Meh, Pokemon has gone downhill for a while now. The newer Pokemon designs were bad enough, but adding new types is eventually going to meet the same unresponsive fate.

I'll give them credit for trying to bring something new to the table, but they could have easily gone for something different such as allowing teams to perform certain collaboration moves (similar to advanced elements in Naruto), instead of a somewhat random type.

Its fitting. It doesn't have to be your favorite type, but we needed something to nerf dragons. And there are plenty of pokemon who fit the type.

Fairy Type pokemon actually makes sense. They're are already way too may pokemon considered to be Fairy Type pokemon anyways. It'd be nice to see Clefairy turn into a fairy type rather then it being a normal type. This might actually open up some effective strategies for once looked over pokemon.

Fairy Type!

It is super effective against Dragon Types, however it's weaknesses haven't been revealed yet.

The new Eevelution - Sylveon is indeed this type. They are also planning to change some of the typing of Pokemon from previous generations to this new type. Some of these Pokemon will be Gardevoir and Marill.

Honestly, I think this new Pokemon type is absolutely crap!

honestly its not that bad i would have preferred light type but now we have something that can super effect dragons so calm down they are no longer op and if your problem is because of the disney cartoons such as tinekrbell well then i kinda agree seems childish but you should remember who the games targeted at...

seriously whats wrong with fairy type i'm a guy and i still don't think its that bad besides tinnkerbell and disney crap fairys are dark, look up some fairy stuff you'd be surprised how dark it gets. and is everyone forgetting a certain awesome manga

A PILE OF EGGS! that becomes a tree with 3 heads O_O yeah they never were perfect accept it and either enjoy it or stop caring when i gave up pokemon for awhile i hated fifth gen ( but i didn't complain i just plain avoided pokemon) as well got back into it played it automatically fell back in lvoe with pokemon just stop being so judgemental and give it a chance

They have introduced a new Dragon Type as well. Nervion, the flying dragon pokemon. A new move for it was also made, its called BoomBurst
