Senju and the sage

Alright guys, we all know the senju and uchiha descend from the sage of six paths , hagoromo otsutsuki.
We also know that he had two children Ashura and Indra. The senju clan descending from ashura and the uchiha from Indra.
Now we already know that the uchiha have been blessed with the powerful chakra and the visual prowess and the senju got his body
And again we also know of combine the two chakra of ashura and Indra you get the sages power so to the my point
Now do you all believe that a senju could get the rinnegan?
For example what if hashirama was going for the rinnegan instead of madara
What awakens the sharingan is the Uchihas own chakra it's affects the optic nerves so if you were to combine it to a senju would you think he would awaken the rinnegan

Hashirama would need some of that Uchiha DNA in order to awaken rinnegan

It probably could work. As Tobirama stated, when an Uchiha suffers from trauma powerful enough, his brain sprouts a powerful chakra which affects the eyes and along with it unlocks techniques (Susanoo, Amaterasu, Izanagi, Izanami, etc). This chakra doesn't necessarily have to be sprouted from the brain though, it just requires the chakra to be implanted into the eyes. If you were to take the pure chakra of an Uchiha and put it directly into your eyes you could theoretically acquire the Sharingan.

Furthermore, if you were able to take Indra's chakra and Ashura's chakra and respectively put those chakra's into your eyes and body, you could unlock the Rinnegan. Anyone could unlock the Rinnegan provided they have Indra and Ashura's chakra.
