Why would the juubi have the ability to destroy all ninjutsu if there was no ninjutsu to attack it? The sage didn't start teaching ninjutsu until AFTER he sealled the it correct?
Though I suppose the timeline is up to debate, it also doesn't mean the Sage DIDN'T have sage mode.
