Not bad. Now, using this method I want you to try and use your chakra to do the following tasks:

-Spit mud balls at fast succession
-Spit mud into the ground where it will then harden and grow into a large wall of rock.
-Spit a mud ball that hardens into a rock to hit a target
-Spit a mass of molded earth that gradually grows into a humanoid warrior
-Expel chakra from your fist, effectively making rock grow from your skin which you then use to punch your enemy
-Using the same method, expel chakra from your whole body to encase yourself in an armor of rock

Try each one. As you'd notice, each one is increasingly harder and more specific.

I begin molding it into doton nature, as I begin exhaling I change it a large amount of mud in my throat and mouth, which I then spit out an in a mid sized puddle of mud, I then further manipulate my chakra in the mud to make it grow and form large wall in front of me that quickly hardens to a rock defense.

With the same principle in mind, I follow the process of breathing in a large breathe of air to mold with chakra I pull into my lungs. Shortly after I start the exhaling process where I change the doton chakra into mud in my mouth. Next I spit it out away from me, as the mud reaches the air in front of me I trigger residual chakra in the mudball to instantly harden it to a flying rock.

Next using the knowledge I have learned and been using so far, I quickly build up chakra an pull it into my lungs. Next I inhale a even larger amount of air, and mix it with the chakra and begin molding it. Next I start exhaling the molded chakra up my throat where I turn it into a large amount of mud, which quickly flows out of my mouth and onto the ground infront of me. The chakra left in the mud begins to take shape and turn the puddle into a tall human like warrior capable of battling by my side.

I focus on my chakra core where I begin molding my chakra and pulling it through my coils. Next I begin pulling it towards my right hand. As it flows through my right arm I begin manipulating my chakra to doton nature, next I release it through the tenketsu in my right palm, Where i mold it further turning it into rocks that seem to grow out of my skin changing my fist into a rock covered mass capable of punching my enemy for further damage.


Using the same method as the rock fist I created. I begin molding chakra in my core shaping it to the properties of doton element. Now that i've made the doton chakra in my core, I start channeling it to the chakra coils throughout my body. As it flows all over my chakra network, I start pouring it out of all my tenketsu's til it coats my body, with that it begins changing form to soild rock that much like the fist appears to be growing out of my skin, successfully encasing my body in a rock armor.

Ok, good enough.

Now, simple question: this method is no perfect but it is useful. In your opinion, which are the main limitations of this method and what are its main uses or advantages?

 

[Gaara]

This method is limited to not being able to create rock or to start the jutsu's with any form of sturdy material. Everything that comes from this method begins with mud or dust and is manipulated or built up into rock or dense material. This method requires the use of air in my lungs mixed with molded chakra from my core, where as other methods allow me to use the earth beneath me to start, this method needs air as a medium to mix with "mud" created inside of me.

Some advantages are that I don't require earth around me or to even be in contact with earth to use Doton release. I can use molded chakra and Air as a medium to manipulate mud into rock and other jutsu forms.

I think you misunderstood the overal method. Read back, try to graps the basic concept behind it and reply aain. ^^

Think about it...it revolves around you creating your own earth...nothing more...

This method is about turning chakra and air into simple doton nature releases, without the use of actual earth elements. This is done by using breathing and molded chakra to expel rocks, mud, or dust from various parts of my body. Such as rocks from my skin to form armor or improved taijutsu attacks, mud balls expelled outwards and used to build up into a defensive wall, or converted to rock for offensive damage. Own created is the simplest of doton releases, an requires the lowest skill level to use. Though it lacks the use of any actually pre-existing earth sources, it makes up for it in it's versatility and quick uses.

( I've re-read your entry to Own-Created, an have tried to supply you with the answer you are requiring, hopefully I gave a more acceptable anwser this time )

This basic concept has nothing to do with AIR...

It revolves around the creation of Earthen Materials and thus techniques through the use of your chakra alone, with no other medium. It doesn't revolve around manipulation of existing earthen sources but rather the creation and then manipulation of a given source.

