So no wind at all? Well I'll need you to explain the wind element to me as best as you can. What is the wind element in naruto? Who are a few prominent users? The weaknesses, strenghts and kekke genkai wind is used to form.

"Wind in Naruto is a sharp-cutting element that controls the movement of air. In order to achieve the wind element, it was shown that Naruto had to extensively train and ask for advice from many people. Asuma who was also another user of wind told him that the key to the wind element is to make the chakra as sharp and as thin as possible. This was probably to enhance the idea of wind as a cutting element. The wind element is good for maintaining close combat because ninja like Asuma and Naruto used wind to enhance their close range fighting styles. Asuma used wind with his knives to make them cut through strong materials while Naruto combined it with his Rasengan. There are also other wind ninja like Temari who use long range wind like how she uses her fan.

The wind element is weak against fire as Yamato-senpai told Naruto. Wind is able to nurture fire mostly because it is able to give it more fuel and keep it going. The wind element is strong against lightning. From what I've read about the wind element on the wiki like Detective L-sensei told me to do, it seems that the wind element is a natural insulator. I know that in real life lightning is just movement of electrons and that there can be resistant against that current. So wind much just increase that resistance to stop the electrons from flowing.

The main Kekkai Genkai that uses the wind element is Ice. Ice uses wind to cool down the water to the point where it freezes. The opposite of that is the Scorch release which uses wind to add fuel to fire to make it even hotter."

After responding, Bell-kun waits for his senpai to give him further instructions.

Ok, wind is extremely good within its own aspect, it is fast, precise and has a tremendous cutting power. Something you did not mention was that wind can be found naturally around at ALL times. When using it in combos, Wind adds to the element used before, or so to speak. So when using wind with a fire, the result will be a stronger, and more largely spread Fire. With the water, the wind can be used to increase the speed and sharpness like weapons, and in some cases when the two are combined it can form a vortex, which is actually also an A-rank jutsu we'll get on to later on.

Wind can also become Sound, when mixed with Lightning. The basis of wind particles utilized with the vibration from the lightning produces waves of Sound. Furthermore, you partially got the strengths part right, when in comparison to the basic 5 elements, this means that:

A rank Wind > A rank Lightning*
A rank Wind = S rank Lightning

Vice-versa for Fire.

A rank Fire > A rank Wind*
A rank Fire = S Rank Wind

A rank Wind = A rank water
A rank Wind = A rank earth

When it comes down to wind verses earth or water, It's usually equal to it, but as with every jutsu, the effectiveness depends solely on size, shape and affects of each jutsu.. For example, you use the A rank wind blade vs An A rank earth wall which is both tall and wide... That wind won't have enough area of effect to damage the entire wall, instead it'll simply affect the point it hits; though it could end up crumbling the entire wall if you hit it in the proper places..

When in comparison towards KG's and hidden abilities, this is Wind's Strength and weaknesses:

Strengths:*
- Rain*
- Storm*
- Boil*
- Bugs (blowing/slicing them away)*
- Steam*
- Sound*
- Shikotsumyaku*
- Paper

Weaknesses:*
- Dust*
- Blast*
- Dark*
- Ice

As you can see, Wind is generally an extremely powerful element, due to its speed and cutting. And for a final philosophical view, know that Wind is all around us. Just like the Earth, and like I stated in my own wind training; in the narutoverse and rl wind is always present around us. So keep that in mind. Hence you can use that towards your advantage, that is when I believe Wind can be considered versatile, changing the terrain towards your advantage. You can form a wall of wind that blocks kunais and incoming objects of a not so great density, and use the wind to push yourself or your opponent from your previous location towards another one. For example; going airborne, and this can be applied towards objects as well, however we will go into this advanced detail further on in your training.

Now, getting into the practical point of view, get into a meditative pose and begin to concentrate on this new found Wind chakra. Begin to channel it throughout your entire body and into the air that is around you. I want you to feel and become one with this nature as we train..

