I've always been wondering, why do some people only read the parts of the manga they want, why do they only take the things they like as manga facts?

Many people tend to believe in hyperboles like Maddie's Susanoo being able to destroy all creation for example. Yet they deny the fact that it's been clearly pointed out that EMS Sasuke has more potential than EMS Maddie, and therefore, any version of Sasuke that has the same eyes and Maddie has more potential, claiming that Oro doesn't know EMS Maddie's powers and stuff. Do those guys believe Maddie tried to destroy every creation in order to be able to make such a statement? If that was true the NV would be a blank white panel right now.

People read the manga bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "facts". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts... their "facts" may all be an illusion.

Can we consider them to simply be reading the manga, shaped by their beliefs?
