PROLOGUE

A red car sped through the darkness on a slick highway as the stereo blasted Rihanna's Disturbia.
'Hoooooooooooooo! Yeeeeaaah!' Shane screamed at the top of his voice before downing another gulp of vodka. His upper torso poking out the roof of the car. He inhaled the sharp breeze hitting his face.
'You better get down from there before you puke on your face, *******.' a girl casually told him from inside the car.
'Better he pukes out there than in here right, Cassie?' the guy driving the car noted with a chuckle to the girl at the back seat.
'Touché.' the one on the passenger's seat said. They were speeding at 90km/h at night on the highway.
'I AM INVISIBLE!!!!' Shane shouted at the top of his lungs.
'It's invincible, you idiot.' Cassandra corrected jokingly.
'Yep, he's drunk.' the dude at the passenger's seat said bluntly and the rest of the chuckled.
'Dad is soooo gonna kill us, Marc.' Cassandra told the guy driving
'Don't worry lil' sis, it’s myyyy....' Marcos said as if he was waiting for something, he and the guy beside him shouted 'BIRTHDAAAAAY!!!!!!' simultaneously.
'Twin sister. And OUR birthday.'
'Speaking of....why isn't Heather here?'
'Because she had to finish some gibberish home work. I know, lame.'
Shane then came back into the car and closed the roof-glass.
'Hey Mr. Bean, seems you're having quite the night.' the boy at the passenger's seat said as he turned back to look at a disoriented Shane.
'Shut up Drew. Go screw yourself.' Shane replied with a smile, he then looked nauseous. Cassie, knowing what was gonna happen, quickly gave him a hat which he puked on.
'Ugh! Grrroooooossss!' Drew said and blocked his nose with the back of his hand.
'Is he vomiting?' Marcos said enthusiastically and turned around to see for himself.
'MARC!! WATCH OUT!'

CHAPTER ONE
3 years later...
'Hi, I'm Marcos Keane. Three years ago I....did something....something bad. I'm not a bad person, I just did a bad thing...and I'm having trouble dealing with the guilt.'
'Welcome Marcos.' everyone said and Marcos sat down.
'You're welcome Marcos. Whenever you're ready to talk about what happened, we're here for you.' the leader said and everyone else nodded in agreement.
'That's what AA meetings are for, letting go of burdens, overcoming addictions.' he further explained, Marcos just nodded silently.

