Second Hokage and Third Raikage's Sacrifices

The 2nd hokage made a sacrifice to be the decoy for his team to escape since apparently they felt that the tobirama, soon to be third hokage hiruzen, danzo,a sharingan there were all not strong enough to fight the gingaku squad. He lost his life there and it is most likely true that the gold and silver brothers played a huge role in it.

Then you have the third raikage who sacrificed himself to let his team escape to face 10,000 enemies for thee days and three nights. He died of exhaustion. He may not have fought the brothers but considering the raikage's op offense and defense these two have no chance anyway.

Therefore, is the third raikage not greater than the second hokage?

in terms of power level, yes hes far above the second. but in terms of bravery and being a real shinobi, they are equal. sacrificing your life for your comrades is always gonna be more noble than murdering your family for your government or corrupting innocent kids.

they said elite ninja not s-rank that may be an assumption your making and yes these two were super strong but sadly the trio and darui beat them even if because of plot or what not.

True but if we assume that they weren't there that would make second hokage's death a lot less meaningful

Why does that lead you to the 3rd Raikage's superiority? Rationally thinking, it shows equality, rather than superiority, right?

Well it's also to believe that the third died of exhaustion not because someone actually killed him. Thus far, I can't see the second rocking the third raikage.

It WAS Kin and Gin, Kakuzu and other S-rank ninja.. elite ninja aren't D-Rank last time I checked..

No one ever said kakuzu was a part of it and ok but that's only the brothers we can't assume the elite ninjas were s-rank as it is most if not all s-rank are either kages or missing-nin akatuski kage levels. To think we have an entire force of elite kage level ninjas at s-rank....

He specifically states that it is due to the fact that he was brought back at virtually full power now that he is able to move. Did you read?
