Minato was mastering yin/yang release and manipulation. He was able to break down the SO6P; strongest creation the 9 tails, into its yin/yang parts and only sealing the yang inside Naruto!
Minato was a yin/yang master and second to only the SO6P, even the 9 tails fox mentions, how advanced Minato' chakra manipulation and control was!
