The bloodlines were obviously not that distant. Even Hashirama married Mito Uzumaki.

Senju do not have any distinguishing features to tell them apart like the sharingan or byakugan so it was inevitable that the clan would have mixed into other clans and dropped their last names. Unless you think the Uchiha interbreed, it's the same thing with them, except that they have their sharingan.

Naruto and Nagato are confirmed in canon to be of the Senju bloodline. This isn't up for debate.

Uchiha interbreeding is irrelevant. Hyuga are related to Uchiha as well, that doesn't mean Neji can be called an Uchiha. Naruto is an Uzumaki, that's that.

There wouldn't be any Edo, FTG without Tobirama, there wouldn't be any Medical Nin without Tsunade, Madara, Obito wouldn't have gotten as far as they gotten without Senju DNA, aka Hashi's cell. You're too hung up on kekkia genkai, in which Senju didn't really have to rely on it to become strong, their physical prowess was that of a kekkai genkai.

lmaooooooooo...obito is dead. but like i saidthe sample size for your analysis is too small. you're using five names and equating them to an entire clan. take a step baack out of your narrow analysis and consider this. uchiha and senju fought each other for years before hashi and madara came of age. The result of that was constant war which is essentially a stalemate. Fast forward when both came of age.The senju clan gained superiority. The fodder you claim are superior to senju fodder surrendered to the clan and even defected to the senju clan form the uchiha clan. Fast forward again. the senju clan took their superior genes and bred with other clans expanding other clans power and the villages overall power. Starting with mito and hashi. while the uchiha clan held their grudges and closed themselve off and inbred lol jk. but ultimately. The uchiha clan imploded.based on basic war tactic and skill senju are superior. Interms of longevity though they are no longer a close knit clan the blood still exists in the village. uchia are dead outside of sasuke. but you get my point. That scan you provided says the Uzumaki are distant relatives of the Senju, not Senju themselves. Add to that the fact that Naruto is only half Uzumaki. Now top it all off with the fact that Naruto was only named "Uzumaki" so that it wouldn't be known he's the son of Minato Namikaze. You've basically got the farthest thing from a Senju you could get, right after non-Senjus.

Counting Naruto towards the Senjus is pretty much clutching at straws, how does a completely separate clan equal Senju, anyway? Nagato, Karin and Kushina are whatever, anyway. They're good shinobi, but nowhere near the level of Uchihas.

Hashirama is indeed the pinnacle of the Senju, but he's still easily in Top 10, so does it matter?
