cape with a high collar, and under it a simple, white shirt half-buttoned up, exposing the middle of his chest and some of his abs. Additionally, Shanks always wears pants cut below the knee, collected halfway up the shin. He sometimes wears a different, mildly baggier pair of pants with a green-yellow, indiscernible floral pattern, and his shirt is left out of his sash, which holds his saber. Finally, his footwear consists of simple brown sandals, their soles gray-studded.

Shanks is an extremely laid-back man, preferring to take his time as he travels around the world as opposed to rushing from one place to another. Shanks is a compassionate man who is largely seen with respect from other's. He typically avoids taking action that will result in violence. However, despite his outward simplicity, Shanks bears a rather complex moral code. His aversion to conflict has led him to believe that if personal opinions conflict, no matter how close the individuals may be, it is better to part. It is indicative that Shanks prefers others to see him as someone who cares little about his wellbeing, preferring to laugh off even dire situations as opposed to taking direct conflict. His carefree nature ends however when those under his protection are threatened. Shanks is almost always partying and drinking alcoholic beverages, as his favorite pastimes are attending and hosting parties and banquets. Shanks is a pacifist by nature who does not actively seek to cause chaos and disorder. He is also against the idea of needless bloodshed, even if honor is involved, and seems to only step up for a fight when it is the only option.

Shanks history is rather vague, not many people know about him nor where he came from and it is only recently that he's started to make moves in the open world, preferring to keep a low profile until it is absolutely necessary for him to take action. For now, he remains an unknown figure in the world.

Advanced Handseal Specialist ▼ Having only one arm, Shanks is capable of performing all Ninjutsu techniques using only a single hand seal. He is also skilled enough to perform these one handed hand seals whilst having his weapon in hand.

Advanced & Apex Kenjutsu Specialist ▼ Despite only possessing one hand, Shanks is an exceptionally skilled in close combat and Kenjutsu. Due to this, Shanks is capable of utilizing Iaido based Samurai techniques, as well as wielding two sword based CW in battle.

Yang Release ▼ Shanks has gained heightened vitality translating to 1000 chakra increase to his natural reserves. As well, his physical durability has increased significantly, allowing him to reduce up C-rank damage ( 30 dmg ) from physically damaging techniques like any nin, tai, and kenjutsu. As well, he is immune to recoil damage from techniques that cause it like Forbidden, though he can still succumb to the jutsu's other subscribed affects.

Renewal Taekwondo ▼ Due to Renewal Taekwondo's emphasis on quick, powerful kicks, Shanks' specialization in the style has resulted in his leg-based Taijutsu gaining a permanent passive enhancement ( +20 ).

Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan ▼ Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan literally meaning "Eternal Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye", is the highest known form of Sharingan, said to be feared as the strongest doujutsu. The appearance of the pupil drastically changes, differing from the users original shape. When active, Shanks can track speeds even further beyond that of the MS. The timing of his counters, the chaining speed of multiple techniques and the ability to see through the enemy's moves greatly increase even beyond the levels of MS. Not only that but Shanks has gained the ability to see through visual genjutsu S rank and below. The link to Genjutsu is further increased as he gained the ability to cast any and every genjutsu without the need for Handseals as long as he has a clear line of sight to the target. Also, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan gives Shanks access to the same powerful and forbidden techniques available to the user through his MS and even some additional ones. Like all EMS users, Shanks does not suffer any damage or decrease drawbacks in his EMS activation time limit through the use of MS based techniques.

Rinnegan ▼ Through the infusion of Hagoromo's chakra, Shanks has gained the Rinnegan and a passive +30 damage up to S rank, turning his techniques into a black color. Shanks gained an additional 750 chakra points added to base chakra level due to achieving the Rinnegan, and gains complete immunity to visual based Genjutsu. Shanks also gained access to the Six Paths being able to use 2 Paths at a time, as well as being able to see chakra and the chakra flow of other targets. He also has access to chakra rods, as well as his normal EMS techniques and abilities.