Bell-kun sits down and crosses his legs together and begins to mediate as instructed by his senpai. He feels the wind against his face as he sits there motionless. As he senpai had told him, he would feel the wind everywhere on his body. The wind was always there. Bell-kun took deep breaths as he felt the air enter his lungs then being released. Bell-kun waited patiently for the wind to take over his body and allowed his muscles to relax. Bell-kun calmed himself so that his swayed with the wind like a leaf caught in the breeze. Instead of trying to fight the flow of the air, Bell-kun let it carry him.

I require all my wind students to read this. After that, I will test out Lili-Chwan's Method Training style. Of course, I will not do it the same way. But don't worry, I'll be sure to explain it every step of the way if you have no idea what I'm talking about. Credits to the basis of the style goes to her of course. Talk with Lili-Chwan if you like it or what not.

Soliloquy on Wind

The wind element is truly unique. It is well known that the wind element is my favorite element and was the first element that I learned, that is why I went through the trouble of creating the Atmospheric Pressure element. I wanted to take the wind element to the next level. Trying to explain the ways wind can be used is almost pointless. The ways are endless, one must just be able to attune to learning how to use wind. Yes, it is very true that the wind element is mainly an offensive element but you cannot be restricted. The wind element can also defend as well in its attacks, you just need to keep your mind open. The versatility is one of the reason why the wind element is my favorite. Unlike earth or water, wind exist everywhere. Without it life cannot exist. Where ever you can go, you cannot do there with wind. The pride of the wind element like you said is it's ability to cut. A master of wind must be able to sharpen their winds to extreme levels to be able to cut through anything through sharpening their own self discipline, this is how far I have taken my Atmospheric Pressure element. The winds that it possesses are so strong that is has far surpassed mere cutting, the element instantly turns whatever it touches into dust by cutting at an unimaginable speed and concentration.

The wind element has an unique relationship with other elements. Lightning an element with incredible potency, an element that can burst through fire, destroy earth, electrocute water, even though such destruction is caused by it, the wind element cancels it out. The wind element does not permit lightning through it. Lightning is an element of pure destruction, unlike the four other elements that come together to create the basis of life, lightning is the opposite. It is pure death, yet wind quells it. It is true that wind is weak against fire but is it not for the reason that fire needs wind. Without wind fire cannot exist. When used correctly the wind element is not weakened by fire, it is empowered. The user can create deadlier attacks using this combination. The water element can also be used to strengthen wind, the user can combine both water and wind to create attacks that can quell the largest of fires. Both of these examples shows the substance contained within the wind element. The wind element is the source that allows fire and water to be able to become stronger. Without wind, fire and water would remain weak. The earth element does not directly interact with the wind element, over time wind is what shapes earth altogether. The erosion produced by wind gives shapes to many rocks and mountains, even turning earth into sand over time. The Atmospheric Pressure element turns all earth and metals into sand instantly as a testament to wind.

The wind element to means personifies one thing; change. Change is the entire concept of wind. The wind element never stays still and never stays in one place. One with the wind, is one without rest. Wind represents change because of its interaction with the environment, as you said wind can be very peaceful. As you are walking through this forest right now, you feel that gentle breeze across your face do you not. Is this gentle wind not soothing to the touch and relaxing? I would say it is. You say this because of what you have experienced. But wind can change at any time. How would it feel if you were standing in front of an F-5 tornado coming toward you paying no regard to life, destroying all in its path. Would it not be frightening? Standing there alone, unable to move due to terror as it rages toward you. Thus you must pay close heed to the wind element, though it has to power to be your friend and give you great strength in battle, when used incorrectly it will become your greatest foe. The wind will over power you and turn against you. You must have great discipline over yourself but also be flexible to necessary change if you ever want to become a true master of the Wind element, then to take it beyond.

To me, wind is the element of a warrior; you either live with wind or you die with wind. Have you have seen me use the Hurricane Fist technique to avoid attacks like all these people are doing nowadays? No. I prefer to take things head on. Wind isn't exactly an element that suits everyone, its song is sour and its taste is bitter. Mastering wind and implementing it in battle takes commitment and dedication. Sometimes it may be easier to simply use fire or water, but who wants to take the easy way out. Only one way works for me. The way of the silent predator, the roaring lion, the ghastly paladin. The way of the wind.

