I'm glad to elaborate more but couldn't the special genes and the ties they possess stem from the same cause? They both carry traits of thee 2 strongests characters that the Manga mentions, that being the Jubi and The SO6P. The Sage thought so far ahead that when he was in possession of The Jubi's chakra he set up so many "safeguards" the he could not fail, hence why he knew the Bijuu would recognize his successor. Even after thousands(?) of years of hope , hate, and being products for destruction they recognize this teenager. The stronger The Jubi gets the equally The Sage does, Newtons 3rd law, ying-yang.
Obito and Madara are dreamers (literally), that can't handle hardships, for real. Senju and Uchiha, Curse and Will, the conflicts were unavoidable, The Sage knew this so he entangled them together with safeguards to eventually work together. You could say Naruto himself is the ultimate safeguard to the purpose of unity, that's what true power is.
Like Naruto said, they are not creating their own path but instead trying to walk down The Sage's while manipulating everyone else's. Madara simply can't except this world, hell, a product of The Sage might appear when Madara activates MEP or becoming complete, knowing The Jubi's influence is ultimately behind the matter. Again, a safeguard/fail safe.
