I disagree, I don't feel like it's necessary for him to have more dialogue with Naruto.

We already know that he's proud of Naruto and that Naruto became the hero like in his novels.

Unlike Jiraiya, Minato never really got to meet Naruto and see him how he is now.

Nagato never got to see Naruto grow up and become stronger either.

Jiraiya already saw greatness in Naruto and knew the prophecy that befell him.

Basically this, and, since Obito was the only Naruto character afforded the right to force ghost abilities, Jiraiya's role in the story had already come to a (heartfelt and beautiful) conclusion.

Him and Naruto never did get a farewell. When was the last time Jiraiya and naruto saw each other? After the 4 tails arc?
