Currently dated imo. with reasons.
ALIVE:
*note*- Edos do not even count. even Minato, Hashirama, tobirama, and Sarutobi
1.Madara:- Since his revival from death had a occurred he is surely, with his Rinnegan #1 and to keep up with hashirama is entirely its own.
2.Juubito/Obito: - his S/T technique that lets him enter the Kamui world upon being hit makes him the 2nd spot material. his defense is also a good offense. also his downfall. but the only way to damage him S/T techniques. as seen with Minato and kakashi.
3.BSM Naruto/naruto: - Regardless which form he is his chakra included with the 9 tailed beasts is extra-ordinary. he is currently one of the fastest shinobi in the world amongst his father minato. and his sage mode to be able to do to the 3rd raikage that thousands of shinobis to do couldn't. even though he's the main character he still has his moments.
4.8tails/Killer Bee: - His ability to hone the 8 tails powers and use them to even decoy the most effect eyes the sharingan is a good feat. also able to take on team taka by himself and to come close to hitting minato at such a young age.
5. Snake Kabuto: - To face Sasuke and limited time Edo itachi by himself before being taken out is a good feat. even though he is in a unconscious slumber. without itachi's help sasuke would have been finished and plot-shielded to stay alive for the future. with the lack of screen time in this form. he has a lot of potential to be top 5 material. (I hate him myself since the invasion but can't deny the potential) with his medical ability's, the body enhancements he learned from orochimaru he has potential to even surpass orochimaru in certain aspects.
6.Sasuke: - after Madara, Obito I believe he is the 3rd strongest uchiha alive. even though Itachi his brother could have easily beaten him without his illness there is no doubt Sasuke would pass his brother and with the current quote "sasuke has the capabilities to surpass madara" from certain people.
7.Ay - the current strongest Gokage that could cause a lot of problems to other villages respectively. his Speed Rivals Minato and Naruto and his Strength rivals Tsunade in comparison and the son of the 3rd raikage who took on thousands of shinobis for days.
8.Orochimaru: - with his endless amount of jutsu's he has learned, encountered and his feats of training students with high tech abilities and strengths he himself has been an unkillable character. his feats of using the 2nds edo tensei jutsu, killing his sensei the 3rd hokage. he alone deserves a top 10 spot. because well. he's a snake, and always finds a way to the top.
9.Tsunade:- don't get me wrong being part Senju/Uzumaki the granddaughter of the 1st. her Medical abilitys, strength to be rivaled to ay, taijutsu is pretty outstanding as a medical ninja. to be able to last as long near death as she could proves that she could outlast a lot with her Yin Seal abilities. that took on Edo Madara single handed with the help of the other gokages. to helping the Shinobi alliance with sakura summoning 1/10 of Katsuya due to the yin seal which nobody else can do.
10. Kakashi/Gaara/oonoki: - these 3 would be the ones to watch for 10th. Gaara: being the previous tailed beast jin has excelled a lot. his ultimate defense still has yet to be taken down in my opinion. to be able to create light/heavy sand whenever possible with using the earth as its container he has unlimited sand.(except mountain ranges imo, sea has something) Kakashi: thanks to his friend Obito, his Sharingan's power Kamui is impressive. but he has limited amount of shots and even so it takes time to use which creates an opening for anyone. the sharingan may help and may be his downfall with his chakra reserves. but this copycat ninja surely is one formidable foe to come against. Oonoki: - this old bagger may look weak due to his old age. including his back. but his particle style, and making things lighter then what they were are great. including the feat of Facing madara twice in his lifetime (I believe) is a major feat even to live to talk about it.

I know I'm gonna get hate for putting some people on there. but you have to look at details of everything.
this in my book is how I see the top 10 as it stand currently speaking.
