It makes sense so yeah, I do believe in it. Only there is a lot less chance to get it if it's not indra+asura reincarnations. The way I see it, every Uchiha, as an Indra succesor carries a bit of his chakra and genes, and the same applies to the Senju and Asura. So mixing the 2 may result in the rinnegan, but the chances are very slim

Cause Obito had Uchiha DNA and Senju. It should have never been believed that these two combined lead to the Rinnegan because Obito fit that description but didn't unlock the Rinnegan. Just saying that he's proof that this theory could have never been true. Though I don't blame people for thinking it before because it was before we learned about the reincarnations and Ashura's and Indra's chakra.
