Screw Up in the New Chapter?

In the new chapter (619) we see Hashirama talking about how he spoiled Tsunade and how he taught her how to "gamble".

Well, I seriously doubt that Hashirama ever met Tsunade let alone live long enough to teach her how to gamble.

The reason I say this is because we saw how young Hiruzen was when he was appointed Hokage:

He was in a range between 15 - 20 years old, and that is when Tobirama died. And keep in mind that Tobirama's reign couldn't have been that short since in his time as Hokage he created the Ninja Academy and The Police Force. And since Tsunade was 51 at the beginning of the series, we can infer that she couldn't have been older than 2 years old when Hiruzen became Hokage. Because 69 (Hiruzen's age) - 51 (Tsunade's age) = 18.

So Tsunade was =< 2 when Tobirama died.

So even if Tobirama had a reign of less than a year it wouldn't make sense.

I know that this isn't that huge to the story or anything, and I actually found it kind of cute, but this proves that Kishi is really careless regarding the timeline. The timeline hasn't made sense for a while now.​

Nah, it makes perfect sense. Tsunade looked like she was maybe 4 or 5 years old there. Nothing wrong here.

I would say that Tobirama and Hiruzen were older than you think in that manga scan.

Also, we don't know if Hiruzen taught the Sannin before or after he became Hokage.

hiruzen's age range of 15-20 could be extend to 20-30 you know......i dont think you can just judge a person's age by his looks.....if so..tsunade's hot boobs alone would make her like 20-ish?

I think people assume that you have to be in your 60's to have grandkids or something. You can easily be a grandfather in your 40's. How? You have children @ 20 years old. They have children @ 20 year's old. You are now 40 with a grandkid. :|

and if you assume Hiruzen was turning 70 the year he died , then it would actually make perfect sense

if its in the manga its true , I don't think there would be a screw up like that

- Considering that Hashirama and Tobirama were about the same age, I think it's safe to say that Tobirama's reign was in fact very short. Don't forget that he could've had plenty of ideas before he became hokage.

No, but you missed my point. Hiruzen obviously raised the Sannin after becoming Hokage. Tsunade is, what, 13 or so in that picture? So she could easily have been a toddler when Hashirama was around.

I agree with those saying Tobirama had a short "reign" as Hokage.

The Sannins were 51 back in Part 1 and Hiruzen was 68. So, 68-51 = 17. That means that Hiruzen was 17 when the Sannins were born. He trained them when they were 6."

Alright, so when Hiruzen was 21, the Sannins were 4. Hashirama knows Tsunade around 2. He dies. Tobirama becomes Hokage but again dies shortly thereafter (after a year or so as Hokage, plenty of time to do all that we know he did). Hiruzen raises Sannin after becoming Hokage :|

Hiruzen being 15 - 20 at that point is merely an assumption.
