Seal Release

From what I understand, the Reaper Death Seal is the strongest seal there is, and the only seal I know of that has been released. As far as I know, none of the "normal" seals, some of the ones they've used on all the edos, have ever shown to be released. My question is, if the strongest can be released, and someone knows how release it, then shouldn't it be somewhat common knowledge how to release regular seals? I don't mean everyone should know, but if someone can find out about the RDS, then why not other seals? Then, they could release all the edos, and Kabuto would be back in control.

Well ... technically yes, there should probably be a way to unseal the Edo's.

That said, Kabuto already lost control over them and the sealed Edo's were released back to Naruto-Heaven

Yes I believe the normal/weaker seals can be released; however, it most likely has to be done by an outside individual, and not the one who is sealed.

For instance, Muu was unable to remove his own seal. This either means that those sealed inside cannot remove the seal, or Muu himself was too weakened in his body split state to remove it (via jutsu...or maybee even physical strength).

Every jutsu has a weakness as stated by Itachi. Every seal has a weakness because they are also jutsu. In order to do this, one would need indepth knowledge of said seal as shown by Orochimaru.

Every seal can be undone. For example, Orochimaru place a seal called Evil-Suppressor on Naruto's 8-trigram seal and it has been undone by Jiraja. Narutos 8-trigram seal as well could be undone via the key Minato left behind. There should be more examples to find...

I'd even say that the seals used on the edo-tensei bodys were pretty simple ones and can be easily removed, since they were created in pretty much no time and didnt take much to execute them.

I wish they did more with seal release, and went more in depth into it in the series.

I feel it isn't that the weaker seals can't be released, but releasing them served no major plot development. Furthermore Orochimaru only released the Reaper Death Seal after years of study due to the fact he lost his arms to it. I feel it is also fair to assume since the Uzumakis were experts at Fuinjutsu they would be equaly adept at removing them, especially a seal of their own design as powerful as RDS.

Well, yes, but if their seals are broken again now, their soul will just be released, since edo tensei, has been released from Kabuto's power. And then he would need several new bodies (though there are enough on the battlefields), and DNA. We don't know if he is wandering around with the DNA. It would appear as if he had already done the jutsu, and all the pawns he used in the war, before he even approached Tobi. I believe he hid all the DNA he gathered (especially Madara's) somewhere safe.
