Searching for specific anime

Hello everyone. I want to make an amv but can't find an anime that would fit what I need. Basically I need a shonen anime with an established already (or during the show but finished in the middle of it, like for example SAO) relationship between a guy and a girl. The guy needs to have a "dark side" that he may not like but cannot control and only the girl can act as a temporary getaway from that. Does anyone know if something like this exists? Would appreciate any suggestions.