Body Seals, Medical Tools/Pills & Scientific Tools ▼ Shanks has several seals on his body with varying effects that both aid and enhance him in battle. He also carries several tools, weapons and pills with him at all times. In addition to this, Shanks has a special breed of enhanced snakes, which he is able to summon instead of normal ones.

Description: The user will have a seal on their clothes with the Kanji for “Armour” that is active all the time (must be stated in the user’s biography). The seal will be imbued with the user’s earth chakra and as such, the user’s clothing will be hardened and appear darker in colour similar to the canon technique Earth Release: Earth Spear making it akin to wearing armour. It will develop a metallic sheen in addition to the hardening which is purely cosmetic. It will not decrease the flexibility or mobility of the clothing nor will it increase the weight of it in any way, similar to the canon technique. The user will essentially become capable of withstanding damage/impacts as the hardened clothes absorb damage either completely or to a certain extent. The user's clothes will be capable of blocking kunai, shuriken, swords and other bladed weapons (Kenjutsu up to and including C-Rank). This technique will also render D-Rank and below Taijutsu useless if used on clothed portions of the body and decrease the damage of Taijutsu techniques above C-Rank by 10 damage points. Though it hardens the clothing if the is destroyed or removed the hardening loses effects and it holds no defensive ability against elements that are strong to earth.

Description: When an energy wave touches the user, be it the effects of a foreign ninjutsu or a defensive pulsating effect, a dormant seal triggers. The purpose of this seal is simple in it's usage and execution: when the foreign chakra nears the user's body, this seal triggers and a thin, unnoticeable to the human eye, layer of adhesive like chakra is released. The purpose of this is to "catch" the chakra of the aforementioned ninjutsus and bind it in place, preventing it from continuing it's actual effect. By doing this, the user both stops it as well as holds the chakra in place while the adhesive chakra quickly corrupts and eats the chakra within the jutsu, before rebounding it as a pure of raw chakra (travels at the speed of an average Wind jutsu), aiming to blast backwards in the direction it was released. Should the jutsu the user contained with this be of a defensive or supplementary nature, this jutsu will cause no damage to the target, instead it will negate it's usage.
Note: This is able to affect Ninjutsu of S rank and lower.
Note: This seal can be released up to 4 times per battle with a two turn break in usage.

Description: Based on the Sealing Trap Explosion, the user creates a cursed barrier around his person. This skin tight barrier is then made dormant until specific conditions are met. Should a jutsu of foreign chakra approach the user, the armor will react in such a way that, much like the parent jutsu, an explosion is generated. However, the difference between the two is that while the basic version is omnidirectional, this variant is a controlled outwards explosion generated towards the source of the foreign chakra. Due to the layer of chakra in the barrier around the body, the user is left unscathed as the barrier generated explosion disperses any attack of same chakra level or lower. Due to being an actual barrier and not a chakra shroud like with SM or Bijuu Modes, the user is left able to use other mode based jutsu while this lays dormant. Should an explosion occur in a direction, the user is able to release it from his fist instead of his entire front torso.

Description: This technique comes in the form of a seal, resembling a tattoo, that is passively inscribed on the user's chest before battle and directly connected to his chakra center via his own chakra once activated. It can also alternatively be applied to the user during battle via sealing tag.. The seal is infused with an abundance of very light and free type of earth chakra, similar to that of "Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique". Designed to close the gap between Taijutsu/Kenjutsu and Ninjutsu, this seal may be activated at will, whenever the user wishes, due to being so intricately connected to his chakra, but may only be used in combination with a Taijutsu or Kenjutsu technique. Whenever he wills it and performs such a technique, the seal may activate. When it does, the user will become infused with the lightened earth chakra and thus his entire body will be lightened several times over whilst performing certain actions during the technique. Any technique that requires, jumping, dashing, rolling, or any sort of potentially evasive action is now maximized due to the user's now lightened body. His jumps are higher, his dashes and rolls are faster, and things of that nature. Due to this, whenever he uses a jutsu that employs any of these actions, he is able to use them to simultaneously dodge incoming ninjutsu techniques since he is able to do these actions far beyond what a normal ninja would be able to. While the user still is not able to simply leap above things like Majestic Annihlation, he may still dodge any ninjutsu technique that is up to 10 meters in any dimension in its size with the aforementioned ways. While this jutsu may be used in combination with a taijutsu or kenjutsu move in the same timeframe due to it only being activated once these moves are used, it of course takes up a move slot.

