but when she's surrounded by people, she's talking to them, and I hate to try to talk to someone as they're talking to someone else; i just can't do it.

Do something stupid like sending her a love note or something like that,
keep her interested, send her flores and chocolate. All this without her knowing that is you. Then when she desperately falls in love with you, ask her out and met her in the beach in the sunset, the run at her and hug her.

I saw it in a movie, so I know it works

That's what I'm best at. xd But seriously, this sounds like something I might do, mostly because of the anonymity. I'm less likely to do something like that, though. But, if by some small chance, I do this, and she does fall in love with me, I'd think of something. Maybe.
And if it's in a movie, it MUST work. After that, I'm gunna bend backwards in slow-motion to avoid bullets, vist someone's dreams, and kill Voldemort!

I then took a Shit in his postbox.
