I hv been seeing many arguments that which type of dojutsu is better sharingan or rinnegan...time to clear this.a rikodu sennin like madara who awakened rinnegan from EMS can use both the 7th paths & also the jutsu of mangekeyo like sushano.But Hagoromoro who born with rinnegan can also uses the sharingan powers..as obito said before that he is the person who invented Izanagi to make the imagination into reality & thus he divided the jubi's chakra & mixing of yin & yang he made 9 biju & gives em life force...he used Izanagi but didn't lose his eye power though a ordinary MS/EMS user if uses izangi he will become blind.not only that by using rinnegan one can revive someone from the dead in exchange of his life but his rinnegan wont destroy like Nagato did...so it's clear Rinnegan has all the sharingan capability plus god like ability so without any doubt rinnegan is the mother of sharingan!

I don't believe we've seen the full capabilities of the Rinnegan yet, thus I don't believe it would be fair for me to judge yet.

Furthermore, Kaguya possessed that nine tomoe sharingan she mixed with the byakugan. Both appear to have existed before the Rinnegan and we know little about their combined powers or the nine tomoe sharingan's separate powers.

Not all rinnegan users have sharingan techs. Such as Nagato. Where did it say the sage used Inzanagi to create the tailed beasts? Scan please.

Skygod the sharingan with 9 tomoe of jubi or kagayu is only awaken by eating the fruit of shenzu...thats nit youe regular eye that's the additional 3rd eye by which u can directly cast unlimited tsukiyomi & you won't need shenzu tree...i am talking about 3 types of doujutsu the rinnegan, sharingan & byakugan...this 3 are the basis of discussions...though i wanna see madara possess the 3rd eye by eating the fruit!

What he meant to say was Izanagi is a variant of Hagoromo's onmyouton release. The Yin-Yang release in it's purest form that could manipulate reality, created the bijuus and can erase all chakra- based jutsus. It's a doujutsu that requires both senju and uchiha chakra and dna.

They aren't the same thing dude. One is a pseudo variant of the original and a one time doujutsu genjutsu you cast on yourself to reject reality. The other is an elemental release with no limits that creates and erases.