Description: This seal may be passively applied to the users bio, or it can be applied in the form of the Kanji for "Repeat" forming on the user's body in mid battle. When this seal is applied it remains active until the end of the battle. When active, it forms an almost skin tight barrier over the user and any weapons he may holding at the time, the color of such barrier being dependent on the user. This barrier is basically dormant and does absolutely nothing until 2 conditions are met. The first is that the user must be using a taijutsu or kenjutsu technique. The second is that while using the aforementioned type of technique, the user is touching a chakra or elemental technique made up of another being's chakra. When these two conditions are met, the barrier will absorb 10 chakra (note that this doesn't mean it takes anything away from its rank or power) from the jutsu it is touching and immediately use that chakra to passively infuse itself with whatever type of chakra that it absorbed. It should be noted that this gives the barrier no inherent power nor defenses, but what it does do is combine the chakra absorbed with the power of the Taijutsu or Kenjutsu move in order to give it an infusion, making it play on equal terms with the whatever chakra it is touching at the time. This will also allow the users Tai/Ken techniques to interact with an opposing jutsu without the user getting hurt, as again, the raw power of these types of techniques from the user now have the same chakra infusion as a type of coating over them against the technique they would be used against. For example, due to having an elemental coating over it, the user could the D rank Slap technique to slap a D rank fire ball out of the way. And again, the barrier is merely providing protection, the users tai or kenjutsu is providing the power to truly compete. If the barrier absorbs chakra from an opposing technique, it will negate the cost of 10 chakra for that turn due to the chakra absorbed fueling it. To clarify, the barrier itself does no damage and provides no defense. It only coats the users taijutsu and kenjutsu techniques in the same opposing chakra that the user is touching at the time, allowing the user to interact equally with a jutsu he normally wouldn't be able to using those fields without being hurt. Without a taijutsu or kenjutsu move used with this barrier, the barrier is pretty much useless.

Medical Pills/Tools

Description and Background: Soldier pills are a more combat aimed variation of the military ration pill. Upon ingesting the pill, your chakra supply doubles, but burns at a greatly accelerated rate due to the "pressure" involved. Upon ingesting the pill, any ninjutsu you use gains +15 damage and any taijutsu gains +10 for 4 turns. Upon expiration of the effects you must use an extra 10 chakra for every technique afterwards for 5 turns with no enhanced effects due to the fatigue setting in meaning you have to force your techniques more, and thereby adding to the toll it takes on your body. These pills are a basic medicine medical ninjas use in combat and are essentially black small round pills which are swallowed and absorbed through the mucosa in the stomach, made off of various ingredients and medicinal herbs as well as stimulants. Can only be given out to up to 4 times, excluding the user's use.
Description of Side Effects:
-Upon using a second pill in a conflict the additional chakra cost after expiry rises to +30 until healed
-Upon taking a third pill, the medical ninja will suffer cardiac arrest upon expiry of the pill.
-Costs a move per turn to use.

Type: Healing
Description and Background: Military Rations Pills (兵糧丸, Hyōrōgan) are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. It is made up of powerful stimulants and nutrients, said to allow the user to keep fighting for three days and three nights without rest. Replenishes 50 percent of the user's maximum chakra supply per pill taken, along with pumping stimulants into the body to alleviate tiredness. These pills are a basic medicine medical ninjas use or distribute in combat and are essentially dark brown small round pills which are swallowed and absorbed through the mucosa in the stomach. Can only be given out to up to 4 times, excluding the user's use.
Description of Side Effects:
-Taking two pills in a conflict results in hyper-stimulation of the cardiovascular system. The users heart rate and blood pressure increase to the point they become painful for 6 turns after taking the pill.
-Taking 3 pills in a conflict pushes the user's cardiovascular system to breaking point, resulting in heart failure after 4 turns.
-Costs a move per turn to use.

