The trend of sequels falling short of their predecessors is strong.

Digimon 02 < Digimon Adventure

Dragon Ball GT < Dragon Ball & Z

Looking at the various Gundams, there are some greats that have been followed up by clunkers.

Double Zeta < Zeta, F91< Char's Counterattack, Seed Destiny < Seed, Double O S2 < Double O S1

Naruto Shipuuden < Naruto


The material we've seen for the Bortuo generation hasn't inspired much confidence. Is it DOA or will it turn things around and defy the trend?
