Second Hokage killed by Kinkaku?

I was watching episode 270-Golden Bonds and when Shikamuru, Ino, and Choji are told they are going to fight Kinkaku, Shikamuru says 'He's the one who killed the Second Hokage'.

Might just be a translation error but just thought I would ask what the base thinks.

i remember that second hokage and raikage were ambushed by the gold and silver brothers during a peace conference and were left near death. they were not killed by them. second hokage died in an effort to allow third hokage, danzo and some other fodder to escape 20 elite shinobi

And I'll add on he was seemingly tired from previous fighting, and then had to fight with his hands tied because he had to distract and contain 20 people...Kinkaku and Ginkaku were both very strong (very underrated) so I'd only assume the other 29 were around Kakashi or Darui's level as those cocky brothers wouldn't let fodder hang with them.

Read the manga he died sacrificing himself for his students and got killed by a squad of 20 elite ninjas from kumo