Yes, I have heard about the Method Training style Sensei. Naruto-senpai is currently using it to teach me Lightning. He did not exactly tell me that it was Lili-Chwan who created it. Thanks for telling me! I'll be sure to thank her for creating it.

Wow Sensei! Your Soliliquoy on Wind is amazing. It really made me appreciate the wind element. You must like it a lot!

Good. I don't know what methods Lili-Chwan uses but this is how I am splitting up the types of wind techniques.

1. Blunt Blasts
2. Slicing Gusts/Blades
3. Vortexes
4. Wind Streams
5. Taijutsu and Weapon Enhancing

I want you to start off by describing what you think each of those means. Anything you find important should be included. Compared and contrast, etc., do what you need to do, just make sure you give me a complete explanation of what you think each one is.

"Sensei, I think blunt blasts are wind projectiles that are built on pure physical damage and not cutting. They are formed by just pushing wind together and compressing it. This would be something such as a wind sphere that you shoot out of your mouth. I think that these are really useful because once you release the wind blunt blast you are free to do whatever else you want. One of the risks with this is that once you release the blast you cannot control it anymore so that means that it is aimed at one target. You are betting all the odds on it hitting. This means that some of the blunt wind blasts are really large like the one Kakuzu used against Kakashi. One reason for certain wind blunt blast techniques being so huge is that it would be very easy to avoid it if it cannot move once released so by making it really big there is a greater chance that it will hit. Blast blasts are meant to explode when they come into contact with something else and release a bunch of wind. The wind pressure would then have crushing effects on the things that are near.

Slicing gusts and blades I think are the opposite of blunt blasts. They would be made by making the wind as thin as possible into sheets or blades and bringing those together. One example of it would include that technique that the Sand ninja used called Wind Blade. In that technique he released a bunch of wind blades that formed a gust that slashes the leaf ninja. I think unlike the wind blunt blasts these are meant to be more compact and directed toward a single target. This is probably because the sharper things are the thinner they are. So having a very wide wind blade would not make it very sharp. I think these are also useful in the same way as blunt blasts because once you release the blades or gusts like projectiles you don't need to keep on keeping track of them. You are free to do what you want. But you cannot move them to different targets once they are released.

Vortexes would be formed by making the wind spin around itself like a cylinder. I think the big different between this and the first two methods that you stated was that I think you can control vortexes over a bigger area. This is because I think that vortexes have to be fueled constantly. This is kinda like a tornado where you create the tornado and it has to keep spinning. But I'm not too sure about this because there are some that I have seen in the anime that once you create it, it continues on its own, but then there are some that you have to focus on. I think these are useful because they can over more range and are more easy to manipulate that blasts or blades. For example you could cause the vortex to surround your body to protect you from things that are going to hit you. You could also use to uses as currents to carry you to different areas. I'm saying this because in video games and anime the people that are flying always have vortexes under their feet so that like that you could use it to move you.

I think wind streams are like a hose of water except with wind. I think it is a simplest but also one of the most versatile wind methods that you listed. This is because the same way you can move a hose to spray water at different location you can move the source of the wind for different locations. For example, so you were using wind from your mouth and it was a stream, and you were facing to the left. You could move your head to the right in order to move the direction of the wind stream. But I think it is also the most risky because when you are shooting water out of a hose you have to keep pressing the hose to keep the water coming out. Similar to that if you close your mouth then the wind can no longer come out. So you have to be completely focused on shooting out the wind stream until it ends. So you can do anything else that involves your mouth.

Taijutsu and Weapon Enhancing are similar to both the projectile and stream based methods. It is similar to the projectiles because you could surround your weapon with wind then throw it and it becomes a projectile so you don't need to keep track of it. So you can do other things after you throw it. But with Taijutsu enhancing you are using part of your body and you can't just throw part of your body. So you have to focus the wind chakra around your hand for example and you can't do anything with that hand until the finish whatever you wanted. But this gives your body a great amount of power where you can do many things that you could not normally. You can use your hand to cut through objects and pierce things it normally could not."

After talking for such a long time, Bell-kun sighs and waits for his Sensei's response.

Okay, that's pretty good. I'll go into more detail when necessary as we go through the steps and clear up any misconceptions. Lets start off with Blunt Blasts. Go through the Wind element for D-A rank (you can't learn S-rank, I checked to make sure), and find the techniques you believe fit into that category.

