Talking about senpou mokuton...hashi is also a sage mode user judging by his handseal if u can see his hands were just like jiraya's in the battle against pein and his face markings also was like naruto's and jiraya's too but bit different...and about the summoning is soooo BADASS OverkillING!!OMG!!!

His sage mode is definatly not about frogs. It is either dragons or monkeys. Judging from his brothers student -Hiruzen- being taught by the Senju, can summon a monkey, the senju could probably summon him to.

Did they say during the fight? We have a flashback of a restrained kurama getting told by Hashirama. Then Mito comes into the equation.

But seriously unlike many people I'm actually happy to see a flashback within a flashback, as we get to learn a little bit more about Hashirama and Madara. Hopefully we'll learn who they were and we'll gain a little insight on why they became what they are today.
