Honestly Nobody gives a care in the world if you believe in God or not. Really we dont.
This thread was meant to send out prayers or Condolences. Every single one of you guys who posted "What is prayer" going to do was being a smart ass, knowing A GOD fearing man will say prayer while other says my condolences. Its truly pathetic the amount of spam im seeing. If you dont believe in prayer or even give your sympathy to the Philippians. then GTFO. Plain and simple. Just trying to post your post count.

He didn't have to beg the to pray, I doubt any of this would have started if he didn't. He could have simply said keep them in your prayers and if not keep them on your thoughts.

I cant believe this thread turned out this way simply because I said to pray. and someone here asked me if I was in their situation would I want them to pray for me. YES I WOULD IDIOT!!

Those people have NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD RIGHT NOW! Can you image what they are dealing with? Knowing in your heart, that people are thinking about you, and that you are NOT alone, does help people make it through tough times. Man, I really feel bad for some of you. And besides the only way that they know we care for them is when people send stuff over as we said, unless someones going to be cruel enough to send a delivery of prayers writen down, which if you ask me would be cruel as hell, opening a delivery just to find a bunch of prayers XD

Prayer, wish, dream, imagine.. nothing really different about these words. For the non-religious people who don't want to pray, we can spread the word, send food, send first aid, or just send cash. There's always an alternative way to contribute.

no one attacked him. He came at me and all I did was suggest he should try getting people to help them instead of praying. I didnt even bash him, just stated something

Though I do sincerely apologize if I made someone feel as if I was bashing their beliefs. That wasnt what I was trying to do. Id just like to see people actually help. Even the bible teaches that god wont do everything for you, that you must put in an effort.

I don't believe much in GOD either so if you don't wanna pray you don't do it . You can just help create awareness and hope that a lot of people come forward and try to donate to help rebuild Philippines .
If praying doesn't do anything then not giving a **** also doesn't do anything .
You don't have to be a believer or an atheist but at least do the right that as a human .
So instead of telling people to pray or to stop praying , just create awareness and help in the donations .

Some of you may not believe in God and praying, but I do, and I know it does help. Your words, thoughts affect the universe and people around you. And by praying for someone else, you are invoking divine favor unto someone else.

I understand that it was all for a good cause but avoid pushing and trying to include who do not believe in god or prayers. It's pointless. You could get more empathy by discussing the amount of destruction and locals ability to cope with it in terms of resources and as such rather than that. Someone somewhere may have a will and capacity to help out you know.
