That's what I assumed it was since Rasengan doesn't use any seals. :dunno:

There was a seal, and I believe this seal is used for releasing a large amount of chakra. If I am wrong, then it is certainly a collaboration seal to link the two as it seems that the Rasenchuriken was being used as a device to take them higher like an helicopter. Or we will see.

maybe FRS needs handseals because it requires the user insert wind in it.

I mean, when people use elemental ninjutsu , then they require handseals. Rasengan is just pure chakra but if we talk about FRS, it is not pure chakra , it has wind element in it, so maybe it require handseals ...
Was is stated in the manga that FRS don't need handseals ?