Bell-kun looks through the scroll of wind techniques from D-A rank and begins to write down the ones that fall into the category of Blunt Blasts. After he is done listing them, Bell-kun hands over the scroll to his Sensei.

(Fūton Kihon Jutsu) Wind Release Basic Technique
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: D-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.

(Fūton: Daitoppa) - Wind Release: Great Break Through
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

(Fūton: Gōkūhō) - Wind Release: Great Vacuum Cannon
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The users gathers his Fuuton chakra into the lungs to blow out a sphere of air at his target that can blow backwards the opponent and small objects around him.

(Fūton: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa) - Wind Style: Infinte Sand Great Break Through
Rank: B
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:20
Damage Points:40
Description: Originally Gaara's technique, for other characters the user will have to gather the dust or sand of the environment around him and then combine it with his elemental wind affinity. A large wind gust with dust or sand will get created capable to push away the opponent or medium sized objects.

(Fūton: Boufuu oonami no Jutsu ) - Wind Release: Gale Surge Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will create a large surge of wind that is capable of pushing a target back and dealing some small cuts to them. The wind technique is also strong enough to push back a large summoning creature.

(Fūton: Rasen Kazedan) - Wind Release: Spiralling Wind Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: This technique allows the user to breathe wind-infused chakra into the palm of their hand, shaping it into a small, whirlwind-like ball. Then the user will shoot it at their opponent. This technique seems to be very fast and powerful, as it is capable of smashing through thick rock. They can be launched in rapid succession.

(Fūton: Atsugai) - Wind Style: Pressure Damage
Rank: A
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost:30
Damage Points:60
Description: The user does the Ram handseal and inhales, kneading his chakra into his lungs, exhaling a huge blast of wind that levels anything in its path. Can cause major damage and requires a sufficient chakra level to perform. This large wind blast moves in tremendous speed and cannot be controlled. If the user gets caught in it, it will harm him also.

(Fūton: Shinkūgyoku) – Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Rat → Rabbit → Dog, the user takes a deep breath and exhales several small blasts of wind chakra.in such a manner that they are dispersed over an expansive range, enough to make it difficult to avoid them entirely without taking any damage. Due to the properties of this technique, the expelled blasts are capable of piercing into and potentially through an opponent's flesh when they collide, in a similar manner to how bullets function.

(Fūton: Renkuudan) - Wind Style: Drilling Wind Bullet
Rank: A
Type:Attack

Chakra Cost:30
Damage Points:60
Description: Originally Gaara's technique, different characters will need to perform handseals in order to imbue the large amount of chakra needed into thier lungs. The user will then pound thier stomach to increase the pressure as they release a huge spiraling sphere of wind, which is strong enough to do major damage to even a Summoning like Gamabunta.

( Futon: Shinkūdama ) - Wind Release: Vacuum Bullet
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description:The user will begin sucking in wind which results in drawing in opponents towards them and by kneading with their chakra in their mouth the user then releases the wind chakra in the form of a powerful bullet that blasts the opponent away.

Good. That list is pretty decent. Now try to tell me the fundamental difference between all of those techniques if they are all Blunt Blasts at their core. A few sentences to explain the similarities and a few sentences to explain the differences, then a few sentences to explain why one should be used over the others in certain situations should suffice.

"Sensei, the similarities are that they are all projectile-type blasts of compressed wind as the techniques say themselves. They are all focused on exploding and releasing crushing wind as you stated previously. Once they are released, you don't have to do anything to keep track of them so you are able to continue on with something else. The core principle is usually the same. The differences are very fundamental in that they are different ranges so I think they do different distances and they are difference sizes. Some of them requires different hand seals or more hand seals and also the power of them is also different. Some of them are shot out the mouth while others are shot out of the hand. I would use one over the other depending on what situation I'm in. If I'm in a tight space I'll use (Fūton: Rasen Kazedan) - Wind Release: Spiralling Wind Ball because it is a small and strong enough to break through rock, but if I'm in an open space I might use (Fūton: Atsugai) - Wind Style: Pressure Damage because it is large and has more chance to hit."

