Naruto's entire life is like a plot hole. Which is why Kishi gives little to no info if he can avoid it. We rarely get to see his childhood anymore and for good reason... Kishi has no way of explaining how Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Hiruzen paid little to no attention to the kid.

It's sad, because in the way he avoids explaining Naruto's past, Naruto's actions in this series become more questionable.

Yea, its because he loves Sasuke more. If Sasuke had a new situation Kishi would do 50 chapters on something in Sasukes childhood.

Yeah, I've always wondered why the heck did not Iruka lived with Naruto, as his big bro or something. It's just not fair to leave the Fourth Hokage's son to be alone exactly as you said, even though I'm not sure that many of the Konoha members knew at the time the truth about Naruto's parents.
