Sensing has a time limit when used in SM which is the only battle effective sensing. Not to mention sharingan does have a level of omnidirectional precog albeit not to Sm's level at the cost of no time limit. Sasuke and Itachi basically lived with 3t as their normal eyes. When's the last time the ever fought without it.

No you are way off. Current Naruto doesn't have a time-down period. He pretty much nailed it since BSM. Reflexes are natural and they get enhanced with Hermit mode. Hell even Kyuubi negative emotion sensing is way better than sharingan pre cog . Remember how Naruto dealt with 3rd Raikage where Sasuke could barely keep up with the 4th resorting to using Susanoo for protection and Enton manipulation. sensing doesnt have a time limit and like i said before, sharingan is only better when the target is in line of sight so:

for fast ninjas( faster than the user of sharingan/sensing), sensing is better
but tiajutsu ninjas( who arent faster than the user with legs), pre-cog is better...but i rather have sensing

It was stated SM has a time limit that varies.

Kabuto's SM has no time limit. He can passively absorb natural energy due to having juugo's cells.

Also both hashirama and naruto have been shown to last very long in SM, but they can also enter SM almost instantaneously.

To perfect sages like the above the time limit is hardly an issue.