The meeting was done and Marcos began walking home when a hand stopped him. He turned and saw a dark-haired girl smiling at him.
'You dropped this when you got up from your seat.' she said and gave him a coin. He kept on looking at the coin intensely and she noticed this.
'Are you okay? You seem...off.' she asked cautiously.
'Yeah, I'm fine.' he said after snapping out of it. He took the coin from her hand and put it back in his pocket.
'Thanks....uhhh'
'Rachel.' she completed the sentence for him with her name.
'Rachel. I'm Marcos but you can just call me Marc.' he introduced himself while shaking her hand, but his face remained cold.
'Nice too meet you, Marc. I'm new here, just moved from-'
'Yeah I figured. Haven't seen you here before. Sorry, but I have to go. Thanks again for the coin.' He quickly interrupted and walked away.
As he walked home via the sidewalk, he remembered his mother's voice volunteering to pick him up since he didn't want to drive...ever again. He couldn't even fathom being inside a car anymore. On the bright side, these walks help him clear his head. Dad forced him to go to the AA meetings 'cos he was getting 'too detached from humanity'.
'Like the last seven shrinks helped me right.' he thought to himself.
He stopped. Something was familiar...that voice. He turned in disbelief, like he knew what he was going to see but didn't still believe it.
'The Stones...' was all he could mutter as he stared at Mr. Matthias Stone ordering people who were packing stuff from a truck into the Stones' former mansion.
'...they're back.' Marc said, a stern look now plastered on his face. He immediately looked up and there he was, Andrew Stone. The two boys stared at each other for a while, Drew from his opened window and Marc from the sidewalk. Drew's green orbs piercing into Marc's brown eyes and vice-versa.
Then Marc turned away, put his arms in his pocket and walked away. Drew kept on looking at the former friend he had not seen in over 2 years.
'KPASH!' he had unconsciously been squeezing on the glass he held until it broke and the water poured to the ground. His hand was slightly bleeding and well wet but he didn't care.
Marcos reached home and called out for anyone. His mother equally responded that she was in the kitchen.
'Welcome Marcos, how w-'
'Mum, did you know The Stones were back?' he went straight to the point as he entered the kitchen. His mother instantly cut herself accidentally.
'Ow!' she wailed silently and began washing her finger.
'I see you're a little rattled, which means you didn't know.' Marc noted, he went to the fridge to get something to eat.
'They're back? That's good.' she said, trying to feign indifference.
'Going on to more relevant topics...have you seen your sister?' his mum asked, by now her bleeding had stopped and she had sat down on a chair.
'No, not since last night.'
'Well me neither.'
'Maybe she's avoiding you.' his mum tilted her head to the side and looked at him sternly, her not so subtle way of telling someone she didn't appreciate what they said.
'What? It's the truth.' he said and put his hands in the air, she stood up and walked towards him.
'Let's not forget that she hates you more than me.' She said calmly and he instantaneously became serious.
'Yeah...I'm going up.'
'Wait, Marcos I'm sorry.' she tried to apologise but he was already on the stairs and a few seconds later in his room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shane sucked her lower lip and ran his tongue down to her neck while she moaned accordingly. He grabbed her ass as they made out on the sofa. He couldn't care less who the party was for. He heard it was Ryan Craft's party, and since there was alcohol and chicks he couldn't pass that up. He was still 'busy' when a blonde guy ran towards him.
'Dude! Dude you're not gonna believe this!' he stated frantically. Shane signaled for the girl to get lost and she obliged. He frowned at the person before him.
'Cage, d'hell is wrong with you? I was busy. This better be good.' Shane said, clearly annoyed, and sat up well.
'Dude, it is!' he said seriously but also in an excited manner. He moved his face closer to Shane so he could hear what he was about to say, notwithstanding the party music.
'Andrew Stone has returned to Ferrow Grove. His mum's dead and I think it was her dying bullshit or whatever to be buried here.'
Everything Cage said after that was unacknowledged by Shane. The memories began flooding back, he could hear it all over again. He grabbed the sofa hard and tried to cool himself down.
'Shane? Shane. Shane! You there man?!' Shane finally got ahold of himself and began looking around like he didn't know where he was. Cage then waved a hand just in front of his face flippantly to see if he was still 'okay'.
'Thanks for the info man' he remarked before standing up and leaving. He went to the bathroom to clear his head only to find a couple making out.
'Get the hell o-...Cassie?!' Shane was shocked to see Cassandra making out with some who-knows in the male bathroom. She turned and looked at him, her dirty-blonde hair shooting in so many places and her mascara had been spoiled, so he knew she had been crying. She proceeded to continue what she was doing before Shane barged in but the guy she was making out with was just staring at Shane.
'Get. Lost. Now.' he said beneath his teeth and the guy quickly ran away. He turned to look at her and she frowned. Initially, he was mad at her...but after a few seconds she could see a hint of sadness and guilt in his eyes.
'Don't...Don't y-you dare...f-f-feel sorry for Me.' she slurred.
'I'm taking you home.' Shane said bluntly.
'Therrrris no way in h-hell I'm letting you do that!' Cassie screamed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Just so you know, *******...I let you drive me home because I wanted to, not because you threw me over your shoulder.' she said defiantly, Shane just scoffed and smiled.
'You shouldn't even be driving me! You drank alcohol too!' It was clear that she was still very drunk. He himself also took a couple of shots but he was barely buzzed so he was in an okay condition to drive.
'Give me the wheeeeel! I should drive!!!!!' she exclaimed and held the steering prior to her fighting for it with Shane. The car swerved and swerved before Shane hit the brakes.
'Are you ****ing insane?! Have you not learnt anything since...?’ Shane was clearly fuming now and Cassie was stunned at herself for what she did.
'I-I-I'm sorry.'
'You need to get a handle on things. You weren't the only ****ing one affected that night Cassie!'
'I said I'm sorry okay!'
Shane started the car and drove off. A few minutes later they were at the Keane Estate. Shane was allowed in and he helped Cassie to the door. A few seconds after knocking Marc opened the door and was shocked to see Shane.
His shock immediately turned to anger and Shane quickly knew what he was thinking.
'Dude, I didn't make her party or take advantage of her in any way so get that outta your mind.' he said angrily but they both kept staring at themselves. Cassie then woke up from her brief nap and Marcos took her from Shane. A car then came in from the gate and pulled over just in front of the house, and from the car came forth Mr. Matthias Stone. For a rich man he always looked scrawny and unkempt, like the stubble on his face. But that was part of his charm. He walked over to where the 3 teenagers were and it was clear he did not like them.
'Marcos, how've you been?'
'Fine Mr. Stone'
'Is your mother at home? I would like to give her something.'
'Yeah, please come in.'
'Nope. I'd rather wait for her here.' it was clear he didn't wanna enter in order to avoid Ronald. Marc took his sister and went into the house. A few seconds later his mother opened the door and was shocked to see Matthias and Shane at the door.
'Shane, what a pleasant surprise.' she said and he could hear the sarcasm in her voice.
'Matt, I heard you were back. What are you doing here?'
'Mary, I came to invite you to Ella's funeral service.'
She couldn't believe it. She put her hands on her mouth and Shane, who already knew, offered his condolences to Mr. Stone.
'Thank you Shane. Just came from your family's manor, you and your family are invited also.'
'Oh my God, Matt...I'm so sorry.' She seemed confused as to whether to hug him or not and both he and Shane noticed this.
'It's okay. I just came here to invite you and Ronald. I'll take my leave now.' he said with brevity and briskly walked towards his car before speeding off. Shane looked awkwardly at Mrs. Keane who just looked at him sternly as if waiting for him to leave.
'So...I'm gonnnnnaaa....go.'
'Good idea.' she said and shut the door in his face. He then got into his car and left also.

That's it. I would like you to please give me your honest opinions
