Amazing, they managed to stop the fastest thing in the Universe. It's really amazing, I wonder what it looked like when they did it....

the amount of magnetic force they needed to stop light is enormous. the only thing in nature that is capble of this is a black hole (it's black because it is so strong it can suck in light).
actully, a key requierment of special relativity and by extension quantum mechanics is that there can't be anything faster then light, it's a fundamental law in physics and something that if proven wrong will prove the entire modern physics wrong.