Type: Healing
Description and Background: Contains high concentrations of amino acids, iron and mitosis inducing enzymes designed to turbo boost the production of erythrocytes from haematopoetic stem cells in the human body. This pill alleviates and cancels the symptoms of blood loss after one turn. These pills are a basic medicine medical ninjas use or administer in combat and are essentially dark red small round pills which are swallowed and absorbed through the mucosa in the stomach
Description of Side Effects:
-Taking 2 pills leads to increased blood pressure, and increased likelihood of blood clots forming, specially through trauma.
-Taking 3 pills over stresses the cardiovascular system and causes fainting from lack of blood to the head after 4 turns.
-Costs a move per turn to use.

Description: The Assasin's Arsenal is a set of 3 guns: an assault rifle and a pair of semi-automatic pistols. These guns are capable of firing Jutsu Bullets. The user can release up to 5 bullets freeform per turn, dealing a collective 20 damage. The user is also able to release Fire Jutsu Bullets at A rank power once per turn, only usable every two turns. This can be done via single fire or three round bursts from his chakra rifle or by firing his pistols, creating bursts up to 3 meters large.
Note: The two pistols can fire 5 freeform bullets per turn to deal 20 damage. These bullets are made of raw chakra and are of similar width to fingers.
Note: These pistols are also able to release up to 2 Projectile/Streaming jutsu per turn and up to 5 in total before having to recharge chakra cartridges. During the recharge periods, the user must spend 30 chakra to recharge the clips in which neither of the guns can be used.

Description: A cyborg attachment to the user's body, the user has a robotic limb that allows for him to create spheres of energy that are capable of absorbing chakra up to S rank level. These spheres are capable of dealing brute force on impact as well, growing to large heights, up to 4 meters in radius. Starting at roughly rasengan size, these spheres grow proportionally to the size of the technique absorbed. Normal Ninja are able to make use of one of these devices via specialized gloves that allow them to absorb 1 Ninjutsu per turn up to S rank while Cyborgs have these attachments and are able to absorb up to Forbidden powered attacks and 1 from each arm per turn.
Note: Can be used a max of 3 times for Ninja and 6 for Cyborgs.

Description: This Scientific Ninja Tool is a disk-shaped drone that can be controlled remotely with chakra to fly and attack. The user can have up to four drones which he can use to fire Jutsu Bullets from that are strong enough to render a target unconscious and move at comparable speed to Lightning jutsu. These drones are able to be used up to long range, or one landamark adjacent to the user's location.
Note: User can only have 2 max. Cyborg bios can have up to 4, either counting as 1 slot.
Note: Once deployed, Mirror Drones last up to 8 turns before their battery dies, requiring a break of the same amount of time before they can be used. Cyborg bios have double the using time for half the charging time ( only 4 turns to recharge battery ).

Description: The Shinobi Gauntlet (忍小手, Shinobigote), often shortened to just Gauntlet (小手, Kote), is a scientific ninja tool that is worn on the forearm. The Gauntlet was developed as a way to allow anyone to use complicated jutsu without the need for training or the requisite skills.To use, Scroll Cartridges that have had jutsu sealed into them are loaded into the Gauntlet's chamber. At first appearing as a normal sealing scroll, upon absorbing a technique it shrinks down to the size similar to a real bullet and can then be loaded into a tool to be activated later. When a nature transformation technique is activated from a Scroll Cartridge, the user make a unique single handed hand seal corresponding to the intended jutsu's nature using the hand of the arm that the Gauntlet is worn on. This causes the Gauntlet to release the jutsu from its Scroll Cartridge, firing it wherever the Gauntlet is aimed. Because the Gauntlet's jutsu require no chakra to perform, the user can gain an advantage in battle by releasing what would normally be chakra-taxing techniques in quick succession.
Note: Academy Student to Genin Ninja can have up to Forbidden ranks sealed, done in either battle, training, or the Ninja World. Chunin can have up to S ranks and Jounin and up ninja can have A ranks and below sealed within a Kote.

