I would like to read some good Sci-Fi/Fantasy book. From fantasy books, I would like to read one of the books from "Forgotten Realms" but I'm really not sure which one of them is good. About Sci-Fi, I would like the most if there is some kind of a book similar to television drama series "Heroes" (special abilities, etc.). Thnx in advance...

The Supernaturalist by Eoin Colfer is pretty good.
There's also Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian by Rick Riordan.
I'm reading The Rangers Apprentice - Book 1: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan right now.

Look up Liarn Hearn - Tales of the Otori-series. Fantasy, set in a world inspired by Samurai age Japan, special abilities/magic excist, but in a surprisingly realistic setting. Well written, and once you finish one volume, all you want is to run out and get the next.

The first volume is called 'Across The Nightingale Floor'. Run and get it :)

Agreed, if you're looking for good Forgotten Realms books, you can't go wrong with the Legend of Drizzt series (and the branch off ones after that). Perfect place to start reading Forgotten Realms books.

If you want a combination of Sci-Fi and Fantasy, I would highly recommend the alternate history series by S.M. Stirling starting with the book "Dies the Fire" a novel of the change. Then, there are other books on the change too by other authors which some incorporate even more fantasy on top of the science fiction and alternate history.

Sci fi recommendation:

Who suggested Stanislav Lem? Good suggestion!!

Also: The Diamond Age, by Neal Stephenson

The Dispossessed, by Ursula Le Guin

Dune, by Frank Herbert (and the following novels in that series)

Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card (ditto)

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, by Philip K. **** (lol. long live profanity filter. His name is spelled D.i.c.k)

Anything by Orson Scott Card at all. The Alvin Maker series is based in early 19th century America, with a lot of Historical figures making cameos.
