Remember how Naruto used shadow clone jutsu ( three of them ) in the frog mountain so he can use them to stay in sage mode longer when naruto fought pain?

Then a thought hit me:

What if , let's use kakashi as an example, what if kakashi used shadow clone justsu and kept it preserved before a battle? That way when he's running low on chakra, he can summon one of his clone justus and some, if not all, of his chakras will be restored.

Is this idea flawed? Is there a time limit to how long a shadow clone jutsu can stay? Would this tactic be effective or no?

I mean, think about it, if there's not time limit on how long a shadow clone can stay out, and combing chakras, it'd be a good tactic.

nah...because his chakra would be cut in half just to make the shadow clone..its better to just stay with his full amount of chakra.

this is true it only helped naruto because of the amount of chacara and the fact that it was also gathering chakara

No this would be a bad idea. Your chakra is split evenly among your clones. Even if the clone returned to you, you would have still spent chakra to create it. Hence when it returns you would gain nothing. The reason why Naruto's worked is because the clones were bringing back newly created chakra with it that was not present when it was made. So he was getting a return larger than he put in.

This. Kakashi doesn't have sage mode, so he wouldn't be gaining nature chakra. He'd just lose half of his chakra when he's low enough to begin with.

but, i thought when you join back with your clones, you get everything back. or is it just intelligence?

It's like someone said already, Kakashi's chakra would be cut in half so doing this would be at his disadvantage. Yeah sure he would gain the experience from the clone but both the original and the clone are limited in what they can do. For someone like Kakashi who has low chakra reserves compared to Naruto or Jiraiya then using shadow clones wouldn't really help at all.

The reason why Kakashi showed Naruto that way of training is because only someone like him, with large chakra reserves can acually do it.

Its kage bunshin nojutsu.kakashi use wooden clone.its hard 4 him to use more than that.if he finishes his chakra using moktun bunshino then he'd lose in battle but incase naruto his uzumaki lineage gives him more chakra flows that gives him more to learn abt the enemy and techniques.
