Once they are made do they need to be micro managed remotely by the user. What i mean is does naruto have to subconsciously plan there movements or maintain a constant chakra control to keep them active?

He can deactivate them at any time, their time limit is dependant on how much chakra Naruto puts inside them. And i'm pretty sure they are just clone Naruto's, with the same personality as Naruto but can do as they please.

When they disperse, any knowledge they have discovered goes directly to Naruto.

Nah, they go on there own accord, unless Naruto makes them do otherwise.