This said, if you have to create your own earth, what do you think is the main disadvantage of this method? Thing about it...you're creating earth from your chakra alone...not manipulating existing earth...

(Forgive me Sensei, I've been working 60hour weeks, school, and my wife has just given birth to my twin daughters, so my answers have come from sleep deprived me. Not my best work ): )


I would say that own created earth, would be much slower than simply manipulating already present earth. Also I would conclude that earth made from chakra alone is not near as strong, the shields wouldn't be as strong as ones made from pre-existing earth.

Well, the main problem is more "size". Creating earth requires more effort and chakra than manipulating existing one so for the same amount of chakra you can't for this method create as many earth as you can manipulate using the manipulation method. Also, these techniques are fast and can be used anywhere, even without contact with earth sources but it also means that their size is smaller than other methods can produce.

Now, questions before we talk about each technique?

No questions though I will say I think i'm embarrassing myself with my replies and such. With my new work schedule and dealing with my twins, I don't think I can give the proper answers or any form of knowledgeable training replies for awhile. I'm grateful you saw fit to take me on as a disciple, I just don't think I can live up to my guarantee of not disappointing you.

That being said I know you are very busy with your own training and/or mod duties, so I would like to give you the chance to drop me as your student. Until a point in time where I can give some form of intelligent replies or I can accumulate enough time and brain power to do more than half-ass our training. I skimmed quickly over what you've been through with Scorps but I'm going to need a more indepth way to assess just where are you. I saw that you went through the first method thus far. Tell me what you've learned from that method so far, what has Scorps made you do, what you've learned from the method, etc.

What you've learned from that method:
Well this method was about own created Earth Release. Meaning that earth jutsus are created from chakra alone. I originally confused this concept and began to think that it manipulating air and chakra to form the earth techniques (Reading back I have no idea why I thought that...), and I thought that own created would be weaker than manipulated earth. However Scorps was nice enough to beat into my head that it was not the case.

Now I learned that Own Created Doton is very fast, and doesn't require you to have any contact with earth making it usable anywhere. Own Created Doton has a few draw backs though. It cost more chakra to say spit out enough Own Created Doton to form a wall, then it would to manipulate exiting earth into a wall. Own Created all suffers the drawback of creating earth techniques in a small size.

What has Scorps made you do?:

Well we began with the basics of ninjutsu, moved on to chakra control, before getting to nature manipulation, and finally shape manipulation for Doton. Afterwards we moved onto Own Created jutsus, where I practiced the very basics.

You've gotten through about half of the techniques so I'll introduce the second half

Still focusing on techniques that come directly from your body:

Just like with the rock armor I want you to channel your chakra through your body and release it in a coating only this time you're not creating an armor of rock but rather turning your skin from head to to metalic like steel

Then I want you to do the same thing again only this time you'll turn your body into solid stone and almost transforming you into a monster from the amount of stone and earth. It's a stronger version of the latter two and in that form you can mold chakra into your limbs to change the shape and make weapons like swords and hammers

Finally just like you began for the mudshots and bullets, you'll channel chakra up into your mouth but instead of detaching it from your body and creating mud, it will contiuously sprout out of you in the form of solid rock. You'll then use shape manipulation to form it into a descent sized golem that can act on accord to attack your opponent.

As it flows all over my chakra network, I start pouring it out of all my tenketsus til it coats my body, with that my skin begins to change into a metallic nature as strong as steel itself.

Like before I mold chakra in my core, and begin channeling it out to my coils and to my tenketsus, mixing the 2 jutsu's together I'm able to completely coat my body in a solid rock armor. Channeling my chakra to both my hands I'm able to further use shape manipulation on the armor to change the armor around my hands into a large hammer and sword. Smash and Slash combo!

I begin focusing chakra, molding it into Doton nature. Once i've acquired the correct amount of chakra needed, I begin exhaling the chakra outwards, as it reaches my mouth I use shape manipulation to spit it out in the form of multiple large rocks that combine together into a fierce giant of a golem.