Description: The Soul Diffuser is a small ornate dagger bearing runic inscriptions on both side of the blade and at the bottom of the hilt; the runes are from an unknown language from a society lost over 2,000 years ago in Tobusekai. The dagger is only a mere 10 inches in length, not including the hilt, and is only somewhat sharp, clearly not intended for brute combat usage. The Soul Diffuser’s true purpose is shrouded in mystery, but it is known that the dagger is capable of summoning the Death God’s power into the user. This is achieved by the user smearing some of their blood on the dagger, and then stabbing the dagger into their own chest. With the blood smeared on the dagger, the dagger will instead of piercing into the user’s physical body will pierce into the user’s spiritual energy and summon the Death God’s power into the user’s form. At the cost of 10 health per turn, which cannot be healed or resisted in battle, the user becomes enhanced for a maximum of six turns. The Death God’s enhancement improves the user’s combat abilities significantly, and counts as a mode. Their speed is increased by 5 times its base, and all Ninjutsu performed is increased by 30 damage. The user becomes highly resistant to spiritual based techniques, becoming able to repel S-Rank and lower spiritual-based debilitations regardless of their nature (including Yin Release), for the duration of the enhancement. In addition to this, the user becomes able to visually perceive the spiritual world; this includes Limbo clones, Hands of Sloth, and other techniques not normally perceived within the physical plane. The Soul Diffuser can be used twice per arc.

Description: The Crotalinae are a selective species of snake summonings which were bred and assigned only to the greater of the snake contract signers. These species of Snake summonings specifically had evolved over time to have harder, more adaptable scales covering their body and an enhanced pit organ that naturally heightened their abilities to sense. This heightened sensing used through the pit organ seemingly was developed not only for predatory reasons but also for defensive measures against other predators. The sensing was exactly like the basics of any other snake, just taken to a higher level. Meaning they could sense minute vibrations up to a certain distance around them and even had an infrared optic map of the world before them. Typically, most snakes of the Crotalinae subfamily had natural infrared maps overlaid through their optic tectum, but with the Selective species being bred into existence it was heightened to the point of even being able to put this to use in the pitch black and in the darkest of times. The facial pit actually visualizes thermal radiation using the same optical principles as a pinhole camera, wherein the location of a source of thermal radiation/heat is determined by the location of the radiation on the membrane of the heat pit. The resolution on the infrared mapping through the heat pits has a very high resolution, which in turn allows the snakes to sense different levels of heat and cooler areas in extreme detail. Besides the sensing, their scales made for a greater form of defense, allowing them to survive harsher conditions and more damage than an average snake summoning. Not only were the scales on Crotalinae found to be more thicker and tougher than average, but they also held a passive ability to blend in with their environment by changing colors and becoming camouflaged. This coupled with their sensing made them very dangerous predators that were even able to escape other predator's perception if they didn't have some higher form of tracking or sensing.

Note: The Crotalinae Species can be summoned as generic snakes like the ones summoned in techniques such as: Summoning Technique: Giant Snakes, Summoning Technique: Three Headed Snakes, or Just the normal generic summoning technique, though instead of being normal snakes, they'd be of the Crotalinae subfamily. They won't take the place of those techniques, instead the user uses the generic summoning technique to summon Crotalinae, having to post this technique along with it but not costing an extra move.

Note: The sensing of minute vibrations and infrared mapping spans as far as an 100m radius, with larger snakes being able to sense the furthest due to their larger pit organs. Snakes under 40m in length can only sense up to 50m whole anything bigger can sense up to the maximum reach.

Note: The evolved scales allow the Crotalinae Species to take up to 20 more damage than average snake summonings of their rank. This is due to the thickness and tougher nature of the scaling covering the Crotalinae.
