Sealing of the nine tails.

I'm just wondering because the fourth hokage sealed approximately half of the nine-tails then what would have happened if the third sealed away the other half?

Nine Tails will be completely sealed. Half of kurama's power is kicking five tailed beast asses. Imagine him with it's full power. Overkill.
