Shadow Jutsu? Mind Transfer Jutsu?

Ok I know that a shinobi is born with a different element ( 2 = kekkei genkai 3= kekkei tota) and they adapt their jutsus to suit that eg. Naruto's uses Wind Style so wind style - rassen shuriken or Sasuke uses fire style so - fire style - fireball jutsu etc. But how do Shikamaru's shadow jutsus work? Or Ino's mind transfer jutsu, Choji's expansion jutsu and kibas man beast clone work? You get the picture. I never really gave it too much thought until now so ...
(Btw I know Sasuke uses lighting style too)

The transformation of the Yin and Yang seemingly has to do with altering the amounts of and balance between spiritual and physical energy in chakra. As explained by Shikamaru Nara, Tayuya's spirit worms were forms of spiritual energy that have small amounts of physical energy, thus they require stability and feed upon the physical energy they lack. Shikamaru also mentioned that Tayuya was the same type of ninja as he is, being able to use such kinds of "special chakra" in battle, supporting the belief that the Nara clan's shadow-based techniques are also Yin and Yang-based.[8]

Shadows work by utilizing your chakra to manipulate the shadows in your vicinity and allowing them to perform other functions like killing, striking, or support.

Mind Transfer Jutsu is a bit iffy to me but probably works the same principle as Genjutsu. You transfer your "spiritual self" into someone's body and control them. However if the targets "Mental (spiritual) self" is stronger or more resilient then the technique will not work.

Choji's jutsu utilizes his chakra and in a way creates a synthetic skin that connects with the actual skin. In conjunction with the users own skin, it gives the appearance that the object is larger than they seem. It might work with allowing the cells to multiply at a faster rate and instead of growing up the are expanding to the sides.

Just my conjecture.
