[Question] Shank's Power?

We all know he's an incredible swordsman on par with Mihawk and that he has powerful Haki.

But I wonder if over the years he has obtained a DF.

Do you think he has?

Would you prefer him to have one or no?

And Hypotetically, what DF would you want him to have? Type? Specifics? Be creative.

Back at Romance Dawn Shanks told Luffy losing your ability to swim is the biggest loss for a pirate so it would be extremely out of character for him to have eaten one since.

That Mihawk never won any of their duels and Shanks never intended to take on the title of the Greatest Swordsman and when Shanks returned w/o an arm, Mihawk was annoyed for the fact that defeating him now wouldn't satisfy him because of the handicap.

But one thing's for sure, Shanks is a top-tier swordsman and with beastly Haki, he got himself among the strongest. And I'd hate a DF for him.

That actually makes a lot of sense actually. I just don't see how it would be enough against other conqueror haki users especially the yonko and their hax DF's.

Personally: I agree with you guys after what you said. Although I think it'd be cool if shanks had a paramecia DF that let him freely control his hair like jiraiya but on larger levels. Needle senbon, Barrier, absorption of people and things/storage. And the ability for his hair to absorb opponents haki leaving them vulnerable.

This would also go well with his moniker "Red Haired" Shanks.

While it's true that he is powerful haki user and it's very likely that he is incredible swordsman, not once it was stated that he is on par with Mihawk. Mihawk is best swordsman in the world.

No. Like someone already pointed out he made clear in first chapter.

Majority of the strongest characters are devil fruit users, it would be nice to see some others to not be one and instead relly on haki and their own strength skills.

Nope, never stated or implied. Maybe that was some theory, but it would be horrible IMO.

Zoro's goal is too surpass best swordsman in the world aka Mihawk, if Mihawk got his title only because Shanks lost his arm and earned it because Shanks got huge handicap, that would be bleh and without a point.

Also there are 4 Emperors: Big Mom (Paramecia), BB (originally Logia) and Kaido (most likely Zoan) so it would be nice if 4th would not relly on Devil Fruit.

This is all assumption but I'm guessing Shanks and maybe Dragon will have the highest level of Conq haki and it will be able to affect the world around them(there's a lot of good theories on this being how Dragon saved Luffy at Loguetown(?) not a weather DF or ancient weapon.

It'd be funny to find out he got his title red hair in a fashion similar to red leg Zeff lol. The hair DF would be pretty neat, especially if awakened he could control others hair now that'd be OP.

Since Robin can produce arms on others she could make Shanks a new arm. If only it worked like that.

Im saying the were equals at one point but mihawk surrpassed him.

Like I told, Shanks fought 'rivally' with a noob sword against the world's strongest sword.... And I don't believe Mihawk is that impressive, just imagine them fighting with equal swords wtf'd happen with Mihawk
