usually sequels fail to carry over the funk of the original. & I mean that in movies,videos, shows, etc. That's what I said about korra but I finally watched season 2,3,4 and adding that to the 1st season I must say I loved it. It had the funk for me and also it expanded on so much like the 1st avatar, spirits, and all that. & the themes became more mature without being ooc. It reminded me of shippuden a lot.
anyways, it was a good sequel! I also enjoyed shippuden as a sequel, tales of xillia 2, tales of symphonia dotnw(sorta), the toy story sequels, sword art online 2(mothers Rosario was an awkward arc to finish it with), I consider kill la kill as a style only sequel and tho it can't compare to gurren lagann, it had the funk and was decent.