Now, okay. Instead of going through every single one of those techniques I'm going to only explain one technique that is representative of the entire method. You simply need to understand the basic difference between the techniques, the core is all the same. So if I tell you one how is performed, using everything that I've discussed and asked of you to this point, you should be able to infer on your own about the rest. No need to do anything drastic, ask questions if necessary.

After performing 5 hand seals the user moves wind chakra that was in their stomach to their mouth and releases it in a large explosive gust. The gust can be used to knock down physical targets or to blow away weapons or to add power to a fire technique. To defend against it simple use a fire technique of equal or stronger strength to over power it. Unless you are a wind specialist I would not use this technique due to the number of hand seals it requires which makes timing exploitable. I am a wind specialist but I feel that there are better techniques that this that do the same thing. This touches back on the concept of methods. There are other techniques within this method that can be used instead. But all in all, the concept is simply a blunt blast, or in this case, gust (doesn't really change anything) of wind.

"I think that Slicing Gust/Blades are the same as Blunt Blasts because they can't be changed once they are released. I think that they are also projectile based wind techniques. But the different is that these techniques are meant to cut so they are not as large as Blunt Blast techniques. Cutting results from pressure and the smaller and thinner blades are the more cutting power they have. So I think that Slicing Gust/Blades are a more concentrated and more precise form of wind projectiles that are used to affect specific spaces rather than the very large area that Blunt Blasts cover because they are so explosive. Slicing Gusts/Blades are supposed to be more fluid and elegant."

That's a decent answer. I can't really tell you upfront without some example techniques. So you know the drill, D-A rank wind techniques that fall into Slicing Gusts/Blades method.

(Fūton: Kazekiri) - Wind Style: Wind Cutter
Rank: C/B-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15/20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: User will create a slicing wind gust which is used to divide and neutralize a Wind attack launched against him. It splits an incoming wind attack of lower or equal strength and makes it harmless. Depending on the users skill with Wind release and the amount of chakra spent, the technique can vary in strength to suit the users needs. Bios with Wind as their main specialty can defend from up to B-Rank techniques

(Fūton: Kaze Shingai) - Wind Release: Wind Terror
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user unleashes a wave of wind that slashes at the opponent by swinging their hand or hands.

(Fūton: Kujaku Senpū) - Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then swings it to create a powerful whirlwind of sharp winds. The core skill behind the technique is the timing between channeling chakra into the sword and releasing it as the sword is swung.

(Fūton: Shinkūjin) - Wind Release: Vacuum Blade
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user exhales wind-infused chakra onto a weapon in order to increase its sharpness, range and lethality. For example, the user can infuse a kunai to resemble a makeshift scimitar or infuse shuriken to increase their range and cutting power.

(Fūton: Shinkūken) - Wind Release: Shock Blade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user swings their blade and a gust of wind is released in the arc that it was swung in. The technique is strong enough to stop projectiles that are thrown at the user.

(Fūton: Kaze No Yaiba) - Wind Style: Wind Blade
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: This technique is a pinpoint slashing strike, where the user emits chakra from their fingertips and materialises it into an near invisible weapon that assaults the enemy in a gust of wind. If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of small wind kunai, then this technique is akin to a virtually unavoidable longsword which can leave the target's body mutilated. Just being in close proximity to the technique can cause minor cuts. The wind blades can be created and thrown, like projectiles, in rapid succession, although in this case, each one weaker than the single use application. The technique cannot be blocked by physical weapons and is insanely fast by not relying on the use of Hand seals but, because it still requires the user to perform hand gestures to use and is somewhat visible in the effect it produces, it can still be defended against by using appropriate evasion techniques or fast elemental ninjutsu.

(Fūton: Shinkūha) – Wind Release: Vacuum Wave
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Rat → Snake → Horse → Dog, the user takes a deep breath and spins his body around while exhaling, compressing the released air into a solitary blade of wind that covers a substantial area around the user, due to their circular motion. The resulting sharpened blast is large enough to slice through multiple targets located a significant distance from the user, causing grievous injuries to those hit

(Fūton: Tsuyoi Kaze Nami) - Wind Release: Powerful Wind Wave
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short - Mid
