I think shanks is the son of rayleigh, they kinda look like eachother especially the hair

And that would also explain why shanks was in rogers crew at such a young age

+ if shanks doesnt have a DF. They would also have the exact same fighting style

rayleigh being shanks mentor is pretty plausible but being his son is a stretch
looking alike isnt a reliable thing cause the mangaka always follow specifc similar pattern when he draws his characters
for ex sabo is ace with luffy`s eyes and doflamingo is a blonde ten feet always laughing zoro with pink shades .
